Deshaun Watson to Browns - $230 million guaranteed
BigDingus replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
Tbf he was amazing even in the 3-13 year, but the incompetent organization kept steadily dismantling all this help & relevant teammates... 70% completion rating with 8.5 yards per completion is insane, and every other QBs in history who pulled it off won the SB that year. Watson went 3-13. That speaks volumes to how bad that team was. So unfortunately, it looks like the AFC is stuck with another great QB. -
As long as Knox can stay healthy, this is all upside in my eyes! He's not being asked to be the #1 guy, he's not being paid a ton, and he's got 1 year to earn a new contract. So even if his track record suggests he's likely to get injured again, the Bills will get his best for at least some time. Knox will still be here, Diggs will still be here, Davis will still be here, etc. & if OJ's around for the playoffs, it's just one more redzone threat.

Breaking: Von Miller to bills, 6 year , 120 million
BigDingus replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall
$120 million for 6 years?! Better not be much of it guaranteed... Edit: I'm definitely excited, it's not MY money they're spending, but wow... doubtful any other team offered him anywhere close to that, so no wonder he chose the Bills. Isn't this more than we paid for Mario Williams in his prime? -
McKissinc changes mind, returning to Washington
BigDingus replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
I didn't even know he agreed to sign in the first place, is it too late to act excited first & then get upset? -
Tbf, good free agents would sign with the Pats for next to nothing when Brady was there. Now it seems like the Chiefs & Rams are the ones free agents flock to for cheap.

Sit him all season except for snaps inside the redzone. Even then, his primary role will just be being a decoy... At least in that scenario, he might make it through 3 or 4 games, and then he'll have another 14 weeks to recover in time for 3 or 4 more postseason games! 😆 Psssh, McKenzie acting like they practice outdoors....

Absolutely no way you draft a punter in the first 3 rounds unless you're absolutely desperate. I wouldn't even draft one in the 4th round unless you have several additional picks throughout the draft, even if they're an immediate impact player. Considering where this team's strengths are, do you really want to use a pick on someone who is only out there for 3 or 4 snaps a game, sometimes less? When the Bills are performing well (as they were in the playoffs), I don't want a valued draft pick going to someone who isn't even touching the field contributing to that. Hell, they don't even get to at least put points on the board like a FG kicker who can literally win a game. Great punting is valuable, but ST coverage goes hand-in-hand with their success far more than a place holder does with a FG kicker. So sure, we can all envision the perfect scenario of punt pinning a team back & bouncing out of bounds at the 2 yard line, but that'll be relatively rare as opposed to pretty much anything else of value that happens on the field. I'd rather have extra O-line, D-line, CB's, WR's, or even another RB before a punter... Just about anything else would be more impactful in 99% of snaps against key opponents throughout the year.

I voted Steelers without a second thought, but totally forgot they won a Super Bowl. Honestly, I put up with 17 years of not even getting to the playoffs, but if I could get a few playoff births + a guaranteed Super Bowl win, I'd take it.

To be fair, the last one was more of a Brady PTSD joke than a real prediction, but even so, the Bucs still almost pulled off that game after an insane Rams collapse at the end 🤣

Burrow made it to a Super Bowl & was sacked a Super Bowl tying 7 times... Can't really blame him for getting 2 games further than our squad despite getting obliterated all season (50+ times). Hell, he even got sacked 9 times against the #1 seed & won every playoff game on the road. Josh put up monster numbers & played great, but if I were a Bengals fan, I'd be thrilled to have Burrow & PISSED our O-line is going to get him killed.

Thank you! I try not to be a spelling & grammar Nazi, but this is one of those that really bug me for some reason... 🤣 The other one is when people write "rediculous," instead of "ridiculous."

I kind of enjoyed the Paul Rudd Lays commercial. Aside from that, just was keeping an eye out for new movie/TV trailers. Doctor Strange & Lord of the Rings were about the only ones I remember though.

I mean, there's that Italian Bills fan that frequents the boards who definitely cares! Might not speak the best English, but you can make out enough to know he loves the Bills & the NFL lol
-
Bengals should've been down a TD from that blatant OPI. Yeah, the Rams got bailed out & a new set of downs on a crappy holding call, but they still had a down left to get a 1st or a TD. Either way, they both had their chances. The bigger issue was the Bengals horrible O-line just letting Burrow get ragdolled.

Even the article gets it wrong. It says "Washington won the Super Bowl in its 1981, 1987 and 1991 seasons. Yet the logo has 1982, 1988 and 1992, which were the years in which the title game took place," but Washington won in 1982, not 1981, and the logo shows 1983 😅 Seems like everyone is confused.

Brian Flores suing NFL, NY Giants, Dolphins, Broncos.
BigDingus replied to BillsFan4's topic in The Stadium Wall
Damn, I actually agree with Colin Cowherd (and Joy Taylor) for once after catching them on the radio today. The allegations are a lot more serious than I really considered upon hearing them originally, and it seems very likely a lot of it is true. One of the things I do find weird is what Colin said, and that's when a player is caught doing something majorly wrong people are pissed, but people tend to vehemently defend owners. Everything else aside, offering to pay your HC to tank games is INSANE no matter how you slice it! If any team would do it, not surprised the crappy Dolphins organization would be responsible. What I find hilarious is the fact you then fire the guy after offering something that dirty to him... Did you think he wouldn't spill your corruption?! 🤣 -
I figured no matter what they picked there'd end up being a ton of faux outrage anyway. People were going to hate whatever was chosen, so looks like they just picked something safe. Aside from being generic, the only thing I'd be upset about is the lack of a cool & unique helmet logo. Everything else is just "fine," & boring.

Josh Allen should change his jersey number
BigDingus replied to BringBackFergy's topic in The Stadium Wall
But everything you said wasn't worth much... so how is that a "sound case" at all? You may as well have just said "when I was 17 I broke my toe... therefore Josh Allen should change his number." It's equally random & just as relevant as what you actually presented. -
Brian Daboll hired to be Head Coach of NY Giants
BigDingus replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
Daboll improved after moving from the sidelines to the booth. Anyone think returning to the sidelines will have a negative impact on his play calling? I certainly do. -
This is pretty much what I was saying yesterday. Chiefs fans mocked Bills fans claiming that was OUR Super Bowl, but the way they fell apart in the 2nd half + OT showed it was THEIR Super Bowl too. They played like a shell of themselves after being up 24-3, failed to put points on the board right before half & did nothing from there. Bengals just had to slowly chip away & wait for the Chiefs to shoot themselves in the foot.

I don't think the donation was meant to be an insult was it?
-
How cool would it be for the Bengals to return to the Super Bowl for the first time in decades, only to match up against their old nemesis 49ers? Suddenly that's what I want to see, and I hope they pull off the win.

Even better, Mahomes threw the INT to choke away the game.
