Around the League Preseason Games Thread

He was always that bad. No lateral movement, weak arm, poor decisions in college. He was hyped based on his "footwork." Everyone failed to mention his feet were made of cement. Hard to teach a kid who knows it all already. -
I buy the chemicals, I pay the property taxes, and I clean the pool. Ill piss in it anytime I like. If I catch anyone else doing it, they will be voted off the island.

UB Bulls popping up all over on Thursday
thenorthremembers replied to BobbyC81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Tyree Jackson has the best shot at making a PS. I dont want to go on too much of a limb because of Meyer's obsession with Tebow, but the other two would be cuts to me. Matthews' knees are shot, and Tebow is kind of long in the tooth for a position switch. -
Gotta blame someone. Seems like a well spoken, intelligent guy. However, the emotional intelligence may be a different story altogether.

Diet. Drinking about 130 oz of water a day right now to help lose weight, but got in a terrible habit of drinking Diet Pepsi daily awhile back. Love the bubbles and taste. Recently bought a soda stream to try and break the habit with carbonated water.

If it wasnt a tradition there I'd say the issue with the wideouts in Baltimore is their current QB doesnt throw the ball outside the hashes. Hollywood Brown is a good player, just not the type of guy that plays to Lamar's strengths. -
I actually think this is the way to do it. You dont hand anything to anyone, let him earn the position. Minshew is not as physically gifted, but he has won games in the league, and has teammates who have bled with him over the last few years. When you just hand a position to someone based solely on draft position you set a terrible precedent for your team and run the risk of losing your locker room. That said, Urban better make it a real competition and not just for show. The Jets went about this the complete wrong way. Should have had a vet to help coach and teach the kid on the intricacies of the pro game, and how to study film at this level. The Bills are the perfect example of how to support your QB.

Thats a great idea. My two oldest are 15 and 10 so I am sure they could adjust. Thanks for the tip! -
Bills play Catan

Yes sir! A whole house full of amazing blessings. Its hectic at times, but wouldn't trade it for the world. About 18 years away from board games and crosswords, but they can wait -

Always wanted to play but every time I go to buy it my wife reminds me we took the road where you have 6 kids and never play board games again. -

Tasker & Brown don't know the cap rules
thenorthremembers replied to Albany,n.y.'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If you listened to every podcast, radio show, and TV show about football you'd see that a lot of these guys dont know as much as they pretend to. If you spent enough time with any of us at work, you'd probably see the same thing. -
Feliciano's Presser and tip to the Offense
thenorthremembers replied to foreboding's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It was the lack of weight in Spain's head that got him cut. -
Totally agree with this. Ive worked with the same company for 11 years, and there is no way I would take the full 8 weeks and then leave. I know its not a popular opinion these days, but like it or not that company has helped you lay the foundation of having a family. Rather than taking a tactical approach try and consider what the right way to do things is.

2022 HOF First Time Eligibles
thenorthremembers replied to Buffalo03's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Are we seriously considering Tony Romo a HOFer? If he gets in you better open the doors to guys like McNabb, Carson Palmer, Joe Flacco, Kerry Collins, Matthew Stafford, and Andy Dalton. Sound crazy? They've all had similar careers to ole Tony. A couple of them even won Super Bowls. I know he is on TV alot and is a former Cowboy, but he was just good he was never great. Had he played more than 12 years he may even of had to take the Dalton or Flacco route as he would have ended up Daks backup. -
It's Time to Mandate Vaccines
thenorthremembers replied to The Frankish Reich's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Agreed. I feel like I am a generally logical person. I see all this guilt and fear being spread and I dont understand it when I am watching people who have the vaccine still testing positive. I am not antivax, I am just pro common sense and it appears that is way out the window right now in favor of fear mongering. Also, Crangis McBasketball. -
It's Time to Mandate Vaccines
thenorthremembers replied to The Frankish Reich's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
The vaccines were all developed using Fetal Cell Lines descended from aborted fetus. Not sure which religion condones ripping children from a womb? But outside of voodoo I dont know many. The religious exemption is not about not wanting to get a vaccine, its about morality and its a real thing not a ploy. Religion, to many, isnt just a casual thing. As far as the vaccine goes please explain this to me, and Im not being sarcastic, I truly want to understand your view. Ive never had Covid, or never been symptomatic, which most likely means I have the antibodies because the idea that Ive never been exposed to this point is almost impossible. But yes, I can spread it. Or I can get the vaccine, still get Covid, become symptomatic, or stay asymptomatic and still spread the disease as we are already seeing proof of. Oh and I may also suffer the side effects of the drug. So whats the benefit? -
