  1. I think the line will move toward Buffalo because teams tend to come down after in division upsets and the 49ers are very inconsistent this year. The game will also be at a neutral site instead of SF.
  2. We're going to see the same thing Tuesday with the Ravens who are on the bubble.
  3. This is the first time since opening day we've seen the fully operational Bills secondary and it showed. The defense largely hasn't been healthy this year and is getting there.
  4. So they like Buffalo by about a TD on a neutral field. Seems correct.
  5. Wow who is Trubisky throwing to there?
  6. I think good coaching is something you can see when you watch a team play consistently. Coaches also have to be judged in the context of team health, QB play and random variance. No one likes to look at random variance, though. Fans also tend to get spoiled looking for great and sometimes that causes teams to replace good coaches, like the Lions did with Caldwell and what the Cowboys did with Garrett. With Buffalo, you can tell it's well-coached. Contrast today with the Seattle game. In Seattle, Buffalo clearly saw on film that their receivers were better than Seattle's DBs and slung the ball. Today, they played a team with an excellent young QB and an aggressive d line, so on offense they decided that using misdirection to slow them down and set up a more traditional run game. Ultimately, they held Herbert to his lowest point total in 10 weeks and got 20 carries for 130 yards from the backs. Some bad variance made that game closer than we wanted and they'll do some ball security drills during the week, but they had the highest scoring margin against LA all season. In LA's case, they're the bad random variance team this year like Dallas was last year and probably improve if you give that another year, even though Lynn had a bad day at the office today. The development of Herbert into the best rookie QB earns him some keep IMO. BB, Flores and Joe Judge are doing good coaching jobs and ultimately are limited by where their QBs are. Another good coaching job is Chicago. Flores has a couple more wins than the others. I also think Nagy is doing okay too, but you can't hide bad QB play in the NFL today.
  7. I hate the rule for this reason.
  8. In fairness, he's making good points and Arians is doing terrible there.
  9. Singletary is the better of the 2 backs, but it's a good tandem considering the caveat that Buffalo doesn't want to invest a lot in the position group.
  10. I watch the Chargers pretty much weekly because of the TV market I'm in. They're waaaayyy better than their record would indicate. The Charger D is tremendous and kills everyone, especially early in games like today. Their line is so good that they can rush 4 and long developing plays don't work against them, which is why the Bills offensive line was overmatched in pass pro today. Buffalo's biggest strength tends to be those intermediate crossers against man, which don't work well against the teams with great d lines. I think there's a lot to like about the gameplan today, even though people are gonna B word about the turnovers. The one where Allen didn't fall on the snap was the one that bothered me because it's a miss on the fundamentals and he's again trying to do too much. We saw Buffalo become the first team to beat the Chargers by more than a score, and we definitely saw the coaching put together a defensive plan for Herbert that worked better than what anyone else has done so far. This was the best defensive performance for the team this year, the 2nd time the entire secondary was healthy, and it makes a difference. LA only got 3 points off their 3 turnovers today and scored 17. The gameplan on offense was a lot of misdirection in the first half to set up a more traditional run game in the second half and it works a lot better if certain guys don't fumble. It doesn't look as pretty, bit Buffalo broke the franchise record for consecutive games with 20 first downs and changes the offensive gameplan for each opponent.
  11. Bass can kick it through the back of the EZ.
  12. Playing for 3 there was correct after the nonsense there.
  13. The ref gave the pass tipped signal at the line. How in the world does that get a ruled a fumble?
  14. A lot of screens and draws to help the online should scale back LA's aggressiveness. Sprint out draw, perfectly executed screen and the double pass on one drive.
  15. Good execution of some misdirection there against the aggressive pass rush.
  16. The line isn't holding up right now against 4.
  17. Oh not much hahaha.
  18. Considering Hill is on the other side and how well their D operated against Tua I would take Denver plus the 17.
  19. Well I think Tampa shouldn't bring Arians back again also and I'm not sure Brady is so terrible there, bit I digress. Lions though just haven't hit on picks really.
  20. Good challenge. Close enough play there even if you don't win them. Crazy part of Patricia is how he's managed to be there so long with Stafford and not get results.
  21. He does since the penalty was declined and play stood as called. On edit the illegal forward pass is an incomplete statistically speaking. So he gets a reception and then an incomplete.
  22. I like that Brady gets a point for the reception in my PPR league. But man Arians doesn't match up against these elite coaches at all. I think so yes.
  23. Aaron Rodgers has one title because if you remove the outlier, that's the going rate for excellent QB play. It's hard to deliberately win titles without some luck in a one game playoff format with a hard salary cap. Teams are never one player away like that and if you can get a QB prospect you like when the starter is Rodgers age, you do it.
  24. That's exactly like the Rivers play yesterday. If the balls in his hand going forward it's incomplete. They got it right.
  25. That's probably an incomplete based on the replay.
