50 miles is nothing … 70% of Greenville, SC has no power. The scope of this storm is unbelievable.
-
Heading up to my office in Greenville today. We have power there, but most of the city, specifically residential areas are still without. My apartment I have up there has no power since 8 am Friday and the target date set by Duke Energy for residential areas of Greenville is this coming Friday. Nothing compared to WNC but still unbelievable destruction to the power grid of over 1 million people. Bon Secours Arena, which hosts concerts and NCAA Tournament games, is now the emergency shelter for those evacuating the Asheville area. They opened I-26 yesterday and are instructing those who need emergency services and shelter to head down (Greenville is about an hour south of Asheville at the base of the mountains).

Yea, it’s really just to point out how big it is if they rack up losses in this stretch, because their schedule is just so much easier than ours and a game like this would be one of those Dolphins steamrolls of a bad team. -

Bizarre game so far -
North Georgia, but towards Braselton east through Augusta. Asheville is legit San Francisco, but WNC all around it is red. Greenville is red.
-
Nah, we didn’t. A minor flood issue in one part of Buckhead. That’s it. And Buckhead is the only reddish part of Atlanta. Im in Buckhead right now. You’d never even know a storm came through. Storm hit South Georgia really hard, and swerved east of Atlanta, hitting Augusta and then piledriving through Greenville, SC and Asheville, NC.

I doubt Robinson has any chance, but if he pulls some miracle run to the Governship, it will be because of his initial reaction to Helene, compared to Stein’s.

If that’s what Keon did, and why he did it.. eh, I don’t hate it. Diggs took it to another level as a drag on the team, but we needed that fire at times. Keon showed flashes of a break out game while whoever was coming in for him, receiving or blocking, wasn’t doing anything.

I'd love for us to trade for Amari Cooper
SCBills replied to Trust The Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
Is it quirky to be traded because you didn’t get vaccinated? Thats a large part why Jones traded him. Seems in 2024, that shouldn’t be an issue for an NFL team. Given how affordable he is, it just depends what type of player he is right now. -
So far WR group looks like a dumpster fire

Diggs got locked down everytime we played KC in the Playoffs because they played defense like Baltimore did last night. I don’t want to hear about him. The only issue related to him is the dead cap that prevented us from getting someone that can actually help. -
Does Brady struggle to feature top TE's and WR?
SCBills replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
Rashee Rice runs a lot of routes in the same space as Kelce and people wondered what happened to Kelce through 3 games. Same thing here with Shakir and Kincaid. Not really understanding the vision, but willing to let it play out beyond a 3-1 start with one bad game. -
He’s a good player. Rousseau is a good player. Every team would love to have them and they’re top tier DL starters. What they are not though.. is game wreckers. We don’t have any of those. We don’t have a Chris Jones, Nick Bosa, Maxx Crosby, TJ Watt etc.. There aren’t many of them, but the questions we ask are the same questions Jets fans ask of Quinnen Williams or Bengals fans of Trey Hendrickson and the list goes on. It is what it is … and it’s a major reason why KC has Super Bowl rings. They have the game-wrecker on Defense to go with an elite QB play. The team that beat us last night doesn’t have that either. They just have more good healthy players than us right now on defense.

So far WR group looks like a dumpster fire
SCBills replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall
Great post. Chiefs can win ugly against good teams because they have an elite defense, an elite gamewrecker and an elite big game DC. We have a good defense that has neither a gamewrecker nor big game coordinator/coaching. The latter can be exposed by elite offenses .. like the ones we see in the Playoffs. And if they are.. Our offense needs to keep up when the game script flips. Last night looked a lot like last years KC playoff game, except we never had a chance after Brady spazzed. Josh red in the face, under constant pressure because the opposing defense can pin their ears back and without anyone around him able to step up (although, glimmer of hope in how Keon rebounded in the 2nd half). But they need more & I share your fear that if they don’t, Josh faces a do everything and still maybe lose ending to our season in the Div Round. -

That obviously wouldn’t be what we’d do. There are guys out there who either give us a deep ball threat or be a half year rental to help us as we develop Coleman and get out of our cap hell year, without much mortgaging of the future. -
Jets losing to the Broncos is a big deal because of games like last night. They don’t have to play Baltimore. We do. Neither does Miami. We can downplay Miami and NYJ all we want, but they have much easier schedules than us and Tua is coming back. Root for another Dolphins loss tonight while Tua is out, because they have the Pats next .. and then for a surprise good team in the Vikings to take down the Jets in London next week. We may very well be a good team.. and maybe by the end of the season, with some injury luck, we’re locked and loaded for a Super Bowl run. ..but last night probably took the wind out of the sails for anyone that thought we might be some juggernaut. We’re a good team with a tough schedule. And we just lost a game to a team that the Jets and Dolphins don’t have to play. Still on deck… Lions and Chiefs.

Baltimore did what they do please take a moment and understand this
SCBills replied to MikePJ76's topic in The Stadium Wall
And the Bills were poised to make a 21-3 halftime lead turn into a down to the wire game with Baltimore on the ropes if Brady doesn’t dial up the most absurd play call in years. It was 21-10, mid-way through the 3rd, and we were getting 4+ yards a play moving the ball from the 20 to midfield before that. Baltimore gets up on people, and then they struggle to find the kill shot. At 21-17 or even 21-13, that game doesn’t go the way it did. Luckily for them, our own OC turned the gun on ourselves and did it for them. -

This is where I am. “Bring on the Texans”. Does this team bounce back from the worst loss they’ve had in years? Did we find an answer in Keon Coleman to be a guy we can lean on if teams take away Shakir and we stay confused as to how to use Kincaid and Samuel? Is Damar Hamlin still starting when he has proven to be a below average starter and was utterly dominated by the Ravens - easily being the worst player we had on the field last night. We can’t just make guys healthy at LB/Slot, but we can make changes at Safety. -
Probably would help if we don’t run him into the side of the defense that the Ravens have overloaded, plus Hamilton down in the box. Our run looks are hilariously obvious at times. They drafted him though, because he a very good receiving back that fits into our offense that throws to the backs.

When anything and everything that can go wrong, does go wrong...
SCBills replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall
Doesnt seem Herculean to me. Im not in love with McDermott, but what Baltimore did, isn’t happening again for the second time in a season. Especially when, on paper, if we see them again, it could be with Milano, Bernard, Johnson and an experienced Bishop manning the spots held by Williams, Spector, Lewis and Hamlin that they targeted all game. Id also take my chances with Playoff Allen vs Playoff Lamar. -

SCBills replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall
If Rashee Rice is out for the year, on top of already losing Hollywood Brown (likely) for the year, it seems a given that the Chiefs will trade for a WR. Right now we effectively have Shakir and rookie Keon Coleman. Thats it. I don’t know what Samuel’s deal is, but he’s a complete non-factor out there so far and MVS/Hollins are depth WR’s. If Samuel can’t be anything for us (turf toe or whatever), we’re in pretty much the same position KC is in and it would be malpractice to not trade for a WR. -
I’m not even struggling with the loss. If we got blown out with no answer, I probably would be .. but out of half, we looked poise to get right back in the game. What I’m struggling with is the Brady playcall that lost us the game, mid 3Q, only down 11 and driving.. getting positive yardage every play. Im not sure one playcall has ever made me so annoyed in my life .. and it’s still not sitting right with me today.
