Thank you all so very much. It really means the world to me. I’ve been here since the BBMB closed. It’s the 1st site I visit in the morning and last at night. You guys are awesome. Thank you 😥 It’s ok. In this instance, accident led to a severe infection that she never was able to fight off. No one was expecting it. Just 42…. -
I’ve been dreading this Look At My Sister Please LA(MS)P post for a couple days but I feel I must. We lost a HUGE Bills fan last week, my little Sister, unexpectedly, right before the game last week. Her Kids, Her Family and the Buffalo Bills (in that order) were her life. As a proud member of the Bills Mafia, she made sure my kids were fully dressed in Bills gear from their 1st B-Day until their most recent one. She was the glue that kept our family together and now she’s up there watching us. While most fans associated the opening Hines KO return for a TD with Hamlin, for us we were all screaming her name (Rachel) with bittersweet tears in our eyes. The 2nd TD return was no less emotional. Love you Rachel and LFG BUFFALO 🖤 Just Added link to small fam fundraiser: https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-rachels-family-after-a-tragic-loss?utm_source=customer&utm_medium=copy_link_all&utm_campaign=p_cp+share-sheet

Bill Barnwell predicts Bills over the 49ers in SB LVII

Literally my 1st thought when I read that 😁 -
You have a lot of free time to worry about the nuances of moves at the bottom of the roster.

As every GDT can confirm, in every single game, there’s a portion of time where it looks like one side is literally unstoppable. Then they are stopped. Sometimes it takes them a quarter to get back in rhythm. They were at home against the golden boys, ready for playoff football and they were FIRED UP. They even wanted the ball 1st! We were in the middle of taking their best punch when DH went down. While of course it’s possible, I doubt the entire game would’ve had the same energy and 1-sided momentum as the 1st 1/2 of the 1st 1/4 (1st 1/8?? 😅)

The way my layman’s understanding goes, is that if it was a 1:1,000,000 bad luck hit, then the heart essentially stalled. Meaning it was good to go, freak accident, restart the “engine” and go along on your merry way. If there were multiple resuscitations, then that takes the freak hit off the list of probable causes. We need to look at his heart and see what kind of shape it’s in, if there is any scarring/swelling/etc and what may have caused it to understand WTF happened Monday. God unlimited prayers for Damar 🙏🙏🙏

Playoff Solutions Assuming they don’t replay the Bengals game.
DaggersEOD replied to Locomark's topic in The Stadium Wall
Oh I completely agree and hope you’re 100% correct. I’ll just say as a combat vet, losing a loved one is absolutely devastating. Watching a friend/teammate go down in the “field of battle” and seeing them getting “worked on” is a completely different trauma. I know it’s different for everyone, but that’s my experience. -
Playoff Solutions Assuming they don’t replay the Bengals game.
DaggersEOD replied to Locomark's topic in The Stadium Wall
I say forfeit this game AND next week, giving us our bye (technically two as we didn’t play an entire game last night) and take the long road to the SB. F seeding. F 1st round bye. But in reality, it may take that long just for the team to grieve and recover enough to want to play the game again. -
Buffalo News analysis of Tremaine Edmunds this season
DaggersEOD replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
It’s taken me a few years to get here but I’m on the “Sign TE” side now. My eyeball tells me that the Bills don’t GAF if you can run on them, because our O can outscore any run game. We schematically seem to sell out on the pass and essentially hope they “waste a down” by running. We get gashed by the run occasionally but we rarely get gashed through the air and TE is the key to that. I’ll admit, I don’t like the approach. VERY frustrating to watch us stay in Nickel as the opponent methodically marches down the field. The thing is, the opponent drive often stalls as it’s difficult to string that many positive plays in a row. I don’t think there are many (any?) other LBs in the NFL that ALLOWS us to run the D we currently run successfully. Like I said, this is all eyeball, but the games w/out TE really helped me see this perspective. -

My wife is from Nola, so I was on Bourbon St for the SB Watch / Win celebration. What an amazing blast of a time!! I’d MUCH rather take a trip to Buffalo to watch / celebrate with the real fans. I’m telling you. THAT is the place to be IMO. -
Yeah my assessment was all gut/recollection and your numbers shoot down my recollection of the Bears abandoning the run compared to us. That said, the Bears D still seemed a lot less nimble and our RBs seemed like they were able to take advantage. Like their cuts/cutbacks worked when usually it seems like they don’t.
-
I think the cold weather had a lot to do with our rushing performance. Both Ds seemed to be playing with concrete shoes. inexplicably, the Bears decided to stop running while we, fighting all team tendencies, kept at it and the score reflected those decisions. Again, just eyeball observations.

Continuing yards after catch (YAC) mystery
DaggersEOD replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall
Eyeball/gut answer is that JAs arm allows him to get balls through very tight windows leaving the ball carrier with little to no space to work with once they make the catch. It’s almost like all the YAC is sucked up in the “air yards” the ball travels. Im not a stats ninja but perhaps there’s a statistical relationship between air yards and YAC. Meaning more air yards tend to result in less YAC while less air yards tend to result in more YAC. It would be interesting to see where our pass catchers rank in “air yards/catch”. I guess what I’m saying is shorter routes equal more YAC and that’s not our game. -
I don’t know the answer to your question but these guys are likely doped up prior to the game and get some in-game “treatments” in the tents. Guys carried/limping into the tent, leave 5 min later “testing the knee” doing sprints on the sideline 😬 Im sure there is a cool off period after each game where the “adrenaline” wears off and they start assessing the damage they did that week.
