21/22 and tt for no.4 makes a hell of a lot of sense and that's why they are going to pay tt the bonus. they will take mayfield.... considering the browns take darnold and the giants take rosen....which they would be insane not too. 22/22 plus tt makes a lot of sense for getting no. 5 if denver has their sights on allen or jackson. either way, no matter what...paying that 6 mil. bonus is going to get us a deal that would have cost additional picks or been impossible otherwise.

Who's your "plate of crow" in the draft?
billsredneck1 replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i would take him at 21 and not look back. he could be like flacco/manning combo. i'll take it. i would also take a second qb later. as to eating crow...nathan will be our starter until rookie is inserted. if not....fix me a plate. -
Frankly Speaking : Why Not Try Something New?
billsredneck1 replied to BadLandsMeanie's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
don't worry, when the bills, at 11-5 squeeze out the pats for the div. title, n.p. will be the P.O.Y. -
i would for sure be on board with this. i hope we can hit on a good talent(rudolph) without giving up the farm. trades for the top four are going to be extremely high priced. indy3, cle.4 and denver at 5 could really fleece another team for those spots.

bryce paup? i wouldn't trade up in the 1st for a lb. vita vea/ davenport...or vea/payne. imo i want 2 big nasties on that line....period...somehow, some way. that will make or break out next season. heck, we could win with nathan. if we get a good no. 2 rb and a couple of double team demanding killers on that line, we will be fine. we could sure use billy price and i hope we get him and maybe a fa rt. we can find lb later. i would keep preston and use lorax as a pass rushing de. as far as wr's go ..beyond clay and oleary, we have k.b, zay, thompson and maybe matttews. don't forget we could have hidden weapons like b. reilly and dupri. would like a speedster mid round or fa. good to go...

i would freak if this happened. i would be so happy!.....somehow i still have the subconscious feeling of whaley drafting and handling things that i'm expecting....subconsciously to be very disappointed and seriously p'o'd. i would just draft rudolph or white and start peterman. we don't need a fitz or josh. just hire a ken dorsey type of qb coach and roll with it. we need monsters on the dline and some oline help with a good no.2 back....that's it. i would have faith in nate's development to get us to 10-6 at least.

why would we keep tt and draft the same guy? i'm saying this because success depends on a cerebral, accurate ,proven passer not someone who can scramble if his 1st read isn't open. someone who has the smarts to audible. that's what we need.

NATHAN PETERMAN

i would be perfectly fine with him in the 1st. he won't make it to round 2. he's prototypical size 4 yr. starter great td to int. ratio improved every year we don't give up any picks! nfn....similar scouting report to aaron rogers...

i know this will get flamed and any one could come up with a million scenarios, and though i shudder at the thought of trading up, we have to have a franchise qb so.... i would trade 21, a 2nd , next year's 1st and tt to cleveland for the 4 spot and draft mayfield. this is assuming darnold and rosen are gone. tt would be a good bridge for them to at least be able to go .500 or better in their division...which should be their no. 1 goal. i would also consider this same deal and scenario with denver for no. 5 assuming cousins lands elsewhere. i can see denver looking to draft allen later in the 1st. my ideal situation would be foles or mc carron and have all our picks but....

Joe B's Ranking of the Top Five QBs for the Bills

i think it's gonna be rudolph and the bpa dt rd 1. hoping they sign a.j. i guess i have to deal with foles not leaving philly. -
Landry on the block, with the tag
billsredneck1 replied to BringBackOrton's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i was just going to suggest something along the lines of bring him in for a visit and then drop him off on chippawa to get his ass kicked after he gets herpes.....i guess i can't get that cheap shot out of my head.....he ended aw's career and his chance to provide for his family. he would be stupid to get off a plane in buffalo. -
Nick Foles is going nowhere...
billsredneck1 replied to LabattBlue's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
even into the regular season. After that, it looks like it could be a Garrapolo situation for Philly. Wentz is the QB, and the Eagles need to strike on a trade deal while Foles value is at its apex. i'm not trying to reply to all these posts, i'm not sure how it happened, but philly needs draft capitol and giving the no. 21 for foles, i don't think is a bad deal for them. they can draft high and sign a fa qb or parlay that into additional picks and take their chances. that would give us a sb winning qb that we wouldn't have to break the bank for as well as a guy whose a perfect fit for buffalo. it also allows us to address other needs without giving too much up. this would be my first choice vs. spending two 1sts to trade up for any of the rookies. foles/nate/ late round qb or c. kelly from the broncos would be fine by me. -
i agree with this. hopefully tt and /or glenn saves us next year's second, but again free agency with qbs could change the whole landscape and maybe even send baker down to 21. that to me would be a gift. i heard one talk on 950 today that some draft guru had baker as a mid to late round pick , but also had him as the no. 2 behind rosen. i'll take that all day long.
-
especially if they draft a qb and need a bridge or want a vet for a year. tt would be perfect in that case for cle. or denver. as far as the bills willing to give up both 1sts and then some to move up and take rosen, i think that is a smokescreen to get someone to jump and make baker slide. if he can't be had (baker) with a 1st and a player to get him, i think they feel good with taking rudolph and starting nate. nate has the skills to get us to 10-6 and letting mason sit, while in the mean time saving money from overpaying an over hyped vet. that extra few mil. can be spent retaining gaines or a good fa. when the musical chairs of free agent qbs stops, things may look a whole lot different and i expect they will.
