Hopkins released by Arizona (7/16: signed by Titans)
SCBills replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
Best case scenario, aside for us getting im on a team friendly deal. Jags looked to have a cakewalk to the division and no reason they can’t compete for the 1 seed. At least now there’s a team with any level of ability in the AFC South that they have to face x2. -
Pence did the right thing. I’ll still applaud Tucker for exposing neocons.

The one argument that frustrates me beyond belief is the thought that KC could use him, but the Bills should have enough. The Chiefs have Kelce, a top 5 OL, paid for a Gabe Davis level WR and have a recent RD1, RD2 & RD2 WR they’ve invested in. Bills are coming off a year with a bottom 10 OL, have Diggs, Davis, Knox, a recent RD1 TE & a mid-level FA WR and then some lottery tickets. In my view, they are similar talent level offenses that have a good bit of potential left to be realized, but are very clearly behind the Bengals in terms of proven weapons. -
Whose lives has been improved by BLM winning?
SCBills replied to Orlando Buffalo's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Agreed. Every Republican should study Brian Kemp in Georgia. He didn’t come close to winning the black vote against Stacey Abrams, but he won a sizable enough portion of black men that he has become a powerhouse Governor in the state. -

Democrats/Leftists do nothing to help black people. They treat them as property, use their identity as claim and advocate/provide just enough to keep them dependent. That being said.. They are visible in their communities, entrenched in their cultural centers and speak to them as if they care. For the most part, Republicans do not. If you were black, who would you vote for given those conditions? Democrats do nothing to help them.. Leftist organizations do nothing but exploit them.. But Republicans need to give them a reason to cross the aisle. -
The American Media Should Not Be Trusted
SCBills replied to SCBills's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Business Insider lied about DeSantis. Had to correct their lie. Then 3 days after the correction, WaPo again runs with the original lie. Enemy. Of. The. People. -
The clips from that Tucker event are absolute gold. Im pretty sure Asa Hutchinson and Mike Pence must have a humiliation kink to be willing to expose themselves to that.

DeSantis For President in 2024?
SCBills replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
A lot of RDS supporters were nervous after Tucker went scorched earth on Pence & Hutchinson, but he was fair and DeSantis really found his voice in that open forum today. -
Good Breakdown on Bills, KC, and Cinci moving forward
SCBills replied to newcam2012's topic in The Stadium Wall
IMO, only KC is better positioned than us moving forward. Everyone else has their issues. Jets with an aging Rodgers. Fins with huge cap hits and an upcoming Tua contract as their best case scenario. Bengals with Burrow, Chase, Higgins and a bunch of above average players coming up. Chiefs took their medicine on the Tyreek trade and let a bunch of defensive guys walk. Hit on draft picks and are currently well positioned. -

Does Hopkins make that catch? (yes) Does Hopkins make the catch and/or draw DPI on Sauce and maybe we’re playing Jacksonville instead of Cinci? (yes) Im not saying we should go all in on Hop, but these are likely assumptions. -
Going to have to say that this is pretty accurate. We’ve seen what Chris Jones does for that KC defense. Quinnen was out of our reach, but we had our chance to get that type of player and missed. We didn’t strike out.. but (thus far) we hit a double, when home runs were on the table.

Jets and Quinnen Williams agree on 4-year 96 million deal
SCBills replied to Gregg's topic in The Stadium Wall
The level of eyeroll I experienced reading this... -
To be clear, as the person who started this thread.. it's poor judgment and emblematic of the character concerns surrounding him that led me to believe we would never go after him. I don't believe he should be suspended or anything. Chiefs take chances on these guys. We don't. And comparing him to Von's past allegations involving a relationship is obnoxious. People make mistakes and make bad decisions in life, but in regards to what a clean cut football organization that desires "football character" looks for... Von exemplifies it.

SCBills replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
Cue Joe Marino telling you about draft pick allocation. … which is a somewhat fair argument, if one also discloses spending. ….and the fact the Chiefs recently hit home runs on 2/5ths of their OL playing on rookie contracts, while spending on the other 3 spots, having Kelce in the fold, then drafting WR’s early in multiple years and trading for a former RD1 WR with multiple years left on his rookie deal. Then let half their defense walk, because it all revolves around Chris Jones & Spags. -

The variance on Gabe Davis as a meh WR2 to a top tier WR3 is massive. I'm very concerned with him as WR2 going into the year. If he's our future WR3 @ an MVS cap number.. I am absolutely thrilled to keep him long term. -
The Allen-Diggs Relationship in Decline?
SCBills replied to hondo in seattle's topic in The Stadium Wall
Sure, RB's are a dime a dozen outside the few elite.. but my hope is that the RB room is designed, from here on out, to take a few hits per game off Josh Allen. IMO, if that comes to fruition, it's a big deal. -
The Allen-Diggs Relationship in Decline?
SCBills replied to hondo in seattle's topic in The Stadium Wall
I like the RB room way more than I did last year with Singletary.. just think it fits what we're wanting to do much more effectively. As an aside, I also like Kyle Allen more than Case Keenum.. if Josh Allen has to miss a few games (like he probably should have last year) The OL, it's all projection.. -Year 2 Kromer effect on the OL -McGovern added, but we were mainly all high on Saffold, so.... -Better depth with Edwards and Shell (if they make the team) At WR, we made minor talent upgrades at WR 3/4.. I think most would agree Harty is more talented than McKenzie. I also think most would agree that Sherfield is more talented than a Kumerow. But how much does that really move the needle?... We'll see. As you point out.. Kincaid and Torrence are the potential needle movers on Offense, but as rookies, they could also be limited and/or depth. -
KT has been a character problem since his UF days. It’s well known. He’s incredibly talented if he can stay healthy, but I figured we would never pursue him given all that surrounds him. It’s just predictable to see him end up in Kansas City. They take risks on character guys, and hey… who am I to judge… maybe the Bills need more “dawg” in them (however we want to quantify that), but these KT DM’s just point to why teams were skiddish of his character concerns (along with injuries)… KC got a RD1 WR talent on a multi-year rookie contract given these circumstances. This is just in line with how they operate. If I had to guess, this might work out in the end too. If he stays healthy, KT is another RAC monster for Mahomes to throw 4 yard passes to.
-
I was on the Trade for KT bandwagon last year, but always figured character concerns are why we wouldn’t be interested (along with inside info from Daboll). Welp… he’s officially become a trash bag KC Chief today with some of these DM’s.

The Florida Blueprint: Inflation
SCBills replied to SectionC3's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
It’s a problem, but not exactly one I’d really lay at the feet of the Governor. Given the hurricanes, smaller companies can’t afford to absorb losses, therefore the only companies that can insure Florida are the big ones .. and even they have insane loss ratios. They can file for rate increases with the state DOI, but then it’s up to the DOI to approve (and everyone’s rates go up) or deny (and then more companies leave or have a new business freeze). For instance multiple companies have left both Florida and California recently .. and in California, even big companies have announced a new business freeze on certain lines of business because they won’t approve the requested rate increases and tell insurance companies to spread the rate increases for loss ratios onto other states (that’s their attempt at protecting Cali consumers) but then you get new business freezes and threats to leave the state. -
DeSantis For President in 2024?
SCBills replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
DeSantis is finished!! MAGA uncovered the vast Ron DeSantis/King Gilgamesh/Hobby Lobby money laundering operation. -
Trump got a massive ovation at UFC last night. Sat ringside with Dana White, hanging out with Rogan, Fieri and Wahlberg. Du Plessis, a big name fighter who earned a title shot last night jumped the ring to give Trump props. Below is Trump with Adesanya. He’s toxic in the general, but this dude is beyond difficult to compete with in the primary. I’ve never seen a politician so loved and so hated. He alone is the reason RDS is perceived as struggling. I’m not sure anyone, at this point (without any debates or primaries) could be doing any better against DJT.
-
If the R’s nominate Trump, yes .. the vote blue no matter who crowd is higher than 40%. If they nominate DeSantis, his policies are what won Virginia for Youngkin. I don’t buy the personality issue stuff. If Trump wasn’t in the race, we wouldn’t be talking about that. RDS would be the clear cut front runner with all the momentum. Nobody can compete with Trump on personality. Love him or hate him, he’s magnetic. If Trump is out and RDS is the nominee, the Dems will pull the plug on Biden and run Newsom. It will then be very left vs very right and personality vs policy.
-
I’m legitimately worried Gavin Newsom could win. Not sure why anyone would write him off. 40% of the country that votes will vote “blue no matter who”. And then the country will get even worse and everyone will be like “I don’t get it, what ha-happened”… Republicans can’t seem to get out of their own way and are, currently, determined to elect the only man who can lose to Biden. Then, if they do come to their senses and it’s trending towards a DeSantis nomination, Dems will find a way to tap Newsom. They are not running Biden against DeSantis. I’d be shocked. I think DeSantis wins in that showdown, as I can’t see Newsom winning Georgia, North Carolina, Arizona or Nevada … and DeSantis would put Virginia in play… along with Newsom not exactly being a great fit for white union Dems in PA, MI and WI. The big battle would be for women in swing states. Newsom’s smooth talking and abortion policy geared toward single women vs DeSantis pro-parent agenda, along with Casey on the campaign trail.
