Rumor: Bills trying aggressively to move up for a WR in round one
SCBills replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
In the last hour, apparently everyone is trading up for Nabers or Odunze and the 49ers are dangling Aiyuk or Deebo to Top 10 teams. Ok then.. -
Rumor: Bills trying aggressively to move up for a WR in round one
SCBills replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
Xavier Worthy at 28 and Javon Baker on Day 2 would completely revamp our WR room. Will we double dip? Doubt it, but we'd have a YAC monster in the slot with Samuel, inside/outside flex with Shakir, speed outside in Worthy and a big body outside recevier in Baker. Locked up for: 2 years Shakir 3 years Samuel 4 years Baker 5 years Worthy -

I'd actually be ok with Worthy at 28. I still think we need another legit investment at WR on Day 2 (maybe early Day 3) or a FA addition when Tre's money clears, but Worthy's speed outside with Shakir/Samuel underneath and their YAC ability would be a very different look next year from the Diggs/Davis years of zero YAC. -

Just saw a graphic our 1st Round Picks... We've done pretty well. One question mark in Elam, but I'm willing to give him this year before I say "bust" because he clearly has talent. The next biggest issue I'd have is Oliver for where he was drafted. He very good, but not yet elite.. and that was our chance (for where we drafted) to get that elite piece. -
I've watched Bowers quite a bit living in Atlanta. He's really good, but more in the Kittle sense (IMO). Where we drafted Kincaid to be a Kelce type.. route running, hands and spatial awareness in zone coverage. Bowers doesn't strike me as a "feel" Tight End, more of a bruiser/athlete who has speed and power.

Perfect example of that for us would be Terrell Bernard. Pick made no sense in a vacuum of one year for where he was taken, with Edmunds and Milano on the roster. Fast forward two years and the guy is a key piece of the defense and an absolute stud in our system. -

The thing that I can't wrap my head around is the development of Championship DNA. And maybe that just comes with winning, and we have to get over the hump to do so. McDermott owns 13 seconds. I don't who to blame for CIN.. that just seems like an absolute mess all around leading into that game. Then this year.. injury luck. EVERY. YEAR. KC stays healthy at key positions and we either have big injuries or a depleted roster. KC's WR room.. which couldn't catch a cold all year, played great against us.. and pretty much everyone in the postseason. Conversely, we had to rely on Sherfield due to injury (Beane to blame for WR issues) and he clearly did not step up to the moment. And Diggs.. supposed to be our guy to offset Kelce. And he gets clamped, fumbles, drops passes. Playoff non-factor in big games year in/year out. And alright, those two are gone. Who's our Jones? Maybe Oliver?... Oliver dominated the Steelers in the WC Game, but then got owned by KC. What's it going to take to get people to elevate with Josh Allen when it matters? -

If it's for Nabers or Odunze, I'm firmly on board. Anyone else, meh - as long as it's a modest trade up, ok. We keep going to battle with a complete & deep roster. And we keep losing to a team that has 3 dudes, 2 of which are better than anyone we've ever had (Kelce, Jones) We'll have money next year to add legitimate FA pieces. If a move can be made to find Josh Allen a "dude".. I'm ok trading away next years 1st with zero hesitation. -
Count me in with the group that would be extremely annoyed to see Spencer Brown traded in any fashion. Downside: Contract Year and Back Injury History Upside: Was an average to above average RT last year, who has unlimited potential I'm certainly ok with taking a wait and see approach with him this season, even if it ends up costing us a few million more per year, but unless someone is blowing us away with an offer, you don't trade a good young RT with tons of untapped potential.

Lions extend St. Brown (4 years, 120 mil, 77 gtd)

If every team could find a Kelce, this could be replicated. -

Aiyuk and Higgins are both going to use 30M per as a starting point now. Jefferson might as well ask for 40M at this point. -
Any trade for an established receiver just got more expensive.. Amon-Ra just got 4/120 with 77 guaranteed

I’m supposed to be concerned about Trump pretending to be an evangelical when this trash is the other option?…

The political scene on April 23rd 2024 ---
SCBills replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Biden thinking he can win Florida because of abortion is akin to Trump thinking he can win NY because of left-wing antisemitism and crime. Equally unlikely, especially given there is word DeSantis will take a more prominent role attacking Biden for Trump this Summer. -
I feel like Uniparty, while a real thing, is more of a federal issue. Moving from New York to the South is DRASTIC. For anyone center/center-right who likes warm weather, in a good way. Lower taxes, more freedom, less crime outside areas where you’d expect it, along with a much bigger focus on family & religion. The local/state politicians all reflect that. It’s the federal level i.e. a Lindsey Graham, Rick Scott, Marco Rubio who prioritize the big things similarly to Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff that give off the very evident reality of a Uniparty. Locally though.. no, party still matters.

I don't see Josh Allen at all with Drake Maye. He seems like a Justin Herbert clone who has T-Law scrambling ability.

I have a problem with Cooper Dejean type players
SCBills replied to NastyNateSoldiers's topic in The Stadium Wall
ZERO chance i'm drafting a guy in RD1 that I "hope" can play CB. Annoying to even discuss this, but I get why we are. -
Trade up for Odunze or stand pat/slight move for Worthy. I'll take it. Odunze gives us the prototype WR1 to pair with Allen for the next five years, at least. Worthy gives us effective outside speed at WR that we've never had for Allen. Brown was good, but towards the end of his career and Foster was fast, but not very good.
-
I believe you’re correct, but I can’t fault Beane for making sure he got Allen a proven top tier WR over the potential of Jefferson (or whoever we would’ve taken there). That being said.. Diggs want to be in his feels about not getting over the hump with Allen, but he’s a main culprit in why that occurred.

Will we be in Super Bowl contention this year?
SCBills replied to bills6969's topic in The Stadium Wall
If we make the playoffs, yes. Take the Bengals with all the bizarre elements surrounding that game out of the equation and playoff Josh Allen is the best QB in the NFL. We just need to find coaching and players (health) around him to match his energy. That doesn’t mean we need to be as talented as we’ve been, it simply means we need a little bit better luck and for our team to have guys who step up in the big spots instead of shrink. For as much as we loved the guys we’ve had.. they either didn’t step up or couldn’t stay healthy. Let’s hope this new group of players can. -
If anyone missed Diggs cryptic tweets, you can satiate that empty void by directing yourself on over to Rasul Douglas social media. Less toxic, but same great randomness.

Lance Zierlein: Bills should draft 2 WR in the first 3 rounds
SCBills replied to Beck Water's topic in The Stadium Wall
This, obviously, makes all the sense in the world unless Beane has inside knowledge of WR’s shaking free post 6/1 with Tre’s $$ freeing up. Its maddening to see some of our social media savvy Bills commentators pretend like this shouldn’t be the case. We all thought we needed an early round investment WR before we traded Diggs. Now we’ve lost both our outside guys and unless one believes Shakir can consistently win out there, are left with literally Mack Hollins and Justin Shorter.. ideally our WR5 and WR6. We need two legitimate outside WR’s.. or at least guys who can win outside.. to just have an offense that makes any sense.- 95 replies

The party of “women” is gutting Title IX Honestly.. whatever. This is obviously gross and people should stand up against it, but the people who it affects overwhelmingly vote for the party that’s doing this to them. Democrats, once again, proving that they are not the party for women, they are simply the party for abortion.
