So realistically, who do you want at 9?
billsredneck1 replied to *******'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i'm sorry but i gotta go with josh allen possibly at 9. think about it, ....a great pass rusher with lorax to mentor and bring him in. i guess if little or williams are there, that's a big thing, but if they can really crush it with the lb corp, i can't hold it against them. -

2019 NFL Draft: Bills officially picking 9th

i can see the jags making a deal with chucky for carr. marrone knows he needs an established talent to compete in that division. he ain't got the time to develop a rookie. -

Rebuilding your offense from the inside out

wow....well really....merry christmas anyway..... -
i think there's gonna be a lot of reaching for wrs this draft. every one of the rookie qbs need weapons put around them and there are plenty of other teams lacking in that area. receiver will be the most sought after position. the free agent pool sucks. the premium on this spot in the draft is going to be very high. we need a obj type , another speed guy and a te. i can see us going into next year with jones / foster / mckenzie / thompson(maybe) and 2 rookies.

What's a common thread among recent Allen analyses?
billsredneck1 replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i'm amped for the process of the off season. if we get a solid line where josh gets 3-4 Mississippi along with one (hopefully 2) dynamic wrs, look out. -

i think this one's up to the coaching. i think they should go 4 wide + shady on the line. they can't cover everybody. let them run their ***** off trying to cover. let them use a defender as a spy who cares. let him throw 30+ times. take chances on early downs and don't get into 3rd and longs. i'm not gonna address everyone who has quoted me, but in regards to accuracy and percentage, keep in mind.... 50% of his passes are over 10 yds. 20% of his passes are over 20 yds. i believe over beyond that accounts for another 5-10% these are the lowest percentage of passes to complete, therefore....given the state of the oline and wrs, his comp. % should not be used as a measure as to whether or not he will be a good to great qb. i vote he will be great. -

the thing that worries me is that if shady plays (and he's gonna), that they feel obligated to feed him the ball....which means a lot of short gains on 1st and 2nd downs, followed by 3rd and long blitzes. ugggh......which also means allen running way too much. it would be a nightmare for him to get hurt now. edit: i love shady but it seems like when he is in the offense is predictable, ineffective, unimaginative and boring. expect to see a ton of 3 and outs and josh running for his life and playing hero ball. i hope i'm wrong. -
2018 QB Class Future Projections
billsredneck1 replied to corta765's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i'm not worried one bit about his %. i'd rather compare him to a cross between elway and kelly. elway / athleticism....kelly / competitive, leadership. anyway, once we get a good line and he gets more time in the pocket, i'm confident he will use it. when we have a good stable of wrs, that will also help. i see no reason why he won't easily go north of 60%. -
Matt Barkley on the sidelines

what happens if another team like tampa offers a good deal?....with a more likelihood to see a start at some point. i wouldn't count him as an autosign. that being said, they should bring in chad kelly for the off season and see how committed he is to restoring his career. could be a win/win if we lose matt and even if we draft one late..... although that garrett gilbert is intriguing.... -
I hope you guys get a Big W this week
billsredneck1 replied to Ice bowl 67's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
right...teams that can rush 4 against him are far and few between and have a great rotation. while we may be good, it ain't good enough against brady. i wanna see bush, neal and trumaine coming from every direction. white and wallace can hold their own. hyde and poyer will have to deal with gronk. hopefully murphy has a strong game. -
13 dropped balls all season?????
billsredneck1 replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i'm in the clay shoulda caught that camp. however, as to the bolded, i think we'll see great improvement in touch and accuracy next year. we are already seeing it a little more each week imo. also, once he gets better protection, he can go through his reads without having to jam the ball out at the last fraction of a second. being able to throw that fast gives him a unique advantage of being able to milk a play just a little, but when he gets the time and doesn't have to rush it he won't. plus the game is going to slow down for him. i'm excited. edit: one other factor going forward is getting wrs who get separation. i think a lot of times he needs that zip to fit tight windows and to negate the closing speed of the defender.
