  1. I'm more upset about how Whaley and Overdorf handled it. They put the minimal tender on Hogan, they could have spent another $850K and put a second round tender on him. So at least we would have gotten a second round pick if we did not match the pats offer. And if the pats did not go after him we would have kept him for one year $2.5 million. Pats signed him to three years $12 million. So they felt he was worth $4 million a year but we didn't tender him for a second or $2.5 million. More proof how mismanaged this team was.
  2. Ha, I shared the stats comparing him to TT. Don't think for a second his name didn't come up today at OBD. Hands down he is the best option out there right now.
  3. https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/2013/07/31/concussions-keeping-nfl-players-off-the-field-longer/2604023/ This article is a little older (2013) but on average players with concussion missed 16 days. With the sensitivity of this issue and the NFL I think there is a real chance TT will not be cleared in time for week one. So to answer the OP's question, I give Peterman all the reps with the ones this week and I play him for the first quarter and maybe start the second quarter against the Lions. If he starts week one against the Jets its his job to lose. If he goes out and gets a win and the offence looks good, I'm starting him week 2. Tell the media and fans you do not want to rush TT back. If he goes in and beats the panthers guess what??? He is the hot hand and now its onto Denver with him. I don't buy into you shouldn't lose your job to injury. If this kid steps up and is balling you play him. If he struggles, TT slides right back into the starting spot.
  4. Can I vote for Peterman but I get to move TT to RB/WR?
  5. This is the one year I don't want to see Brady go down. Id rather see Jimmy leave the pats. Our luck Brady gets hurt and he comes in and wins a superbowl and were stuck playing against him for the next 10 years.
  6. Love the idea of the cheaper concessions. Hopefully this becomes the norm. http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/15560867/atlanta-falcons-offer-lowest-concession-prices-major-team-sports-new-mercedes-benz-stadium
  7. that's a good point however look at the 49ers team the last two years. If kap was on the Bills team the last two years I could argue the Bills would not have seen a drop off.
  8. You really think tens of thousands of fans would boycott the Bills If they signed him? Did you see how many browns players kneeled for the anthem last week? I'm not suggesting that the Bills sign him. I'm just pointing out that TT statistically is not a better QB at this point in his career.
  9. Yet they have almost the same stats and Kapernick has 4 more playoff wins and is going to cost a team half of what TT is getting.
  10. Kind of an interesting comparison between Tyrod and Kaepernick Lets compare these 2 players stats. This is over the same period of time. Leaving the politics out of it is there really a big statistical difference between both QB's? When you consider Colin's salary could be in the $5-$6 million base salary range with Bonuses which one would you rather have? Kaepernick is not good enough for a team to pick him up yet Tyrod is our starting QB. http://www.sportingnews.com/nfl/news/colin-kaepernick-contract-asking-prince-nfl-free-agency-rumors-news-49ers/x61dx77lpsoe1tzncfji0jkga Kap 6-4 225, 29 - 30 win record (this includes a 1-10 season) 69 games played, 59.8% completion, 72 td's 30 int Rushing - 2300 yards, 13 Td's Sacked 171 times 4-2 playoff record Tyrod 6-0 221, 14-14 record 29 games played, 62.3% completion, 37 td's 14 Int Rushing - 1248 yards, 11 Td's Sacked 78 times
  11. So Cam being named 2015 ALL PRO QB for the league had nothing to do with the season he had? Their offense was ranked 11th in the league for yards per game, and 1st in points per game. Newton was responsible for 45 touchdowns that season. Their defense that you say scored a ton in early games scored 4 td's in the entire season. I'm not sure that's a ton in early games. Exactly!!!
  12. I like where you are going here but to be fair Newton was not Newton that season. Any QB that plays that well can lead a team deep into the playoffs. He went for 3837 yards, 35 td 10 int passing with a 99.4 rating rushing he added another 636 yards and 10 td's. That's 45 Td's from your QB.
  13. Granted last season Jones and Mathews we not on the roster, Last season the leading Bills WR was Robert woods in 13 games had 613 yards 1 td Number 2 was TE Charles Clay in 15 games 552 yards 4 Td's Stevie Johnson in ten games 497 yards and 3 Td's. So you can argue if he played 3 games more to equal Woods games played he would have had more production then any WR on the Bills Roster. So why would you not bring him in and kick the tires? Perhaps he just plays better in Buffalo. Assuming he looks good and you sign him for a 1 year deal your getting him for pennies on the dollar. Its a position of need take a look at all options right now.
  14. Fan Base yes but team who knows? I don't think anyone of us know the mood of the locker room right now.
  15. That's why I posted his contract numbers. No kidding they want to dump him.
  16. Allen Hurns signed a 4 year, $40,650,000 contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars, including $20,000,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $10,162,500. In 2017, Hurns will earn a base salary of $7,000,000, while carrying a cap hit of $7,000,000 and a dead cap value of $7,000,000. Contract Terms: 4 yr(s) / $40,650,000 Signing Bonus - Average Salary$10,162,500 GTD at Sign:$16,000,000 Total GTD:$20,000,000 Free Agent:2021 / UFA
  17. I'm thinking he does not upgrade the starting position, the back up position, or the back up to the back up. So I'm going with no.
  18. Thanks 26CB, these posts are great. Good news to see these guys back on the field. Hopefully the oline gets it together.
