  1. I’m willing to move 28, 60, next years 1st and next year 2nd if that’s gets us Nabers or Odunze. Really conflicted on a trade up for Brian Thomas. Would really like to keep the 2nd we got from Minny via Houston though. If we invest in WR through the Draft, next year we might not have a 1, but should have a high 2 and cap space to spend for the first time in years.
  2. The mainstream media loved to talk about how Bolsonaro “Brazilian Trump” is an authoritarian threat. So.. let’s take a look at what Lula is up to..
  3. Your response is some random hypothetical? Biden is losing white working class too, so… I’m not saying he’ll lose, because Trump risks having 10-15% of Republicans staying home. But shifts in Hispanics and black men are not good for Dems overall.
  4. More and more it looks like Diggs just checked out. The lack of focus could explain the drops. The quote from Norman about Diggs just taking himself out. The snap percentage reflecting games where Trent Sherfield, of all people, out-snapped him. I think he just quit on us.
  5. I listed 10 guys, excluding QB and OL. Id say we’re probably average to (slightly) above average roster wise in comparison to the league, outside QB. Mainly because there’s a lot of bad OL’s and I think ours is pretty decent. But yea, the difference between us and a lot of teams is Josh Allen. But then the difference between the Chiefs and us has been impact players and coaching. I hesitated on Benford, but his metrics indicate he’s a high level player. I could go either way on him. This season should probably tell the tale of what he truly is. James Cook.. I listed him as above average, because I think most around the league would say that .. but I share the sentiment of being meh on his game. Mainly because he’s actually a good RB, but his RD2 skillset was in pass catching which has been erratic.
  6. Morse is still a good Center, but from people who breakdown tape.. he was struggling more and more at anchoring against certain alignments & certain types of DT’s last year. Diggs could be addition by subtraction, depending on what we do at WR, but in terms of skill & this year only, we could’ve done whatever we decide to do plus have Diggs. So unless we absolutely crush it in bringing in not one, but two WR’s that ball out, we probably will miss Diggs .. strictly talent wise. I’ll hold off judgment until I see what our WR room 1-4 looks like. Everywhere else, honestly no.. I don’t think we miss Tre, Hyde, Poyer, Floyd, Gabe, Bates etc. We had gotten used to life without Tre, Hyde & Poyer were solid last year.. that’s it, Floyd vanished halfway through the season and Gabe, see my comments above about Diggs.
  7. Excluding QB, if we’re all being honest: Above average players, relative to their position -Daquan Jones -Ed Oliver -Greg Rousseau -Matt Milano -Terrell Bernard -Taron Johnson -Christian Benford -Rasul Douglas -James Cook -Dalton Kincaid Offensive Line is tricky to evaluate individually sometimes, but I do think we have an above average OL as a whole. Until proven otherwise.. Von, AJE, Edwards, Rapp, Shakir, Knox, Samuel are average relative to what other teams have. Where we come up short is in impact players. In our own division, Dolphins have Hill, Waddle and Ramsey (debatable). Jets have Wilson and Quinnen with pass rushers all over. If we step back off the ledge, we still have a lot of good to great players. The guys who have flashed elite levels are coming off injury (Von & Milano) and Oliver isn’t consistent enough to warrant this discussion yet. Kincaid could become a superstar this year, but we’re projecting. We’re not really below average at any position except WR, which we all expect to be addressed. Safety is a bit unnerving but it’s also the wheelhouse of our coach. EDGE is pretty volatile in its dependency on the recovery of Von Miller.
  8. Honestly, that’s a great question .. and the answer to that is depressing to think about. Reality: Spags and Anarumo are better DC’s than what we have/have had in McDermott, Frazier etc. CIN doesn’t have any reason to have a defense they can rely on like that in the playoffs, aside from the fact their coaching and schematics are on another level. But we have what we have, so it is what it is. Which is why we needed a Von Miller, before that blew up in our face. But the fact is, the year they went to the Super Bowl, they still had 3 elite impact players. Just all on one side of the ball.
  9. And why do you think the defense lays down? KC had an elite defense all season. When matched against Josh Allen, even missing his WR2 in Gabe Davis, they were in a world of hurt until Chris Jones made a play by beating Dawkins to prevent a TD. Ballgame. They were struggling against Philly in the Super Bowl, but had a return for a TD and got bailed by the refs. Snead, when not locking down Diggs, forced a fumble to alter the Ravens game. Who’s making plays like that for us? Poyer kept the game alive with his goal line punch out, but that’s the extent that I can remember in all these big games (im not talking about WC games where we’re clearly better than the opponent) Meanwhile, Kelce shows up every game for Mahomes. So did Hill.
  10. Justin Simmons, while I’m cautious in that idea, and say Aiyuk or Nabers would completely change the narrative going into this season. That’s the interesting choice presented because doing something like this, would mean we have some holes at depth/rotational spots with late round rookies or JAG free agents.. which is something Beane hasn’t really been willing to do.
  11. Wheeww boy… the left is coming for his head. And we all know why. They sense they are losing men of color. They sense it, because it is true. Not sure why they thought becoming the party of unmarried white women, black women and TQIA+ wouldn’t eventually alienate black men. But here we are, and man.. it’s going to get ugly this year. Especially if more people like The Rock, Charlemagne, multiple prominent rappers, black athletes etc feel ready to start saying what they’re saying.
  12. The whole point of my post is advocating for finding an impact player in the Draft or via Trade. I don’t think there’s going to be a ton of game wreckers all of a sudden made available in post June 1st cuts. But ok, nobody post about the Bills roster until September.
  13. Oliver “can be”. He hasn’t shown “to be”. I also fear he’s too small to take over games. Something is holding him back from being a game wrecker in big moments, and that’s the only major flaw I see in his game. “Milano has entered the chat” For one, he’s a LB. Do we view Fred Warner or Roquan Smith as take over impact players? Maybe some do.. I don’t. He’s also coming off a major injury.
  14. Remember the year we were Super Bowl favorites? We rolled into LA with Allen, prime Diggs and Von. All 3 played like impact players. Team looked like a juggernaut. Then Diggs faded and disappears in the Playoffs. He’s gone. Von gets hurt. Hasn’t been the same since. Who do we keep losing to in recent contending years? KC (2) and CIN (1). CIN Impact Players: Burrow, Chase, Higgins KC Impact Players: Mahomes, Kelce, Jones, Hill Mahomes, Kelce, Jones, Snead Who does KC roll into ‘24 with this year? Mahomes, Kelce, Jones We should always be at 3 impact players. That seems to be a consensus number of what you need to lead your team into the games where it matters. Who can you count on to step up in the clutch. We enter this year with: Allen. ?. ?. Kincaid is a guy we can reasonably hope becomes an impact player. So where does the third impact player come from? Not sure I see any DT’s or EDGE rushers out there for us that fit the bill. Same goes for CB. Maybe Simmons at S? But that’s not a position I’d advocate paying big money at, especially for an older player. And can a S really take over a game? All roads lead to WR1. The Bills, who haven’t been able to get over the hump, could draft around 28 and or slightly move up for a Tier 2 WR. And that’s fine.. maybe this time it works. Maybe they double up with a vet or in RD2 and we have a really nice WR room, albeit without a true game wrecker. Or maybe we finally get that guy to join Allen and potentially Kincaid. To give us that 3rd impact player. A trade for an Aiyuk level receiver or packaging up picks for Nabers would signal a massive shift from building a roster with no holes, above average talent everywhere and plenty of depth (who haven’t been able to win when it matters) to a team with guys coming at you that can truly take over a game. There’s risk involved if doing this through the draft, but the Big 3 all seem to be consensus Top 5 picks in any other draft. Of course, the other option is fielding a competitive team this year, while playing it safe with the intention of going big fish hunting in FA next year. So.. which way Beane? Because at some point.. Josh Allen needs 2 other impact players riding with him. A luxury that has helped propel Mahomes over him year in/year out. The obvious way to get there this year is by going all out to address WR1.
  15. Because he drafted Josh Allen. That’s the simple answer. He also is a decent GM when it comes to drafting, free agency and player relations. Good face of the franchise who represents well on shows like McAfee. That stuff matters. Is he the best GM, no.. but he’s up there. He’s made two really bad moves lately… Diggs extension/WR evaluation as a whole and Von’s restructure. I don’t fault him for the signing. It was really only a 3 year deal that we could’ve gotten out of already if not for the restructure. Von looked like Von before the injury … bad luck there. Diggs extension. Maybe things were all good when it was signed, but Diggs has been a malcontent for most of his career. It’s not hard to envision things going off the rails, especially if his play began to decline.. which we knew likely would happen given his age and extension years. Not sure Beane could ever foresee his QB & WR falling out though.. I don’t think that’s something any GM plans for. However, the WR room evaluation as a whole in recent years has been poor, putting it mildly. He needs to redeem himself, starting now.
  16. If we’re comparing the team we see in September vs the team we saw last half of the season.. no, probably not many downgrades this coming season. Josh Allen being allowed to take over games carried us… again. OL: I have the utmost faith in Kromer. He’s one of the best OL coaches in this league. Morse is good, but did have trouble anchoring against certain players & certain alignments. I expect Torrence and Brown to really become a strong tandem on the right side. DL: It’s really an unknown. I like our top 3 DT’s more than last year. Jones fully healed with Oliver and we have more size & physicality than last years rotation in Johnson. EDGE is dependent upon Von, but Floyd became a complete non-factor last half of the year anyway. LB: Massive upgrade with Milano coming back, year 3 of Bernard and Year 2 of Williams. CB: Douglas, Benford and Johnson is a very good group, and I’m probably higher on Elam than some. Think a new coach should help him. S: Slight downgrade on paper from what Hyde/Poyer were, but think Edwards could flourish here and Rapp came on strong down the stretch before the injury. RB: We’re solid there QB: Allen speaks for himself and we probably upgraded at backup. TE: One of the best rooms in the NFL and I think many expect Kincaid to become a household name this year. WR: TBD. There are plenty of ways that this years room could be better than last years. We shall see… Impact Players: As has been the case in Allen’s career, it doesn’t look like enough. Two years ago we entered the season with Allen, Diggs and Von (pre-injury). That’s where we need to be every year. This year… Allen. Maybe Kincaid. Which is why WR1 could really use an impact player via Draft or Trade.
  17. This is quite a broad brush you’re painting with. The vast majority of this fanbase is vocal in their love of Jordan Poyer.
  18. Is this a parody account?
  19. DK and one of Legette/Worthy/Mitchell outside with Shakir, Samuel, Cook and Kincaid working underneath. No one is stopping that.
  20. Poyer - 99% of us LOVE Gabe - Fans will give him a standing ovation next time we see him Morse - (See above for Gabe) Tre - People in the stands will probably cry next time they see him in person if the team recognizes him, which they will Singletary - Fans were all rooting for this year Edmunds and Diggs are the two that we’ve dumped on.. One because he just wasn’t worth his contract projection, but no real ill will from fans. The fan reaction to Diggs is different for a reason .. and plenty are still wishing him well. And yea.. we all hope Houston somehow becomes a train wreck, why on earth would we not?
  21. Do we have anymore updates on Bills wishing him well? I know Dawkins has. Former Bill, Cole Beasley has. I do see Hamlin as, maybe, the only current Bill commenting on Diggs farewell IG post (in contrast to many of them commenting on Gabe’s) Anyone else.. Thought maybe we’d see something from Gabe now being AFC South rivals. Seems like crickets.
  22. They were clearly “we can’t get Diggs the ball enough traditionally so let’s manufacture touches so he doesn’t get mad” play calls.
  23. I, for one, will not miss WR screens to Diggs where he stutter steps backwards for no reason and gains 3 yards.
  24. I think this surely had something to do with it. Whatever happened around the Cinci game, bled over into last year .. and then when Allen is able to keep picking his OC’s and one of them - the one we now have - clearly didn’t view getting Diggs the ball as a priority.. here we are. 1) Something outside football happened that fractured the chemistry between Allen/Diggs. I don’t know that for a fact, but there are too many rumors & signs of that occurring. 2) Usage, combined with playoff stagnation. His production dropping like a rock and we still get bounced in the Divisional. He can point the finger at himself for this happening as well, but I’m not sure he has that kind of self reflection. “It’s everyone else’s fault” vibes are heavy with Diggs.
  25. This is where I lean with him. Upgrade outside WR1 & WR2, put Samuel in the Slot and I think Shakir is a fantastic piece to rotate inside & outside in the Emmanuel Sanders/Gabe Davis role back when our Offense really started to take off.
