  1. A good source from deep within my brain reports that the Pats will trade The Refs + 23 + 31 + 43 + 63 + 95 for #1 overall. They will then select a conglomeration of blood samples taken from all the best aspects of each QB that YOU, dear readers, want in the draft, combine them in the nefarious BALCO Labs to form the G.O.A.T. x 10,000. What proceeds will be a 50 year reign of terror over the AFC East... BUT McBeane will hoodwink The Hoodie by trading JUST 12 + 22 to move to the AFC North, beginning a similar reign of dominance. Part deux of the deal--and the true ingenious move by McBean--will be The Bills trading Kim Pegula for Gisele Bündchen, cementing us as having the hottest owner's wife in the league. Can ANYONE claim to have a better draft-day story? Come at me, bro! ... I love draft season... more drafts, please!
  2. Props, OP, for having a well-thought out and original take. I, for one, appreciate it!
  3. Rather than creating the same thread, here's something to consider, while everyone on this board almost categorically has decided Beane needs to be lynched for "letting" the Jets "jump us" for the 3rd pick. It's a little concept called Echo Chamber Thought. Give this a quick listen/read: https://www.npr.org/sections/alltechconsidered/2016/07/24/486941582/the-reason-your-feed-became-an-echo-chamber-and-what-to-do-about-it With that as philosophical context, please read the following article from Walterfootball.com (decidedly NOT a Bills-specific media source): http://walterfootball.com/nfltrades.php All I'm saying is this, folks: at the moment I click "Submit Topic" on this thread, there are 1,021 (and counting) replies to the post entitled "Jets just traded with Colts for #3 pick in first round ". OTHER, well-informed sources (Walter Football just being one) are not saying the Bills have ruined their hopes of a future by "letting" the Jets "jump us" in the draft... Keep in mind, they were ahead of us to begin with. Some folks must think 6 comes after 12... We are our own worst nightmare, guys and gals... We DO NOT know what Donald Rumsfeld once coined "the unknown unknowns" about the trade between the Jets and Colts, and the talks our F.O. had with the Colts, Browns, and Giants (not to mention the Broncos at #5). Rumsfeld, for your reference: PLEASE stop for a moment, pull your heads out of this echo-chamber we all participate in, and BILLieve that the Bills F.O. is NOT Two Bills Drive, The Stadium Wall, or your specific echo-chamber of hive-mind thought! WE DO NOT KNOW if Beane was bluffing or being honest, when he said (in YESTERDAY's presser) that we may not take a QB in the 1st: http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/22793158/buffalo-bills-general-manager-brandon-beane-says-no-guarantee-team-moves-nfl-draft-take-quarterback We've all already forgotten YESTERDAY... Good, dear, sweetbabyjesus, folks... Have faith that our F.O. is working hard to do the best it can, and recognize that we are all only getting up in a tizzy about something we, in our VERY limited and EXCEEDINGLY skewed (by the echo-chamber effect and unknown unknowns) vantage points! We will be alright, guys and gals. I, for one, have faith in McBeane. #endrant
  4. Normally, I would agree, but if you've watched any tape on Love, you would recognize that he is a seriously special talent. I've heard, in an interview, that McCafferty (who was Stanford's RB before Love) even admitted that Love is probably the better back. And where did McCafferty go? 8th... If the talent is there, the player is available, and they may be a generational talent, you take that player. Shady won't be Shady forever. Get Shady V 2.0. Get Bryce Love III!
  5. 21 - Bryce Love III - RB - Stanford 22 - Vita Vea - DT - Washington Package both 2nd rounders to move up and snag best QB available in late 1st / early 2nd.
  6. In past years, maybe, but McBeane seems to have a keen nose for finding talented players in later rounds. Plus, we need all the talent they can find. I say keep as many as possible, unless there is a guy McBeane really wants. In a case like that, package some lower rounders to move up and get their guy, like they did last year.
  7. If I recall correctly, the 6th round pick we received from the Jags for Marcell Dareus COULD turn into a 5th round pick IF the following situations transpire: -Dareus plays the entirety of the 2017 season. -The Jags make the playoffs. Anybody have the details on this? Because it looks like both are happening. Not a huge deal, but a 5th could be a Milano or a Peterman. Just sayin'.
  8. 1. We are terrible everywhere, so any position we pick in the 2018 draft will help this team. 2. Due to #1, we can actually go BPA, which means we aren't skipping over better players to fill needs. EVERY POSITION IS A NEED! 3. Two 1sts, two 2nd's, and a 3rd in 2018. 4. The Chiefs somehow managed to pull a Bills move, and lost to the Giants, meaning the 1st we get from them will be a little higher. 5. As this water-logged Dixie-cup of a ship sinks, our draft capital goes up, up, and away! 6. Somebody stop me...
  9. "Are you serious? Are you serious, right now, Carolina? Are you serious?" #preach
  10. Two moves: 1. GM "A", of a quarterback wasteland of a franchise, misses out by minutes on a trade for a young QB with playoff experience at the trade deadline. 2. GM "B", of a team whose quarterback is thoroughly maligned by both his fanbase and the national media, deals some serious draft capital for a #1 wide receiver in the dying seconds of the trade period. Four questions: 1. Which move does a good GM make? 2. Which GM do you want leading your team? 3. Which GM have the Bills had in the past? 4. Which GM do the Bills have now? one... two... three... GO!
  11. I LOVE seeing Sourpuss Sully spend the first thirty-two seconds of this video chewing his tongue, and working up the gumption to say something positive about the Bills. He really dug deep for anything beyond his typical, putrid negativity. Game ball to Jerry Sullivan, folks, for giving 110% this week... Stay posi, Sully
  12. Failbook only speaks the truth. I bet my soul on it last week, and it did wonders for my complexion...
  13. Did anybody else notice: Tackles Solo Sacks TFL PD QB Hits TD INT Matt Milano 5 4 0 2 1 1 0 1 5th rounder out of Boston College... NAWWWT BAAAAAD! 55
  14. Bored and watching the Michigan vs Michigan State game. U of M has a WR named McDoom (#13). I don't know about you guys, but, according to my math, McDoom + McBeane = McDoomBeane 2018 UDFA? Justsayin' I'm here all night, folks...
  15. Don't worry, fellas, Uncle RICO will figure out how to get Tyrod to audible...
  16. Wait... I believe you are inaccurate. I just read in sub-clause 204.5b of the NFL Rules (2017 Extended Edition) that it only doesn't count when the Bills beat an inferior opponent. Sub-clause 204.5a CLEARLY states that when the Pats**** defeat an inferior opponent, the NFL Gods gloat in heaven, and inflate Brady's cajones by .036 psi.
  17. Before we all freak out... Alex Smith will regress to his mean: 198.7 ypg (career). Even if we take his stats from 2012 - 2016, his mean is only 213.5 ypg. Stats, from Pro-Football Reference.com: https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/S/SmitAl03.htm#passing::none Our KC pick isn't doomed to be #32... Smith's stats, plus losing Berry for the year, means KC will be a good, team, possibly miss the playoffs (sans Berry), and give us a pick between 12 and 23. That's my estimate; quote me on it!
  18. This is clearly #fakenews The Bills are the only NFL team allowed to have suspect depth! Every other team in the NFL is six deep at WLB, MLB, SLB, CB, S, QB, RB, FB, and WR. Some teams are only five deep at K and PR, but otherwise... I digress...
  19. No. The Pats* are absolute angels; they would never rub dirt in anyone's face... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=syI049_Hyf0
