  1. I agree with you, but part of this is because we did so well this year record wise, which I wouldn't trade. If we win 4 games, these conversations and scenarios are easier to talk about. But then we'd still have that playoff thing on our backs so...
  2. Or they could be the Giants and Colts trade targets where they don't lose out on the blue chip player they want. I could easily see the Giants trading with the Jets or Broncos. Giants having Nelson in mind at both picks. They could lose him to the Colts though so ....
  3. I'd be disappointed, but it's not a failure. It always takes two to tango and just because the Bills are dangling whatever in someone's face doesn't mean they have to or want to take it. They just might be glued in on their guy and say thanks but no thanks.
  4. Exactly, so there is no one configuration as has been suggested. I'd think a backup HB as well. In any case, I want a franchise QB for sure. But I also have a price point. I think the biggest issue for us is that we probably played beyond what we expected. And honestly, I wouldn't trade it for anything. I'd want to do it again. But this has put us in a pickle in terms of getting one of the top QBs. It really has. I can see the Giants trading with a team in the top 5 to 6 but not outside of that. Given Gettleman's history (a guy that has never traded back, but always traded up), he's a I'd rather have a dime over two nickels kind of guy. If you look at Indy, given their defensive situation, how do you pass up Bradley Chubb or a guy like Roquan Smith? I can see them trading but if these are the guys that they have in mind, they are not trading with the Bills. I just think we are not in a good spot for teams in the top 5 to say sure, we'll trade with you. Now if it's in the teens then I can see us getting there. But I honestly don't see us making it into the top 5. So from my perspective, we have to hope a guy drops.
  5. It sure is. Let me ask a question in return. What kind of players are you going to need on offense to build an offense that will "score a ton?"
  6. I hear you. But MAJ, the majority of SB winners have also had GREAT defense too. I just don't think it is an either or thing here. As you can see, the majority of the defenses have been really damn good. I don't know the exact stat but from this chart it looks like it's at least 80% the case that dominant defenses win the SB. This doesn't mean we don't need a franchise QB because we do. But what it might suggest is that the either/or logic is wrong.
  7. Well if that's true then if I'm Cleveland I'm trading a 3rd to the Giants and swapping #4 for #2. That way you get the HB and the QB.
  8. I'd take Barkely first, especially if you grade three QB's pretty close together. You are guaranteed a QB. And the best part about it is you make his life easier with a bell cow HB.
  9. I'm pretty sure the issue is about price and not whether people want a franchise QB or not.
  10. I'd take this guy and many like him all day every day of the week. This guy basically has 1 hand and did 20 reps on the bench yet Brown out here only putting up 14. Griffin is a damn Lion.
  11. No. If the player is going, then no need for the 2nd rd 2019 IMO. I do want Mayfield though.
  12. How anyone can have Allen ahead of Mayfield is beyond me. I honestly would not take Allen before the 3rd rd. Reminds me so much of Kyle Boller. Strong arm, but not very accurate and his football IQ was questionable. But the Ravens took him in the 1st after they took Suggs. They gave up a first in the next year's draft to trade back up for him and Newsome has never done that again.
  13. To me skinny is based on eye test, not numbers. Same thing with Fat. I can look at numbers all day, but I need to see the frame. I don't consider Darnold or Jackson skinny. They have muscle on their frame. Jackson more so. Rosen, who I like most at QB does look skinny because he doesn't have a lot of muscle mass and so even though he weighs more, he looks skinnier than Jackson and Darnold.
  14. Which is sad honestly. Look at him in these drills. His accuracy is a problem. He doesn't have that change up speed on passes. Too much on the passes in the sideline drills and overthrew more than he hit on the WR tracking the football drill. When you look at his tape it says the SAME thing too. His accuracy and ball placement are way too low to be even a 2nd round pick. You are right though, someone will take him but it'll be a shame and I hope that it is not us.
  15. Darnold isn't. He's got some bulk on his frame. Just watch his 40 and you can see some bulk. BTW I wouldn't classify Jackson as skinny. He just has a low bodyfat %. I like what Ozzie Newsome said about Lamar. "He's a QB on our board."
  16. I'm sure we will attempt to make a move, whether or not other teams budge is the question. You have to have someone to work with. So on draft day if you don't see us in the top five don't automatically assume we didn't try to make a move. Other teams may be asking for way too much OR they didn't want to sell and wanted their guy at the pick.
  17. Mehhh I'm not saying I'd draft him but I agree with him when he said, "I'm a QB". I wouldn't switch just because that is someone else's perception of what I should be. F that. I get to make that decision. I would even be offended and pissed off that I was asked. I wouldn't want to play for any organization that asked if I were him. BTW, Bill Polian is not 100% right about Jackson being a WR. One thing a good WR has is catch radius and big mits. Lamar Jackson does not have big hands. If Polian thinks Jackson is a WR I don't want Polian drafting WR's for me.
  18. LOL, gotcha.
  19. There's still a huge difference in saying Ricky Williams ran high and Bo Scarb runs high. Watch Williams' top 10 career plays : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y0MTQnD_yWk then go watch Bo Scarb run. It's nowhere near the same thing. You can say both ran high but to me Williams pad level is different and his stout compact frame was an advantage for him. Bo Scarbs tall angular frame with a high pad level requires A+ blocking up front to get the train out of the station. Otherwise, none of that "power" will be on display.
  20. He had a low center of gravity too though and powerful legs with choppy feet. Bo doesn't have that.
  21. 3rd I think
  22. If you bring in Will Hernandez and a Tackle with that package to block for them I'm on board.
  23. Good eye. I didn't pay attention at first. Makes complete sense why he's saying this. Bo, is that you??
  24. Me either. 14 reps for somebody his size is nowhere near freakish and he ran a 4.6. Nothing freakish about this at all. He's Derrick Henry light. They both can be a problem if they get going but they also both run very high, no wiggle. Same frame, same running style.
