  1. What if the Bills beat them by 30 and then go into Charlotte and beat the Panthers? I actually think my scenario is more likely. If they can split weeks 3-4 were 3-1 to start the season and its a entirely different conversation.
  2. It feels like he is building for the future and preparing for when the pats dynasty is over.

  4. Yeah my issue with that is he is UFA. So unless they franchise him (which will be around $16 million he can just walk away.
  5. I think they are clueless. They rented a player for the season. Lets see how they feel after Sammy plays 9 games this season and is gone in FA.
  6. 2017 the year the franchise got serious about getting a QB, And still ends up with more wins then 2016.
  7. Perhaps here is another way to consider these moves and why the Bills hit a home run with the trades. Lets assume both Watkins and Darby are healthy on week one. You remove them from the lineup and you insert Matthews and Gaines. These changes to the Bills lineup will result in a zero impact on the point spread according to vegas (good article on how players impact the line below). Now if Watkins is hurt and not playing and you have Matthews in the line up it might give you .5 point movement. So the Bills generated draft currency while basically keeping the same value according to Vegas. https://www.sportsinsights.com/blog/nfl-player-point-spread-values/ Lets also consider this team is finally focused on getting their franchise QB. We are now in a position to do that next season with the stock pile of draft picks. I could be off here but I think this is the best move this team made in a long time.
  8. Nice thanks for sharing, I loved the fact that they kept Yarbrough in the entire first half. J Williams looks like he is going to make the Gillisee lose like a good thing. I also noticed this team gets out of the huddle much quicker and It appears the entire unit knows whats expected walking up to the line. Last season they looked clueless getting the plays in and coming out of the huddle. Team appeared to much better prepared for the game.
  9. This regime is doing things completely differently then the last 2. they are putting stock in the draft and bringing in the right players for what the coaching staff wants. We actually have options next year instead of being hamstrung because of trading away your picks. Say what you will about Mathews but his stats are better then Sammy's over the last 3 years and we landed a CB that's better suited for a zone scheme. Then you add in a 2nd and 3rd round pick. So I'm confused how this was pennies on the dollar. Shaw to your point even if this team goes 5-11 we stock piled picks for next years draft. Our worst case scenario on paper no longer looks that bad.
  10. they already achieved it imo. Its clear they have a strategy and are building the team for the long haul and not worried about one year.
  11. First 3 years Jordan Mathews - 46 games played, 349 targets, 2,673 yards, 11.9 ypc, 19 tds,
  12. The crazy thing is I actually really like what the Browns are doing.
  13. Jimmy G will be a UFA next season. If Brady plans on continuing to play no way will he return to the Pats. And no way will the pats franchise him. This guy is hitting the open market next season.
  14. Shaw great post and I'd say your spot on. What excites me the most is for the first time in a long team it appears that the Bills have a plan. We are going to have several options at addressing the QB position next year. If TT pans out were loaded with picks to build a winner and to your point its going to be with rookie cap friendly contracts. If we have to go in another direction we can make a serious run at either Kirk Cousins or perhaps Jimmy Garopplo. and again the Bills are loaded with Picks to build a team around them. Or this Bills can package their stock pile of picks and try to land Darnold, Rudolph, or Rosen. Dare we say the Bills just won the offseason by setting this team up for the long haul???
  15. Cam is not playing tonight. Christian McCaffrey has been tearing it up at camp. I'm interested to see what he looks like. Our LB's might have a long day if he lives up to the hype. I saw him de-cleat luke kuechly.
  16. Gilmore is not going to cover any number 1's this season man on man. BB is going to protect him and put him on the number 2 and double the 1. But if Sammy is healthy and BB did go one on one with Gilmore my over under would be 7 catches 100 yards 1 td.
  17. Solid move, instant upgrade on the number 2 spot. Adds leadership and depth to a position that needed help.
  18. Isn't the best ability availability? that's my point about why risk further injury. Also your acting like Sammy will be an upgrade in our return game. In college Sammy averaged 22.9 yards per kick off return with 1 TD over three seasons. He averaged 3.8 yards on his 6 punt returns over three years. These are college stats that are average.
  19. I'm not really sure putting your number one injury prone WR on special teams is the answer. Bills ranked 19th in kickoff return yards per attempt with 21.3 Bills ranked 6th in punt return yardage with an 11.2 average. So how much do we improve from 19th/6th by moving Sammy to special teams? No way would I take that risk/reward.
  20. I actually think they would have been better off giving Matt Moore the starting job.
  21. Bad example, They could have ran the ball the entire second half and they would have won that game.
  22. Interesting take on KC at 27. Hopefully that part is accurate and they struggle offensively and go 4-12
  23. Bills - Over Charges 7.5 - under Cowboys 9.5 under Panthers 9 - under New England 12.5, I like the under at 12-4 and you still win. Sounds good to me.
  24. I think Mashawn Lynch has to be number 2 rb
