It’s amazing that Lyft & Uber seem to work just fine everywhere else.. So you can blame them all you want, but the fact is.. those people had jobs and now they don’t. The people of Minneapolis could use Uber/Lyft, and come May 1 .. if this holds up .. they now cannot. And whatever tourism the city was trying to bring in will also be affected because nobody wants to deal with trying to figure out taxi’s or navigating whatever government run hellscape of rideshare program the city will eventually attempt to put forth. Time after time, we see that businesses are for profit (shocking, I know). And when government decides to step in and arbitrarily raise costs, those businesses either cut hours, let go of workers and/or raise prices for the public. And time after time, leftist politicians pretend to be shocked at the inevitable outcome of their overreach.

And I disagree that this is a main driver. Republicans biggest worry should not be college degrees, aside from the fact those people are higher propensity voters. Republicans biggest worry should be that people aren’t getting married and single women are dramatically shifting left. Which would play into the above point, given the education level data, re: high propensity voter. Marriage seems to be the only thing capable of moving a high propensity voting group from heavy left to reliably R.

Most recent data on 18-29 https://www.axios.com/2024/02/16/gen-z-gender-gap-political-left-women “Young men are slightly more likely to identify as conservative (29%) than liberal (25%), with moderate (44%) as the largest share — numbers which have remained remarkably steady over the last 25 years.” We’ll see how this plays out in the Fall, but with popular podcasters, athletes and rappers young men follow becoming more open in supporting Trump, he has a good chance of winning men in this age group. (In my opinion)

Even people like Stephen A Smith are calling this out. The pushback is so heavy that the normies MSM tried to propagandize with this, now see that they lied. And now a lot of them will wonder what else they’ve lied about. And when Trump does inevitably say something actually crazy.. these people will remember that “ahh, yea, but the media lies about him, so..”

Potentially, however.. The only demo that shifts based on anything tangible are white women.. and they go from heavy Dem lean (unmarried) to slight Republican lean (married). Everyone else is pretty tribal, aside from Hispanics. White men don’t become Dem lean in any fashion from getting a Bachelors Degree… Now, a PhD, sure.. but that’s a negligible portion of the electorate.

This is such a good post. Every word of it.

He knows his posts cause NFL circles to run wild with speculation. He does it anyway. You’re right, his weird vibes - on and off X - combined with his meh play when we’ve needed him are why I want him traded. It’s not personal.. I don’t know him. He plays for my team and he’s not as good as he thinks he is when it matters. Fans simping for him like everyone else is crazy are just as annoying to us as those like me who want him gone for shrinking in big moments are to you.

You speak for all Ukrainians? I don’t either, but there is clear evidence that plenty of men in that country don’t want to fight in this war, yet they are being forced to. All because America and our Western allies want to bleed Russia dry by using a country steeped in corruption to fight our war. You’re upset because I posted video of a pornstar being used to take pictures with their wounded? Do you get upset when anyone posts their trans spokesperson who had to be removed from their position for talking about “hunting down Russian propagandists” or the nonstop rolodex of Nazis? Because.. of course you would… and of course that’s a country our degenerate countries leaders would “support” i.e. use as sacrificial bodies for a Western war. Russia isn’t good either .. but at least I don’t pretend they are.

That’s why I think he’s available but for a pick worthwhile. I don’t think anyone is offering us that. …but if someone were to offer us a 2nd, allowing us to double dip in the Top 60 of a potentially all-time WR class, I’d have to think that’s appealing to Beane. And im not writing off the season with that infusion of talent just because it’s young.

WR1’s step up in the playoffs. Even Hill had 5 for 62 and a TD against KC in a game where his QB couldn’t even throw the ball in the cold.
-
Yea, this is not it, but even if it was.. his play on the field last year didn’t come close to warranting his $$$. What do NFL teams usually do when that becomes the case? They move on, if possible. For us, it may or may not be possible. My guess.. Diggs is available, but due to the cap pain we’d face by trading him, it has to be worth it .. and I’m guessing we’ve gotten offers that aren’t worth it. Props to him for owning up publicly to the drop against KC.. a big part of my change in view from him post-CIN (favorable) to post-KC (unfavorable) is that he doesn’t step up in the biggest moments and, on top of it, seems incapable of owning up to that. Seeing some self-reflection from him is a welcome sight.. now if he’s here this season and could step up in a big playoff moment, that would be great.

Honestly, good for him responding to that publicly.
