Fwiw, my only must resign right now is Rousseau. Shakir is really good.. he’s a slot with limited deep downfield ability. Bernard is really good.. he’s an undersized linebacker. Cook is really good.. he’s a running back. Benford is really good, but that’s the one position I trust us to figure out. What’s non-negotiable is building the offense and the DL.

They also almost guaranteed the Steelers have nothing to play for against the Bengals because the Ravens aren’t losing to the DTR led Browns.

I get why they handled it the way they did, but giving the Bengals an extra day as a potential 7 seed is pathetic.

If Bengals sneak in to play us in the Wild Card, they get an extra day of rest.

If any team could be fine with a pseudo double bye, it’s the Chiefs. They just played 3 games in 11 days, Mahomes is allegedly banged up, same with Jones and Kelce is 35. Im pretty sure they stated the whole goal of locking up the 1 was specifically to have multiple weeks of rest. They’ve played more football than anyone in recent years and most of the team is well seasoned on what goes into being ready for the playoffs.

Hope we’re holding back more of that for the Playoffs, because that was SWEET

Last few weeks of the NFL season have next to zero energy. They'll get ratings regardless, but the AFC as a conference just feels like preseason lately. This game feels like a formality. Round 1 of a golf tournament type excitement. Although I do expect the Chargers to somehow let the Pats make a game of this.

I get why Burrow is going to get frustrated at an organization that can’t/won’t do things his fellow elite QB’s orgs can/will do. However, if he’s going to get mad they won’t pay Higgins AND Chase, when Allen, Mahomes and Lamar don’t have anyone on the level of either of those two, is a bit much. Especially when he’s seen the Chiefs trade Tyreek and the Bills trade Diggs.

Allen had a bad game against CIN in the Playoffs. Agreed. He also outplayed Mahomes the year before and the year after, only to be let down by Defense and Coaching. Both games would have sent him to AFC Championship Games, which you decided are to be used as a measuring stick.

I have seen people, myself included, say Allen would have similar success with Reid. Maybe you disagree with that. Regarding the racism aspect. His biggest detractors on ESPN have all made comments in the past about rooting for Lamar due to his blackness. (Mahomes is too light skinned for them) and folks like Dominique Foxworth have specifically talked about not being able to root for JA due to other reasons we don’t need to get into.
