Let's put some of this to rest though: Do you think a guy that has had shoulder surgery and concussions would still be around if he didn't in some way love football? Would former teammates and current ones speak highly of him at this juncture when they don't have to? It's the same thing with Mayfield. There are a lot of narratives to dig through to find out what is really the case. And even then you are not going to be 100 percent sure you''ll just have to trust your gut.

If I had to "accept" Allen at 12 then I'd be OK so long as we got Vander Esch or Raashan Evans at MLB. But if we give away the capital that it is being reported we will have to give up to move to #2 and select Allen this will be the most disappointing offseason in I don't know when. I don't think so. I think they want him at weakside. I'm thinking Humber will be our next MLB. Not because it is what is ultimately desired, but what else can we do if we are trying to land a franchise signal caller on offense? Secondly, I'm not sure how you come to the conclusion that MLB is an irrelevant position. Pretty sure McD would disagree., wherein the ideal world he could get a franchise signal caller on offense and a Luke Kuechly on Defense.

That's a pretty good haul. Not going to lie. That's a damn good haul, which means it's probably not really possible. Hernandez may move up the boards into the 1st. Chubb will probably go round 2. But who knows these things haha.

I can live with this because of Evans. I guess I'd accept Allen at 12 if Rosen, Darnold, Mayfield are gone. That means that McCarron will need to work out so Allen can sit. But if we could get these two then bolster OL in rd 2 I'll take it. I really like Evans. Ugghhh but he has us taking Allen even with Mayfield on the board. YUK.

I think what I would do is trade 12, both 2nd rounders this year and next year's first. Then what I would do after taking the QB, I would trade 22 for a 1st next year and a 3rd and 5th this year. This way we still have a first rounder next year.

And he's going to have to hope that this QB they pick works out. If not he's a goner. These are the types of moves that either keep GMs around or get them out of the door.

LOl everything has been smoke so maybe .... On a serious note though I think the drafting of Peterman last year was a sign they prefer a pocket guy. Who knows? We'll see in a matter of 6 weeks.

He for sure had a great cast, but the one thing I'm going to look at today though is his pass placement. That's really all I care about. Good cast or bad cast I want to see pass placement and great decision making.

I think we might be looking at Rudolph or 2nd tier guys now. The Jets F'ed up the price. They gave up a 1st and 3 2nd round picks to move up just 3 spots. With that kind of price to pay, now the Giants are going to command a damn fortune. I'm not happy about this at all. As I said late last week, teams like Denver and the Jets offer more value because the Giants and the Colts can still get their guy and "rape" them for picks. That's exactly what happened here. The Colts are still going to get Chubb if that's who they want and they just stacked the deck.
