9/23/24 GAMEDAY Bills vs Jaguars MNF PREGAME THREAD
SCBills replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
It was kind of bizarre to hear Joe B get so into this on his podcast.. Someone asked about taking the Jags deep and he talked about our lack of deep threats and how MVS might not even be active after getting only a few snaps against the Dolphins. I dont know.. some of his takes this year are overly critical and honestly, don't seem that informed. Obviously we're not going to run MVS out there and take down the field shots in a game that was over by halftime. He had a decent chunk play against AZ and should have had a TD if Allen hit him deep. -
Haha, ok.. I hope Kamala spends plenty of time in Florida over the next 40+ days. Go for it.
-
Ahh yes.. we’re the weird ones, meanwhile we have low testosterone middle aged dudes talking about “creating spaces” for white men. ….which we all know is how white men speak to each other.

This isn’t too far off from MAGA chuds looking at rallies in Huntington Beach and Long Island thinking Trump is going to win California and New York. She has a chance in Georgia & NC.. NC seeming the more likely due to Trump being anchored by the idiot he made sure was nominated to run for Governor, but stop it with Florida. You’d have to get an earth shattering number of independents to swing towards Harris given the massive GOP voter affiliation difference in the state now.

Greg Olson has just about had it with Jalen Hurts.

What are these games!? Nothing makes any sense. QB’s spazzing all over the place. 1 pm NFL is drunk.
-
Of course they play the Chiefs next… of course.

Carolina is an interesting one, but would the NFL be willing for forego an East coast team from Atlanta to DC? No team in SC, NC or VA? Seems like population-wise, they need to have a presence there.

Nebraska - Is an electoral change possible?
SCBills replied to SCBills's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Big difference between rank and file GOP and Trump .. which, ironically, is why so many love Trump. For the record, I could care less at this point. Yall removed your candidate because he was going to lose and replaced him with someone who received zero votes. I hope the GOP does go through with this in Nebraska, and I hope Youngkin and Kemp instituting voter roll purges and new election law delivers the election for Trump. If any of this is the deciding factor, I will come back to this board and laugh in yalls faces. You opened this Pandoras Box and I hope the GOP now obliterates it. -
Nebraska - Is an electoral change possible?

Going to have to fill me in because things are going pretty well in Georgia and Kemp has one of the highest approval ratings in the country, so whatever you’re referring to clearly isn’t too crazy. -

You have nothing to worry about. Republicans are weak and, unlike Dems, refuse to gain/keep power by any means necessary. Closest they’ve ever gotten to Dem strategy is McConnell with the Supreme Court. No one else has the guts to play for keeps like Democrats do. I give this a .01% chance of happening. Only reason I give it any chance at all is because Lindsey Graham flew to Nebraska to meet with their GOP about this, so there is, at least, an attempt, to think about it. -
We must protect democracy! ….as they proceed to give us a President we didn’t elect and a candidate no one voted for.

3/17 games is a pretty big deal, especially when you look at who we play in those 3 games, compared to who they play. I don’t know yet if the Jets can beat a Baltimore, Kansas City or Detroit. I do think they can beat up the Broncos, Vikings and Steelers.

MAGA Chaos in North Carolina
SCBills replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
MAGA is the most insane double edged sword I’ve ever seen. Destructive for the GOP in the Sun Belt, but turning the “Blue Wall” purple. -
I’m guessing the Dem/Celeb stuff is for fundraising, because this stuff doesn’t move the needle for the public and increasingly alienates independents who are sick of being told who to vote for by Bryan Cranston. Whats preventing Kamala Harris from just having that town hall with only regular people? You want Oprah to host it, fine.. but the Dem reliance on celebrities is solely due to the fact they need their money, because no focus group is telling them that the American public wants more Billie Eillish in their politics.

2024 Elections - House - Senate - States
SCBills replied to B-Man's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I spend half my week in South Carolina. Graham had very similar negatives to Cruz. He’s far less popular in the state than Tim Scott and this was around the time of the Lincoln Project ascending, where they came into the state and ran ads nonstop posing as Republicans against Graham. Also, Harrison was far better funded & backed than Allred, who has been begging the DNC to help him .. indicating they, themselves, don’t view it as a winnable race. -

This time a few years ago, polling came out in South Carolina that had Jaime Harrison tied with Lindsey Graham. Lindsey Graham won in a landslide. Cruz/Allred feels similar. -
Seems to be some momentum on this.. enough to make Chris Hayes all worked up. Not gonna lie .. after Dems changed voting laws last minute in multiple states right before the 2020 election, this would be the funniest thing the GOP could do.

You’re seeing why the Patriots can’t put Maye out there.. They have a historically bad OL.
-
NFL really nailed it for Amazon by giving them divisional games.
-
Pats look like they can compete with the Panthers for worst team in the league. Biggest takeaway from tonight is that Rodgers is actually mobile. Not sure how he went from looking like my grandpa out there last week, to this, but he’s clearly back.
-
Patriots seem to be suprised that blitzes are legal.
-
How did NE win a game? This team looks like a JV squad.
-
Easily rooting for the Pats. If they have staying power, it’s of the Steelers kind. Not a threat, but just annoying. If the Jets can stay healthy, they can actually be a threat. (Although Rodgers needs to show more than he has through two games)
