  1. He must have some pulse given his unprecedented fundraising ability. Both small and large donors believe in him, which says something any way you slice it. He’s also expected to have one of, if not the, largest on-the-ground organized get out the vote operation in modern history. He does need to work on being less robotic at times, but he has it in him..
  2. It’s all very online stuff, but if anyone knows who Christina Pushaw is … I guess they were waiting until DeSantis made it official .. she ratio’ing Trump influencer accounts nonstop.
  3. Seeing clips of DeSantis from various appearances today.. VERY different approach. Going directly at Trump. In every line of attack, he compliments the DJT the base fell in love with on a topic, but points out how Trump’s no longer that guy. Then goes further by saying that he’ll finish what Trump said he would.
  4. So… do we have to change our name too?
  5. -Below the national average in violent crime. -Well below the national average in property crime. -Only one city in the Top 25 of homicide rates … that is Jacksonville at 23. What would you call that?
  6. You sound like someone that has never been to Florida. It’s one of the largest states in the country, yet also one of the safest. 2022 Florida crime rates “Violent crime held steady year over year at 3.8 incidents per 1,000 people, putting Florida below the national violent crime rate of 4.0 per 1,000. But the Sunshine State did one better when it comes to property crime—reporting 17.7 incidents per 1,000 versus 19.6 nationwide.” https://www.thecentersquare.com/florida/article_9f88a892-bc5a-11ed-932d-6f0daa825750.amp.html
  7. Agree with some of this, but he has been all action on Covid.. and to the extent he wasn’t, he’s actually showed remorse. I read somewhere that RDS needs to better story-tell his policies. People are very easily transported back to the pandemic times, where we look back and realize how wrong and messed up so many policies were .. he needs to take people back to that time, where he was one of the true heroes of many across political lines. Im torn on the Disney stuff. I personally like it. Does it resonate? I don’t know. For all the attacks on RDS from Trump and the Left, it’s Disney losing money and subscribers at record pace. However, he likely has better culture wars to spotlight .. ie gender ideology in schools, which polls very well in the suburbs where he should clean up against Trump. Im just honestly not sure how wins over the white working class in the primary. That’s a massive part of Trumps unbreakable 25-30% base. They seem to be emotionally attached to Trump and I’m not sure how RDS can break that bond.
  8. Yes.. that’s been the pattern, pre-DeSantis. I’m from Long Island. I know all about the retiree NY - FL pipeline. That’s not what’s happening now. Families are uprooting and moving to Florida at a massive rate. High wealth individuals are leaving NYC for Miami, Tampa etc. Young professionals and business owners are relocating to Florida given NY’s pandemic response and subsequent consequences.
  9. I actually agree. He has to go at Trump, by name, aggressively. Worry about winning back his supporters after the primary.
  10. No, I don't. I think McDermott is a middle of the pack coach as of today, where we sit, on May 25th 2023. He did an amazing job with the Tyrod Taylor team in breaking the drought. He's an incredible person and a top tier culture building coach. He's plateaued however, and - imo - has backslid a bit. He has had multiple years of a top 10 talent team, with a top 3 QB. He's the only coach of those 3 QB's that hasn't gotten to a Super Bowl. As we all know, that's the rub right now.. I do hope he overcomes it, because I think he represents us so well. However, I can't lie... when I look at that list, I truly think I'd rather have someone like McDaniel (with Fangio) over McDermott right now. I hope McDermott changes my mind this year.
  11. Communist is when consumer boycotts.
  12. DeSantis is not going to get any favorable coverage from MSM. He’s made the calculus to spite them. Right or wrong, he believes in new media and only throws MSM scraps. They will make him pay for that. Leftist media desperately wants Trump for ratings and the more beatable candidate for Biden. Rightwing old guard media, Fox specifically, did not take kindly to DeSantis announcing on Twitter over traditional media.
  13. So what is your explanation for so many northerners moving to Florida and so many Californians leaving Cali for Arizona, Texas, Montana and Idaho? Both beautiful states in terms of geography and weather. In fact Cali beats anyone with the ocean & mountains along with more moderate temps and lesser humidity. The state has every resource necessary to be THE cornerstone state of America, yet people are leaving in droves.
  14. Can’t deny any longer that the conservative boycott has real power to make news. Bud Light STILL reeling and Target has lost an estimated $9B in the past week. That being said. They don’t care. They quite literally hate you. They don’t think the boycotts will last and they would rather get the DEI/ESG bump for their banking overlords in Vanguard and BlackRock.
  15. I don't know if it's fair or not fair, but the fact is McDermott has Josh Allen. If this list is weighted for the QB you have... I can't argue a ton. Staley has Herbert, a level below Allen. (McDemott is a better coach than Staley though) Smith has nobody. McConnell has Cousins. McDaniel had Tua or backups Most agree that Mahomes, Allen and Burrow are the 3 best QB's in the league. Which one hasn't made the Super Bowl? Do we put that more on Allen or McDermott? I know which way I lean, and that is why I can't argue a ton with this ranking. This is a MASSIVE year for McDermott. He is an elite culture building coach, which counts for a lot, but he has yet to show he can take the next step. Others with elite QB's have.
  16. DeSantis has a ton of money and is incredibly disciplined & organized. He also takes chances. Sometimes it pays off… sometimes you run the risk of a mixed bag with the Twitter launch. All that being said … they are investing HEAVY in grassroots, never before seen levels of organization on the ground, in the early primary states. That’s what it will come down to, imo. And I think think this is their calculation also. Make Trump look vulnerable. If they can win Iowa and win one of SC or NH, Trump won’t look inevitable and people may start to flip in other primaries.
  17. The California vs Florida debate, to me, is the most accurate. You will always have northeast/midwest folks that want to move south due to the weather. It just so happens that the northeast/midwest (outside Ohio) tend to be lean blue or deep blue. The southern states all tend to be lean red or deep red. However, California is a different story. It is the most beautiful state in this country, with amazing weather. Yet people are fleeing. And under Ron DeSantis, even with heavy influx states like Texas, Tennessee, Georgia and The Carolinas, Florida leads the way in population growth.
  18. Well, well, well, how the diversity turntables…
  19. WE DEMAND YOU COMMENT ON HYPOTHETICAL SITUATIONS Also, and I’m not saying I necessarily agree with them, but you do know they aren’t actually discussing going to large scale war with Mexico, correct?
  20. You are literally the crying face behind the laughing mask meme.
