  1. This is why people werent sure about him coming into the draft. He has a seriously hard time throwing outside the hashes. Baltimore's scheme was incredible this year. They had people so scared of the run that everyone sucked on the play action fakes, and Lamar had easy throws to tight ends down the middle of the field. Going to have to throw to wideouts if he wants long term success. Better hope Roman sticks around as well.
  2. Collison Low Crossers was was very very good. Next Man Up was another good read about the on-goings inside a professional football operation. If you're into X's and O's The Art of Smart Football is a good starter. My wife bought me Bill Belichick on Football for Christmas and that's been a nice read on how to put a team together. A couple interesting quotes "You do anything you can to win within the confines of the rules, you dont want to pass the line where you're cheating." Ironic considering, but brought to mind how often they use rub routes, which is clearly cheating. The other brought to mind Joe Judge "You're always happy when someone on your staff gets an opportunity, but when their opportunity turns into you losing resources thats where the line is crossed. Again, happy for them, but the way they build their program should not come at a deficit for ours." Always wanted to start a blog or a podcast as well, watching film and writing summaries is my hobby, but I am not sure I have the extra time for the getting it onto the internet piece. Read Collison Low Crossers, you'll love it. Ten times the book Anonymous is.
  3. It's incredible how poor the talent at major college programs to be. Watching film of guys like Shenault and Aiyuk is mind numbing at times becasue their olines cant block and their quarterbacks cant play.
  4. They both come across as narcissists. I've found that people who make practical life matters into Hollywood profound are usually emotionally immature and very hard to trust.
  5. He benefited a ton from injuries last season. Tampa Bay had no choice but to target him. Hard not to worry about giving money to a player who would be on his fourth team in five years who has drop issues. Too many other options this year to warrant paying him.
  6. Read it a few months back. It was ok but honestly the guy who wrote it came across as kind of a bag of candied Antonio Browns. Interesting to try and figure out who he was speaking about but it was a celebrity TMZ book more than anything else.
  7. Bill needs to pay his PIs better. Seriously though, how do you keep getting it this wrong.
  8. One of the guys I am surprised isn't rated higher. Doesnt provide much in the way of position flex, but if you're talking strictly an X wideout he is an absolute beast. Has to prove he can run the route tree, but man do I like his nastiness.
  9. A.J. Brown from the Titans reminds me a lot of Moulds. A
  10. Totally agree on the Book thing, he under threw him a lot on 9 routes, it was kind of frustrating. I also agree he is faster than Pittman, just not by a lot. Where I disagree is on the contested catch thing. He was inconsistent there. When I compare him with Pittman I just think Jr. is more of a nuanced player. Finds the zone better, runs better routes near the line of scrimmage, blocks better and those are the things I'd look for in a pure X wideout. We will see though, and as a Notre Dame guy I am hoping you're right.
  11. I think thats a great comparison, Deebo was a 4.48 guy and thats exactly where I expect Aiyuk to come out. I think Samuel was much better with the ball in his hands that Aiyuk showed over his two years at Arizona State, but I think Aiyuk is more of a threat at the second level. Arizona State tried to get Aiyuk in space on screens and flats but it just didnt seem to take. He isnt slow by any means, he just seems to be more of a build up fast guy than sudden. I am a big Notre Dame guy, and love some of the highlight reel catches Claypool made while there, but I just dont think he has enough speed to be a full time NFL wideout. Way too big of a guy to struggle with contested catches, and his release at the LOS may be an issue. If he was a better blocker I'd say move him to off the ball tight end. I think he will be a project. If you want a big wideout you have to go Pittman Jr. over Claypool.
  12. Not sure I like Aiyuk as much as others seem to. He is a good route runner, offers you position flexibility, special teams, high points because of his long arms but I am not a huge fan of his hands or speed. I can see him as a mid to high 4.4 guy but at 5'11 I'd much rather him show more speed in space.
  13. I dont think there is no chance. The guy is around 1000 yards behind Thurman and has him in touchdowns. He is not a first ballot guy by any means, but I do think long term he will be considered or make it. On the Lynch thing, you may have me. Its debatable as Shady missed some games and still had more total yards, but Lynch has him in touchdowns.
  14. No I think the Bills wanted him on the one year 8 million dollar contract to get him in the building and see how he fit in the organization. This way they could get the full Clowney experience and determine whether they were willing to give him the larger contract. I dont see them as be in on a guy for 20 million or more they have no real context for outside of Brian Gaine.
  15. That actually makes quite a bit more sense.
  16. Different strokes for different folks.
  17. Happy he was on the Bills for a bit. Long term I think he makes it into the Hall of Fame, arguably the best back in the NFL from 2011-2014. Not sure how happy he will be to win a superbowl not being active, but I wish him all the best.
  18. I havent played a video game outside of the Wii we got the kids in nearly twenty years. I do get the fever now and then when my oldest son starts talking about playing Madden with his friends, but I cant fathom paying 500 or 600 dollars for pretty much anything outside of maybe lawn equipment. Has people's supplemental income went up that much?
  19. No because he isnt going to surround him with people who tell him no, or offer him real advice. He is going to surround himself with yes man who tell him its the world not him thats wrong. That is until the money runs out, and those people will be gone too.
  20. Demone dates a local girl and was at my church all the way out in Orleans County this summer. Seeing someone like that close up answers any question that people are born to be NFL players.
  21. His size will be something to watch out for at the combine. He is listed at 6'0 190, but I feel like his measurables will come in under that. He is my favorite wideout prospect right now, as he really seems to have it all. Runs great routes, is pretty fierce in the blocking game despite his size, catches the ball outside of his frame, and is unparalleled when it comes to taking slants and screens to the house. Jeudy has special footwork, but Ruggs isnt that far off. Wish he gave you a bit more at the X position but other than that he is a great prospect.
  22. About as bad as most of the mumble auto tuned garbage out right noe.
  23. The Bills didnt win a thing when Sammy was here. I think he is an overrated player, and I am amazingly glad they didnt keep him because there is no way I'd want the Bills to pay $16 Million Dollars a year for a oft injured number 2 wideout. If your a fan of the guy fine, thats your business. But, when anyone gets on here and tells me they are upset the Bills didnt keep a guy who makes top ten money at his position but hasnt ranked in the top 40 of any statistical relevant stat in the last two years, I am going to mention that maybe the Bills made the right decision. The guy is a prime candidate to be released this offseason, the Chiefs are up against the Cap and need to make space, and Watkins has the biggest cap savings of anyone on the team right now. I am not jilted in the least just not so blinded by my personal like for a player that I cant see the reality. Watkins career statistics are on par with Peerless Price, he is a borderline number 2 wideout who will most likely be on his 4th team in 7 years if he doesn't grossly restructure his contract. Also, If I remember correctly there was a strong sense "King Me" didnt want to stay in Buffalo for his 2nd contract.
  24. Sammy Watkins is a number two wideout. He hasnt had over 700 yards or 60 catches in the league in 4 years. He has had one 1000 yard season in 6 years. Give me a break on the chemistry thing with Mahomes, A. It shouldnt take two years and countless offseason practices to develop "chemistry" with a quarterback B. He has had three 100 yard games in two seasons with the Chiefs. He has had a good post season, but my God he had two catches against the Patriots. If Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce arent on that team Sammy is an afterthought. He is a talented player, who is about the 8th best player from his own draft class. To date John Brown has had a better career, so actually he is a number 2 on this team just like he is on the Chiefs, number three if you count Kelce. The Watkins stuff really needs to die here. He is on his third team in 6 years, and is being overpaid for his production. I am amazingly glad he doesnt play here anymore. A lot of Bills fans are just really good at being jilted lovers, and hypercritical on the most inane topics.
  25. Watching the Titans is like watching the Bills with a better runningback.
