  1. going forward this is the number one thing i'm looking for from josh. when he ran and crossed the los you could tell he had that split second blank and i think it was soley instinct. that play has a lot in terms helping him mature. i hope we see him keep his eyes up just a second longer to try to find these guys. this kind of situation makes a good measuring stick for the future. i hope to see him run less and throw more.
  2. i sure hope he learns how quick because that's a 3rd of the qb game. the need to move the chains makes it a must. i like that he doesn't do it on 3rd and longs, but when it's there for the taking, gotta do it. they are talking about this now on the radio. it was said that brady uses these a lot and basically it becomes an extension to the run game....short throws and yac. in miami during the 1st half, it seemed like on every series he had someone open at the top of the screen, or his right. either ivory or zay standing there doing jumping jacks. allen never seemed to even move his eyes in that direction, but a lot of the time it sure looked like easy 10+ yds. to be had. i was on the barkley train too. glad that i was wrong and now i'm excited to see him over the next4.....i'm also excited kb won't be out there.
  3. i believe at some point in the future you'll be able to include " how did the steelers fare going from big ben to rudolph?....stayed on top".
  4. hopefully this is turning around from being a sammy watkins thread...... i'm not sure why they let holmes go. i thought reilly was going to beat him out by improving his st game but it didn't happen. i guess mcd is sending out the message of "catch the damn ball!".
  5. he was a big dude. i think 6'8" was he still here when marrone took over? man my memory isn't too good today. btw, i thought the first thing marrone would do is build a great line.
  6. there's one helluva trivia question. off the top of i can't even remember who was there during the sb years. ballard/fina brown hull ritcher....? can't believe i can't remember being a 45 yr. fan. i used to complain about pears but since he was here, he hasn't been equaled.
  7. definitely scratching my head. i thought lewis was playing very well....? no, i think they are gonna sprinkle him in with murphy's spot on right end. that would make me happy.
  8. yep and i'm surprised that no one has pointed out the turnstile mills is. this play shows it perfectly....and it happens every. single. game....i think playing next to him has got to make that rg spot very difficult. rt is the absolute worst spot on this line and has been for quite a while now.
  9. i don't remember him playing guard, but he was the last half way decent rt we had and that ain't saying much. i agree and don't understand why they would even try sirles at rg. his experience is rt. started 10 games for the vikes i believe. don't get this at all. waste of time.
  10. i'm excited to get a look at mike love. i think he's gonna open some eyes.
  11. i think it could be practiced more. josh says just get to x yd. line. foster has a pre determined distance and spot. it should help train him not to turn around too soon. do this with a combination of routes...of course after mastering the fly route....or whatever you wanna call it. it should be practiced over and over.
  12. i'm going with no.2. i thought he was making progress in that area....ie td pass vs. jags, but must be a hard habit to break. i believe it can be fixed over time.
  13. i'm not giving up on him. he can be a monster across from hughes. however, if he ends the season still hobbled, then.......
  14. shaw i enjoy your stuff, but i think you're off on this. clay was concentrating on keeping his feet in the end zone and i guess that mighta been instinctive....but...given the time the ball was in the air, there's absolutely none...zero excuse for him not getting to the ball. he could have caught it standing and fell back into the endzone. to me clay has turned into kb part 2. i'm sorry, but i'd rather look for a gronk in the draft. whaley ended up grabbing his ankles for that deal and it needs to come to an end....not specifically bashing whaley cause i'm sure mcbeane learned a hard lesson as well.
  15. i grab gentry from the bears p.s.who should only take a week or two to gel with allen and bring back brandon reilly who, was an inch away from supplanting holmes by improving his special teams play.
  16. mike catalana just said on the news the amount of catches vs. the amount of targets, kb was dead last in the league for wrs. i think a new thread would be ok guessing who they will bring up/sign? im wondering if they bring gentry from the bears' p.s.
  17. before being eliminated from contention by clay, i was thinking trent would turn out be the monster in the playoffs for us ( key to possibly winning a playoff game) and help put this defense over the top. i think he has value, but if ya can't stay on the field...
  18. exactly what happened.....period....and stupid
  19. don't get me wrong...i've been praying for a vertical game since kelly to lofton, but i would like to see the kid (before the end of the year) work on his being a complete. qb.... and that means being able to torment opponents with the short game as well. i wanna see his eyes scan both sides of the field and take what's there. move the chains. am i the only one who saw a wide open guy on the top of the screen?. it seems like it was there on every down in the first half.....made me kinda wonder if he's deaf and not just blind on the right side. we try to run to that side to the point of stupidity, but he won't even look that way unless it's way down....and when we were going 3 and out?.... i love the kid but maybe it's time to open things up....from the pocket.
  20. the thing that was really getting under my skin about him though was that it seemed like every single play, he had someone wide open to his right. either ivory waving to him or zay jones doing jumping jacks. why does he not even glance that way? it looked to me that there were so many chunk plays for the taking with easy throws. i don't get it.
  21. for the life of me i cannot figure out why they keep feeding him the ball when he is having no success....with his running style vs. a stacked box. as almost every other week, i felt they should have used ivory and murphy much more. i care more about wins than i do shady chasing the hof. my list is similar i guess to most... kb clay ducasse anderson rayray mills maybe get a pick for shady
  22. this is what i can't understand at all. do they not practice going for it on 4th and short?....like getting to the line and running a play? a delay of game penalty should be a misdemeanor! watching that oline play yesterday, all i can think of is they are being coached by someone horribly incompetent. it's maddening. at this point in the season these penalties are inexcusable.....even for teller. sometimes i really have to wonder about daboll as well. all of these situations by this point should have been hammered out.
  23. i can't believe it! he had both hands on the ball and dropped it. what a loser! signed...kb
  24. yes i do but i was referring to the last 2 hairs on my head.......
  25. i was pulling my last 2 hairs out watching allen have someone wide open to his right and he couldn't/wouldn't turn his head. he left a lot on the field. the penalties were ludicrous and kb as well as clay at the end were their usual selves. this sucks.
