The Underappreciated Genius of Chan Gailey
Capco replied to The Frankish Reich's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Paraphrasing: The entire staff has been relieved of their duties... I was brought in to turn the ship around. Didn't get it done.... we got it done before 2 times, but we couldn't get it done here. Great, great Buffalo fans. Great football town. This may be... no, actually this is the only place that has ever fired me, that I'll pull for. Thank you. -
Fans (aka fanatics) have been like this for literally thousands of years. We are slightly tamer than our ancestors, but that's about it.

Zo will retire as one of my favorite Bills. I really feel like he exemplifies grit, resilience, and effort: all hallmarks of Western New York itself.
-
New England should sign him to a 1-day contract so that he can retire as a Patriot.

That has nothing to do with you being a racist, xenophobic, climate change denier. -
100%. Couldn't agree more.

Actually, I have a panel of scientists sitting right next to me that I've paid to refute this claim and state that it actually smells like dog food. Unfortunately I was not able to get an audience this week on #MeetThePress to debunk these claims. That damn cat propaganda machine is at it again! -

It would be awful. You'd never hear the end of it. And how interesting. Arcade, NY is 98.5% white. No wonder you have zero perspective in any of your posts and feel at home in your echo chamber here. -

You're being intellectually dishonest with yourself if you think you're capable of changing your mind. Then again, I couldn't change your mind about the fact that you can't change your mind since, after all, you can't change your mind -

There's no point. You're all lost causes. I could be the smartest, most well-informed person in the world and it wouldn't make one iota of difference to any of you. You're all set in your ways. This thread proves that. The best thing for humanity at this point is to just wait until you are all dead. Hopefully you didn't pass those views down to your children, otherwise we have to wait even longer. -

Lol. The grasping for straws just on this last page alone is hilarious. And pretty ***** sad. -
With a full year under their belt and a new off-season to prepare, it's not out of the realm of possibilities to think that the offense takes a step forward in regards to executing the complex scheme. From what I've read about E-P offenses, they are easy on the QB conceptually but a little more difficult on the skill positions because they require a high degree of execution across the board.

Of the top 10 highest scoring teams since 1990, only one (the '99 Rams) won the Superbowl in their respective years.

WR Duke Williams of CFL’s Eskimos Signs with Bills
Capco replied to LEBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Looks like he had alligator arms at times, but also makes some max radius catches too. Very glad to see the Bills actively working the WR position. -
Stephon Gilmore - first team AP All-Pro
Capco replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You're right, I shouldn't have stated it as fact since no one that I can find keeps track of penalties that could have been called but weren't. The NFL keeps track of missed calls when they grade the zebras' accuracy every week to determine who officiates the Superbowl and who gets fired, but that data isn't available as far as I can tell. It's just an observation from a casual fan, but certainly one that I'm not alone in seeing and certainly not impossible. Why that troubles a Bills fan as much as it is troubling you is beyond me, however. And then there's stuff like this: https://www.theringer.com/nfl-playoffs/2018/1/29/16943670/new-england-patriots-penalties-edge And this: https://www.nola.com/saints/index.ssf/2009/09/timespicayune_analysis_of_last.html -

Are you suggesting that the refs don't miss calls? -

And how many times did they get away with defensive holding without being called for it compared to the rest of the league? -

Going to NE was probably the best thing for Gilmore's career. He's in a system that masks his main deficiency (a cornerstone of Belichick's D is that they always set the edge, meaning less 1 on 1 matchups between CB and RB during runs), he's in an organization that is the darling of the league and as such he is allowed to play more physically against receivers (which is a strong suit of his), and last but not least, he got paid. -
Is it likely that a new OL coach is hired before any personnel decisions are made?
