  1. Unfortunately the talk of KC being light years ahead of everyone looks true at the moment. It is a team that's lost 1 meaningful start in 14 months...
  2. Pretty much this. The offense has to finish some od these drives.
  3. The logic is that it's 3 points if you get the 2 and still one possession if you dont give up a TD. Assuming you get 50%, its basically a free possession.
  4. Yeah how are you calling single high with 8 seconds left? All of have to do is call prevent there.
  5. Well he signaled that he wasn't going to field it which he's allowed to do after last year so it's a touchback if that hit the end zone.
  6. I think the bigger picture of what we're seeing in general is an erosion of what was once considered the traditional pipeline for becoming an NFL head coach. It used to be that you only hired really good offensive or defensive coordinators. The hiring cycle is also moving so fast that nobody in a game this weekend got hired. Now it's those, special teams, college, and teams are really open to looking at other positions for guys who can lead and hiring young and energy more than ever and supplementing that with experiences coordinators. I compare it to baseball management, where the front offices and managers of teams are ivy league type guys.
  7. Well 3 first rounders doesn't seem like enough if Jamal Adams goes for 2 first rounders.
  8. I don't think it's particularly fair to question his dedication since there hasn't really ever been anything reported about that. The big picture of the Ravens is that they are going to invest in Jackson and that's the right decision. He's been in the league as a starter for 2.5 years and won 81 percent of the time going into yesterday's game. A stable organization isn't letting that go. They need tweaks more than overhaul. Lamar Jackson was an above average passer last year and was closer to average this year with the difference being that the downfield passing game wasn't as good. It correlates with the loss of tight ends and the lack of dynamic playmakers. Moving to Dobbins is a good start and they so need to find another receiver. Playing a FB at TE and Dez Bryant aren't going to cut it there.
  9. QBs that cant really move are starting to have it tough It's against the rules for defenses to draw offenses Offside. It seems like QBs that don't have athleticism are having a hard time. Brady and Brees really struggled when things are off-schedule.
  10. Brees tried to force that under pressure. Bad throw.
  11. So taking that sack is smarter than the incompletion. I assume Chiefs run and punt and Cleveland gets one drive.
  12. The independent neurologists would have to approve it. Obviously the protocols are good with 2 franchise QBs being pulled for concussions this week.
  13. People will complain if Mahomes gets in but they pulled Jackson yesterday.
  14. I bet there's a reason why that fumble rule is in place. Bad fundamentals for the Browns there though. Against the spangola d those screens are there, but 2 drops and a fumble. You just don't extend the ball like that. The yards are free but the possession is not.
  15. Bad fundamentals. You just can't put the ball at risk there if you're the receiver.
  16. Every deep ball overthrown. With Jackson out, run clock. Huntley isn't winning this game at this point.
  17. That was a really smart play by Roberts to try and run that back since it touched a Raven. The wind is messing up the deep game but hopefully we get a score here.
  18. The Packers are running it too much here. Put the game in Rodgers hands a little bit.
  19. I think Jason Garrett is the guy that the Chargers are going to end up with and I think he's a good hire for a team that probably needs an experienced coach. Smith has been offered the Atlanta job also.
  20. Urban Meyer has a really good history as a program builder and this is a pretty good choice, especially considering that college coaches transitioning to the NFL is a more viable idea than ever. Matt rule and Cliff Kingsbury are currently in the NFL, Pete Carroll is the obvious success story from college, Doug Marrone has had some NFL success too. On top of that it's quite the underrated job because you have a strong owner that's willing to spend money and give people time, the consensus best quarterback prospect in a while, and the next cap space where you don't have to take a year to completely tear everything down. I don't know if this will work, but I definitely think this is the right type of hire for Jacksonville.
  21. Matt rhule and Pete Carroll come to mind as college coaches that worked and to a lesser extent Doug Marrone got to an AFC Title Game. there's also kliff Kingsbury. With more college concepts coming into the NFL, there's reason to believe that the Urban Meyer hire can actually work. Meyer has a history of building programs, that's what Jacksonville needs to do, and there's a bare cupboard with no expectations and a really great quarterback prospect coming. I think Meijer is a good hire that makes sense and got one of the better jobs. Chicago having to announce that their coach in GM are coming back is normal for really big market teams. The Giants did the same thing when they announced that gettleman was going to come back. Maggie is one about 60% of his games and has two playoff appearances in the last 3 years with a quarterback who can't play.
