Fake Jordan Schultz account got the people fired up! The comments 😂😂
-
I’d love him back as a WR3/4 type but I don’t think it’s likely. 1) It likely signals were carrying six WR’s and I think the Bills would rather carry five. 2) He’s be in direct competition with Keon Coleman. Beane’s comments on Palmer seem to clearly indicate that they are high on him and view him as a primary boundary receiver. And I think the Bills are heavily invested in doing everything possible to makes sure Coleman works out. 3) Moore provides a trait we need in the currently constructed WR room. Davis does not. 4) Samuel’s contract is tough and he did look good when healthy down the stretch. I doubt they pull the plug on him this year. 5) Plenty of easier roads to WR3 elsewhere in the league. Unless the bottom just falls out on his market and nobody views him as a legitimate WR outside of random explosion games with the MVP of the league as his QB.

How would yall rate the significance of an extension amongst these key guys coming up for deals/potential deals next year? McGovern Torrence Cook Bosa Because those seem to be the guys we’ll be having convos over if McGovern isn’t extended before the season.. and that’s how I’d rank them, unless Bosa has a great year, and then I’d be tempted to move him ahead of Cook as well.

This is literally every voting group. Poor white people vote for politicians that speak to and/or push policy that helps them. Poor black people do the same thing. Wtf do you think they are voting for when they support Democrats at a 90% clip? I love how libs get upset when white people vote for their own interests. Everyone does this.

Shakir Palmer Kincaid Coleman Moore Samuel Knox This is actually a tough exercise. We have a middle of the pack receiving room, but that suddenly changes if any combination of the following occur: -Palmer is the guy Beane thinks he is -Kincaid makes a jump -Coleman makes a jump -Samuel stays healthy -Moore finds early chemistry with Allen Don’t think we have a WR1 but if all goes according to plan, good luck stopping a laundry list of WR2/3’s with a strong running game.

TJ Watt Speculation after Pickens trade (Nothing Official)
SCBills replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think it does, just not sure if they have the stomach for it. This draft was trash at QB, but early indications are that next year could be the opposite. Build up draft capital, finally accept a losing season and then your QB of the future that comes into a situation with a WR1 already in the building. That team is getting old in alot of places and, at some point, you can’t just keep running it back with QB retreads and compete for a Wild Card and inevitable beatdown at the hands of the Bills, Chiefs or Ravens in the Playoffs. -
Lots of speculation coming from Steelers land about the future of TJ Watt, given the Pickens trade. I can’t imagine Rodgers would be thrilled going there at this point, and if they don’t get him, (not saying he solves anything anyway) what exactly are they doing right now? Would be ironic for an impact DE to come available and it’s not Crosby, Garrett or Hendrickson. And it happens after we go hard on DL in the Draft. I think I’d stay away from this hypothetical though. Not sure how long Watt has left as an elite rusher, he’ll want a new contract and we just invested so heavily on the DL that I don’t even know what that looks like? Epenesa and a pick(s) for Watt + a massive contract for a guy with a potentially limited shelf life? Eh.

NFL is amazing… Draft over, not much going on but some rookie mini-camps coming up. Yawn BAM Pickens traded. Gabe Davis released. Social media now obsessively talking about football.

100% Bring Gabe back if it makes sense. Hes not a WR2, which is what Buffalo and Jax wanted him to be. He is an elite blocker and good big body deep threat who would be our WR4/5. Palmer, Coleman and Shakir is the core, and after that we have oft-injured Samuel and newly signed Moore. Bring back Gabe and tell Moore that we carry 6 WR’s as long as he’s our punt returner. If Samuel manages to stay healthy all year, good problem to have. If not, we still have a solid WR room.
-
I’d take our WR room over this.

Would Alberta be a red state? Dems are in a tough spot come 2030 with reapportionment as is.. why would they let this happen?

What Does "Due Process" Mean?
SCBills replied to The Frankish Reich's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
We should all feel uncomfortable with the governments ability to just pick someone up with lack of due process to be sent to a foreign prison. It was bad under Bush and it’s bad now. With that out of the way.. The “Maryland Man” is very likely, at least, affiliated with MS-13. He should not be here. He should’ve been deported. Remove the prison part of the equation. It’s a tough rope to walk for Dems though, because Americans support Trump +19 in polling on immigration. Thats unheard of support for a major issue in our divided times. Dems went so far under Biden that over-correction will be painful.. and thus far, Americans wildly approve. Arguing, and visiting, carrying on over a likely gang member illegal immigrant is insanely bad optics… hence Jeffries telling them to knock it off. -
Leftists are wild… No sympathy for unborn babies or Chinese/African slave labor, yet all the sympathy in the world for illegal migrants straining our own welfare systems, hospitals, schools along with increasing violent crime & drug overdose death.

Again.. I’m on the fence with the whole tariff thing, but this type of response in China feels like it should be reported on by more than just a few outlets. Its in all of our best interests for China to be forced to bend the knee, regardless of how you feel about Trump.
-
Pretty sure I said I don’t care for that. All this lecturing on deep thought yet can’t even read my second paragraph.

I have no opinion either way currently on the trade war situation, but I have to give him credit for taking the risk. The fact he still polls better than Democrats and, according to some polls, is still above water at +2 while taking on the most aggressive tariff/trade policy we’ve seen in modern history at massive risk to how his second term is viewed takes some guts. We all know we have to face off with China at some point, but nobody wants to be the one to do it, because we have elections every 2 years and Xi can ride it out.. As far as the sweeping tariff policy, more broadly, again.. we have elections every two years.. he knows he has to get movement on this before the ramp up to the midterms. If any President wants to make real change, they better do it in their first year.. a blessing and curse to our electoral process.

I find a Catholic President being overtly pro-abortion and pro-trans for minors to be far more offensive than a meme President … posting a meme, but that’s just me. Tbh, I’d rather he not do this stuff. Just like the constant trolling of Canada as a 51st state. I have no idea why he feels the need to have all these sideshows going on. As far as posters in this thread talking about division and lack of empathy under Trump.. Sorry, this isn’t fantasy land and you can either have a country with no borders, more violence, drug death and strained government programs, hospital systems and societal safety nets OR a grown up who actually wants to protect Americans at the risk of offending your utopian delusions. This is why, despite his over the top gamble on trade wars and constant troll/meme activity, Trump still polls ahead of any major Democrat leader or Congressional authority. My suggestion would be to focus on actually putting forth policy provisions that don’t divide us based on race or sex because of the Democrat Party’s consistent hyper-focus on identity, stop opposing everything for the sake of opposition (Jeffries was right to tell Congressional leaders to stop going to El Salvador to meet with a man most certainly associated with MS-13) and maybe, just maybe, try to not get sidetracked for days on end by a meme.

Elijah Moore Visiting the Bills today (Update: Signed!)
SCBills replied to bills742's topic in The Stadium Wall
Why do so many people have to think of him as a cut candidate or the next best thing? He’s probably neither. He’s what this team needs… a WR4/5 with speed & likely WR3 upside to round out the room and serve as insurance for a grouo that, before this signing, was 4 deep, dependent on a guy at WR4 who has a history of injuries. And we can compare him to MVS (I guess.. Moore has a higher upside), but MVS did fine after we let him go. Not a world beater but seemed to be doing things we could’ve used. In 8 games for NO, he had 17 catches for 385 yards and 4 TD’s. -
Defensive line after Camp, then after suspended players return?
SCBills replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
This DL is so tricky given the suspensions. I feel like if we’re going to cut Jones, it will come this Summer so we can free up his money to use before the season. But they already want to slow play Walker due to his back injury recovery. We have no idea if Dewayne Carter is worthy of playing time at 1T. Ogubjobi will probably be a 1T/3T hybrid guy when he comes back week 7. So who are our starting 1T’s if we cut Jones? Walker, who’s coming off a back injury and Carter making the switch to 1T? Could always sign/trade of a true 1T as well. Same dilemma with AJ. We don’t want to run Bosa into the ground. Jackson & Rousseau could probably start for us as a strong run defense pair of DE’s. But what do we think of Solomon? Is he worthy of DE4 until Hoecht comes back? Also better hope there’s no injuries if we cut/trade AJ before Week 7. -
Elijah Moore Visiting the Bills today (Update: Signed!)
SCBills replied to bills742's topic in The Stadium Wall
Elijah Moore, Gabe Davis.. give me that type of WR and I think a lot of us who complain about WR are happy. We have an elite QB, elite OL, above average RB’s, likely an above average pair of TE’s once Kincaid gets right. Josh Palmer is an upgrade over what Amari Cooper now is. Just need another WR3/4 type guy as a hedge against Coleman not making a jump and Samuel staying injured on & off all year. -
Linebacker and Safety are weaker than Wide Receiver, imo.. but when you factor in the importance of WR, compared to LB/S, it makes it a more interesting conversation and those 3 are clearly the spots well all keep our eyes on. Every other position group is proven high level or heavily invested in recent offseasons. Personally, I don’t care much about Joe Andreeson’s story if he has to be counted on, and with Bernard undersized and constantly banged up, Milano older and constantly banged up, that leaves Williams as an important depth piece and then a bunch of “who knows” Safety is wait and see. If Cole Bishop makes a jump, I’m not concerned about him and Rapp at all, outside injury.. in which case I hope Forrest or Hancock are something because Hamlin ain’t it.

I think having “some” money was part of it. The other part was being loaded with draft capital for a team who made the playoffs. I agree, we all thought coming out of a reset would mean an actual big fish or two, but that wasn’t meant to be given the Crosby/Garrett situations. The draft capital is the bigger part. Getting that two from the Diggs trade essentially got us two guys we probably liked at 30, plus Landon Jackson. A lot of Day 3 picks allowing us to trade up for Walker and then take depth pieces for the secondary. It does honestly feel like a revamp. Yea, the offense feels familiar, because it is, but the only place we really even wanted to upgrade was at 1 WR spot. Everywhere else is elite (QB/OL) above average (RB) or betting on development (WR/TE). The Defense could end up having a new depth safety, new depth nickel, new starting corner, two new depth corners, and the addition Joey Bosa, Larry Ogunjobi, Michael Hoecht, Pick 41, Pick 72 and Pick 109 to a DL that lost no one of concern.
-
Thought Jeremy White handled it really well. It’s not his place to fight with the GM. He respectfully defended his commentary and carried on with the conversation. Beane might be the 3rd best GM in the NFL.. problem is, the two guys ahead of him keep winning Super Bowls. This year will go a long way in either closing that gap or potentially exposing him as someone who might actually waste Josh Allen. I think he knows this is a big year.. Hes betting on his defensive overhaul and recent high draft picks in Cole Bishop, Keon Coleman and Dalton Kincaid. He's betting on extending in-house guys he believes in. He’s betting on recent FA signings in Curtis Samuel, Joey Bosa, Michael Hoecht and Larry Ogunjobi. There could be alot of foundational pieces for Allen’s second window or we could continue to chase the white whale.
