  1. 5-3 or 6-2 is the likely record over the last 8 unless they clinch the division sooner. The offense is slowly getting back on track the past 3 weeks. Right now Buffalo is squarely a good team that's missing elements, like everyone in the AFC not named Kansas City or Pittsburgh. I'm confident in wins against Chargers, Broncos, Dolphins and Pats. I'll also say Buffalo is going to beat San Francisco because they've shown an ability to contain these one-dimensional offenses and San Francisco is ridiculously erratic and inconsistent this year and it's a west coast to east coast trip. I'll say split between Arizona and Seattle, though I think both games are winnable. Probable loss is to Pittsburgh.
  2. He's trying to do way too much with no support here.
  3. I largely think that Tua isn't going to work in the NFL and it's better for the Dolphins if they find that out now. I'd submit that the current Miami win streak is largely the result of an unsustainable turnover rate. Miami has a good defense but they've gotten 8 takeaways in the last 3, with 3 coming against SF and 4 today. Any team that gets turnovers at that rate is going to look more impressive than they are, and while they're clicking now, when that regresses to the mean they're going to look bad again.
  4. The counterpoint here is that Buffalo has been a top three defense in the league for the past two years so there haven't been too many bad outings with him so you're completely wrong. I think the issues on defense largely stem from the line, which hasn't been good, but it's because of change going into the year with no TC or preseason. The only starter on the team this year on the line that was around last year is Hughes and they don't have a 1-tech. Injuries have also forced some of those newer guys in. This offseason, they prioritized the offense. The early draft capital was Diggs, AJ, Moss and Davis. Oh and they got Bass, who's the youngest kicker in the league and who's won 2 games for Buffalo so far. Next time around, they'll prioritize defense. Every acquisition on the offensive side of the ball except maybe Knox has contributed to some degree. The entire receiver room, Allen, Morse, Williams, Feliciano, and Ford are all Beane acquisitions as is the running backs.
  5. Largely the only issue people have here is with the 18 attempts. Josh stayed patient, the Bills attacked New England's weakness and the offense worked. Unfortunately Davis dropped a TD pass, also. The best thing I saw from Josh today were his audibles. The run play to Moss before the TD and the screen pass to John Brown were good examples of pre-snap recognition from Allen.
  6. The Bills identity this year is their offense. That's where the talent capital went and that's paying off. Today was largely back on track for them against a good defense and it was good to see the run game come out against a team dedicated to stopping the pass. On defense, Buffalo is largely a victim of not having TC and preseason to acclimate all the new defensive lineman, opt outs, free agent signings that aren't working, and some injuries. This largely isn't fixable in total this season, but we've seen Buffalo he able to defend what they want to defend and play well in spurts.
  7. That onside kick is something bad teams do. Largely I appreciate Buffalo sticking with the run today and hammering New England in a New England type game. Nobody has really shown the ability to pass on them this year and it was good to see Buffalo stick with what worked.
  8. Looks like an option route there. Allen clearly missed the read.
  9. They fooled him with the zone blitz there.
  10. The logic behind kicking on the earlier down is that on a bad snap you keep the ball.
  11. That penalty is 100 percent a good call.
  12. That whole sequence was terrible. 4 straight runs instead of giving your best player a shot?
  13. QB development is so important I'll take that trade, and honestly enough I really like moss on passing downs as a checkdown option and in pass pro. I think today they showed they can sub the short passing attack for it and make that work, but I'd like some investment into the shotgun running game.
  14. I don't know the rules enough to know about the illegal formation but it's sus that we didn't get a number and the announcers didn't see it either. The penalties today were on players that weren't planned starters and the sooner Buffalo gets Brown, Feliciano and Ford back, the better. This is a year with no preseason and TC, so teams that have major changes tend to have it rough. In Buffalo, this is a major reason the defensive line isn't good right and may be contributing to the run blocking woes, as well. I also wonder if a part of the running game is part of building the team for Allen to succeed. He's largely a shotgun passer, and really prefers empty sets. Honestly enough.
  15. I'd say the offense showed up today, but going 0 fer in the redzone was frustrating. Allen was able to stay efficient and take what was there, but Buffalo is missing the starting guards and Brown on offense. Largely Buffalo won this game because we saw things happen that don't usually happen. Namely, Allen took what he was given and the defense played exceptionally well. I think it provides the idea that there are more answers that questions.
  16. Minshew looks atrocious put there.
  17. Lmfao. I will continue to never understand these packages for backup QBs...
  18. Theist impressive part of today was the turn around from the first half to the second. The defense definitely got right today. Offensively, Josh stayed efficient, took what was given and controlled the game. I want a closer look at the penalty stats. My initial inclination is that it's rookies and backup guys getting whistled. I think the team definitely misses some of the regulars.
  19. That's a penalty I live with.
  20. It just isn't there. That's what teams are taking away. Buffalo has to do what they're doing in the 2nd half more consistently: take what's there and be efficient.
  21. I agree here. There just aren't big plays and the backups around Allen aren't as good as the starting players.
  22. Yeah I don't know. This is the ups and downs of going with a young player.
  23. Keep taking what's there. Like the 2nd half performance so far from Allen and the defense.
  24. Allen looks better in the 2nd half but this is a sloppy game around him.
