  1. The team can still do exactly this in the offseason and get out of Butler and Jefferson to save money and revamp the middle of the line if they want. Wallace is better than Norman and Jackson right now. Norman was really terrible when he played while Wallace was hurt.
  2. That was an incredible throw by Tua. I agree with Romo there. I don't know that Tua can consistently throw out side the numbers.
  3. I'll point this out. This season Cam Newton has been so far below what anybody should consider a functional NFL passer that the 31 other teams are correct and there's a reason to Patriots got them for nothing. But Bella check is doing this year is the Mike Tomlin coaching job from last year, where he kept the team in contention for a while even though there isn't a functional playwright quarterback position and even with all the opt outs from covid. The Patriots will be competitive again when they find a functional player at the quarterback position. They're going to have a good defense, and they're going to be able to run the ball and they're going to be well coached but they need passing efficiency.
  4. If the game is close or competitive it probably doesn't change the stance on either team realistically. At the beginning of the year we had this as a toss-up or a loss and Pittsburgh's won 11 of 12, so they aren't slouches.
  5. The reason Tomlin has only won one Super Bowl is because if you remove the obvious outlier, thet super bowls that people win is either one or zero. Tomlin's tenure isn't any different than Sean Payton's or Andy Reid's, I just think that in general people don't value stability when it comes to the NFL. Having to deal with brown and bell and still winning is largely the argument for Tomlin. Both of those guys were immature cancers that fell off immediately after leaving tomlin's team and who haven't recovered since. One of the biggest breaks Pittsburgh's probably got in the last few years is that bell decided not to take their money.
  6. At this point on the field I like going for it, but the pulse of the game call is I take 3.
  7. I always felt like the body language narrative on Jay Cutler was unfair, and this notion that Murray isn't a leader has no basis in reality other than Bart Scott largely trying to get clicks. Yeah, his pre-draft situation was very unique because he was so good at two sports that he was going to be a great prospect either way and wanted to wait until both drafts played out for deciding what to do. But this is year two he is a good player. Arizona just didn't put it all together this year fast enough. They had an opportunity earlier in the year to stack wins, but ended up losing to a Carolina team that didn't have McCafferty then lost to Detroit.
  8. It's 17 passes... that's no volume, even for Lamar. The difference in efficiency is that the Ravens aren't scoring as much or pushing it down the field as much, but it's a good team that's likely to get in the playoff because the hard part of their schedule is over. But it's never going to be an operation that plays well from behind with Jackson there.
  9. So the stupidest takes in football history are Foles > Wentz and the ease of replacement for Prescott
  10. It's good to see the secondary fully healthy. Nobody outside of that nickel group is going to get too many snaps. They used Milano as the situational pass rusher yesterday. They like him vs the pass better than Klein.
  11. Yeah Kansas City. The way to get a so-called playoff by is by clinching the division early so people can sit during week 17.
  12. Player progressions not 100% linear. The fact that he's having a down year doesn't mean that you cut bait. I think that there is not a way out of the contract, but I also think Wentz is pretty good considering the past 3 years. Well managed teams don't bail on coaches and quarterbacks quickly. There's not a stupider look than saying that Philadelphia should have kept Nick Foles. Carson Wentz is better than Nick Foles this year and was excellent in 2018 after the injury and was pretty good last year too. This year I think the issues are mental and that time off for him is going to be good in the same way that it was for Josh Allen when he got hurt. More than anything, Philly gets to protect the long-term investment and can move hurts if he looks like a decent prospect or can keep him if he world beats, but that's doubtful.
  13. There's probably a lot of Coach speak going on there because they got smoked, and they have to rally their team again. I think they did have the red zone offense figured out a little bit considering they got 2 stops there. Buffalo tried to play action and they cover the tackle and the second drive is the one with the two penalties in it. I think they instructed Josh not to run too much yesterday and it hurt when they got inside the five little bit. Offensively it's a testament to how good Allen is and how welll the team's coached. Buffalo seems really good at understanding when they need to pass and when they need to run and last night was one of those games where again table looked at the receiver room, looked at the defensive facts on the other side and decided that his guys were better than the other guys. Also, Allen got a superstar call last night on the roughing the passer penalty and that's probably the first time we've seen it.
  14. I don't care about the matchups. With the extra team in, there's no bye in play as it stands right now. If that were to change, go ahead and play for it. Right now, take it a week at a time and clinch the division. Get the home game against 5-6-7 and go from there. It's almost too bad that this isn't a conventional playoff year, because beating Pittsburgh next week would give Buffalo a head-to-head tiebreaker for the two seed and a playoff by would actually be on the table. Even this year, I would be much more inclined to play for the two seeds than the three seed because it means that Buffalo gets home field in the event that somebody gets Kansas City. Generally, the higher seed means less travel but with Kansas City and Pittsburgh on top of the conference, travel is not really going to be an issue as long as Buffalo wins the Division. Of course you would always rather play more home games. But it's too early to talk about that right now. The AFC is so competitive this year that the seven teams that are standing at the end are all probably going to be pretty good and they're all probably going to have 10 wins. I still really like the bills chances against any of five through seven. The way it looks, Buffalo is going to have to host one of Cleveland Indianapolis Miami Vegas or Baltimore.
  15. Anything in the air you fair catch. Dive on it and get outta here.
  16. Don't overreact to this drive. This is garbage time and this game hasn't been close for awhile.
  17. It'll be Singletary here. I'd even run a QB sneak to make room.
  18. So 2 stops from inside the 1 today. Man...
  19. Nah don't overreact to that. Go move the ball again
  20. That's fine. Force nothing and make Mullens throw. 5 scores in a row now.
  21. Yeah he blew the exchange there. Took his eye off it. I like Moss but can't have that today against this team.
