  1. if I was posting a crap list on a rival fans message board, I would at the very least put my own qb over theirs to cap it off.
  2. ya, I've noticed he's been pretty hot on McDermott for a bit now. I even knew before I clicked on this clip that he had been an Allen guy most of last year, but it still surprised me to see him rank Allen at #5
  3. I don’t get worked up about what most people in these positions say one way to the other. Just thought it was an interesting segment. Colin seems to be a BILLiever. I think Allen has a shot to move up this list by one or two slots over the course of the season. I’m skeptical that Big Ben just comes in and plays at a borderline probowl level. And watson doesn’t have his jump ball guy anymore. I would assume the heads of the fans from the other 3 AFC east teams would explode watching Allen go so high on this list. Haha.
  4. Dude go look at the other guys on the list surrounding Allen on that total td list. As a general rule it’s made up of real good qb’s at the top. Are you really arguing that total tds is an overrated stat? Seriously? Geez. you really will do anything it takes to discredit his solid sophomore campaign. I’m sure you’ve already stated in this thread(because you have all offseason) how easy the schedule was last year and how it was a flukey 10-6 to begin with. It’s sort of your thing. you and a handful of others consistently make it a point make sure the rest of us realize how truly unimpressive last year really was. Thanks so much for being the “realist” for us around here.
  5. Again..... if the Bills are the team we've all been talking them up to be, does this move really move the needle that far? Makes the road tougher for sure, but I STILL expect our team to win the division. This just doesn't sway the expectations of my team that much. IMO it takes the Pats from 5-7 wins to 9 or 10. They still havnt added any real firepower on offense. They still have the toughest schedule in the league as of now. And i'm sorry but i'm not expecting that defense to be nearly as dominant again after the lost of 3 prominent players in the front 7. Does anyone think they are gonna go ahead and score 7 non-offensive td's again in 2020? I personally just cant get too worked up over this signing. Still expecting buffalo to take the division because newton doesn't change how good I expect buffalo to be.
  6. If this Bills team is who most of us think they are this isn’t some earth shattering occurrence. Good fight for the East this year.
  7. Someone as smart as you apparently are should be able to understand that the dude I was responding to didn’t even bring up PFF. Nor did I. Maybe it hurts to read because you aren’t very good at it. .... good talk, bruh.
  8. this is something I've talked about quite a bit. their takes on him were so extreme that none of the people getting paid to talk about it can recant now. they don't wanna be THAT wrong on someone. so even through the improvements so far, and obviously more to come, we've already seen quite a few excuses built in as to why he's having any success at all. perfect example of this is the yahoo article posted to this forum a couple days ago. the theme of the whole thing was basically the bills have done so much for their roster that even josh allen couldn't screw it up..... its already building in excuses for his success if he, heaven forbid, ever has any.
  9. Only "huge hole" I see is the one residing in Lombardi's skull, where his brain should be located....
  10. I cant disagree. Every single reaction I saw from former players that are now analysts over the days that followed said it was a blown call and “common sense” isn’t in the rule book. Just for me personally. Seeing that missed block makes me sick to my stomach. More so than anything else from game.
  11. Watching Knox and Morse whiff on a game clinching block to spring Allen in OT will always infuriate me 100 times more than that botched call in the EZ
  12. I’m not being sensitive in the least. I’m not one bit worked up about it. It read to me like a backhanded article. “All he has to do is not screw it up”.... real positive talk there about the qb. Or how about “It has taken us some digging to get here but there is some hope Josh Allen can execute this newly designed offense with its wealth of skill-position talent into high gear. It will require the Bills to take yet another step to make Allen’s life easier.” .... so the bills literally need to cater everything to Allen. He’s obviously not capable of improving the guy is basically building in excuses later on down the line if Allen turns out to be any good. I think that’s pretty clear. Couldn’t just be that he improved. Gotta be the what the FO did for him and how they catered the offense. Even josh Allen couldn’t screw this one up, right? You can book this... IF Allen ever turns out to be a consistently good NFL qb the majority will build in numerous excuses as to what the team did for him as opposed to him just developing into a solid qb. That’s been the case up to this point through his improvement because people’s takes have been so strong on him, they can’t afford to be THAT wrong on a guy. there’s no sensitivity on my end there. That’s just how I’ve seen things play out. .... I also 100% agree that, at this point in his career, you can almost always predict how a drive is gonna go based on his first couple passes. I’m just of the opinion he doesn’t need coddled with it and as he becomes a better qb it won’t be the case anymore.
  13. own and operate a small town gym with 250-300+ members depending on the time of year. also work personally with 15-20 middle school through college level athletes.... the shutdown was not kind to the sole proprietor business(or any business for that matter). I finally got to unlock my doors 2 weeks ago.
  14. I subscribe. its like $40 a year. theres some interesting reads and it comes with the monthly magazine. cant really see a big downside there. but I also write it off on my taxes because I supply the magazine to my gym members ??
  15. Read this yesterday. There’s some solid points but it also just feels like one big well worded passive aggressive shot at Allen.
  16. White finished the year as their 19th ranked corner.... NO. FREAKING. WAY. how can anything ranking a player like him at 19th at his position be taken even remotely serious.
  17. I was referring to his saying we basically had a 5 game losing streak to end the season. Which means he was including our meaningless loss to the jets when we played our backups. It’s dumb to try and include that game in anything and really shows what sort of lame agenda the poster has always had.
  18. You WOULD count the bills playing their 2nd and 3rd stringers in a meaningless finale as part of an argument for a losing streak. That’s just so.... you.
  19. White was a first team all pro that led the league in INTS and swayed numerous games on his own. He’s absolutely a super star.... PFF says he’s the 19 best corner in the NFL. That’s beyond absurd. Not according to their grades
  20. 7th is definitely fair but my mind is blown on how we could have a universally top 3-5 ranked d and not have one single player ranked even above average. that’s just foolish IMO.
  21. they also won 3 in a row before the bills game and were 8-2 after a bad start.... but that doesn't really support what you are trying to do here, so I get it. they definitely got figured out by the end of the season but theres no debating they were playing well and one of the hottest teams in the league heading into that SNF game.
  22. Back in April a saw an article about how they were trying to train dogs to sniff out the virus and I joked with a friend that they should just plant 20 or 30 of them outside the stadium and let them sniff through ticket lines to weed out the infected. well I just saw results from the trial and their 8 dogs were more than 95% accurate in smelling it out. 4 of the 8 dogs were 100% accurate. So I stand by my idea!!! Release the hounds.... just kidding..... kinda.
  23. Living in Stiller country I can tell you what they were saying... for weeks leading up to that game “the duck” was THE GUY and there was no way the bills were gonna head into their stadium and beat them.... then it was “whatever. You beat our 3rd stringer”. They talked jive the whole lead up to the game knowing they had a built in cop out if he happened to get exposed like anyone with half a brain knew would happen vs the first good defense he played. owning a local gym I deal with a lot of traffic and A TON of trash talk through football season. So I had a pretty good pulse on how they were feeling heading into that game.
  24. heck, lets go a little further.... they were 8-2 coming off an 0-3 start. they were one of the hottest teams in the league for the prior 2 months. that being said, the duck hadn't played anything close to what the bills defense was gonna bring that week. but regardless it was a big game. they headed in a hostile Heinz field in primetime with playoffs implications for both squads and came out with the win.... I don't get why people are trying to throw shade at that win. nor do I understand why people are upset they trolled the stillers fight song. I absolutely love it. the bills came out of the break, in a hostile environment, after they played their 4th quarter rally cry and punched them in the mouth. the pittburgh qb wasn't on the field. he had nothing to do with the events that happened right after that song. it was just perfect. LOVED IT.
