Best be able to do those things Sunday or Buffalo will be in for a hurt.
-
I expect this season to be Daures last in Buffalo. The snap count should help him be productive. If he doesn't start to produce they will take the 3 mill in savings and move on.
-
The Bills blow out the Tolzien Colts and 49ers. This is really not a fair argument, Buffalo would have faced 2 top 5 defenses out of their first 3 games. The Jets defense is better than Colts and 49ers as well. Lets see how they do next week vs Dallas and than the following week vs Seattle before naming Goff MVP and McVay coach of the year.

What if we still had Hogan & Gillislee?
Mat68 replied to BBills14's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They do not effect the outcome of the game. The only player that was let go that an argument could be made we are better with would be Watkins. Over the past few seasons Buffalo's offense has been just as productive with and without him. Even with LA he has had 1 good game and is hurt. -
Week 3: Broncos' Game Preparation - Inactives Announced

This game comes down to Taylor. The defense will keep us in the game. I think the rushing attack will better but still limited. The game is going to come down to the 4th quarter and if the offense capn get in the endzone. -
The Rams 2nd pick will also likely be a late rounder

So you think they win there division? They beat the colts and 49'ers and now they are tops of the NFL? They finish 6-10 best case is 7-9 -
If The Scheme Isn't Broke Why Change It ??
Mat68 replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Roman got fired, than Lynn got a head coaching job so I hate to tell you but no matter who was brought in the scheme was going to change on offense. Really the only coach who didnt change much was Tomlin when Pittsburgh hired him. That however, was an extremely rare situation. Who take over a Superbowl team. -
I love narratives to make points - SF Defense & Watkins

There have been games like last week every year.... Baltimore last year, Tennessee the year before. Does this become a trend or is it just a tough game with a conservative game plan vs a good defense? -
McDermott: Not Enough Separation from the Bills' WRs
Mat68 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
To me this has more to do with play calling than player execution. Once Buffalo decided they should let Taylor throw the ball on first down they moved the football. I understand with the teams strength they can not abandon the run however, they need to do a better job of keeping the defenses guessing. This week will be interesting to see into coach Mcdermott's philosophy. I want to see them open up the offense but I expect they are going to use a similar game plan as to the one that was used vs Carolina. -
No. The 49ers are a bad football team. The 2nd Rd pick will still be in the top 40 next year.

I have not seen Taylor play poorly with an aggressive gameplan. Open it up taylor doesnt throw alot of picks but that will open up rushing lanes. -
Week 3: Broncos' Game Preparation - Inactives Announced

Very simple to me. Against Denver they need to hit some passing plays early. If the can get those down the field it will open up everything they want to do. Stretch left stretch right third and 7 plus will not work again. The analytics are there to implement first down PA and they could be very effective. A littlle pistol formation would help imo as well. Seems like every coach wants to go ball control with Taylor. Hes got arm and ability to make big plays. They need to give him the ability to do so. -
Tyrod and the offense go long stretches of poor football. Idk if its scheme if its Taylor or what. The offense has looked the same vs every good defense they have played in three years. Against Denver I would love to see something creative but I expect another shotty offensive performance. Taylor with the ball and a chance to win a game we have no purpose in winning, amd coming up short. The only way to take advantage of a stout defense is to spread them out. They are too fast a team to run the outside zone against. Go 3 to 4 wide. Force them out of there base d. If needed pass early in the game and on first down. Run run pass has nkt worked in the NFL in 20 years.
-
Imo i do not believe he needs more authority to change out of bad plays but I would like to see them pass more frequently on early downs. The reads are easier and against good teams and the way Buffalo is set up they should pass to set up the run earlier. Play action on early downs will be extremely effective because not only the tendencies they have shown but the running the ball is the teams strengths.

There are games like this all over the NFL every Sunday. The traditional "Good Teams" win these poor games. At the end of the year we only remember Seattle and Greenbay's win lose record not their ugly games they squeak out. At the end of the day if Jones and Taylor connect on that TD the narrative and analysis of this team is completely different. They lost a tough fought game to good football team in their home opener. Couple of positives, they are still relatively healthy and the loss was to an out of conference opponent. This week Buffalo will face a similar style game. I think Buffalo handles business on defense and I am curious to see if they have come up with some wrinkles on offense. I don't think this will be an exciting game in the high scoring sense but will be a defensive struggle and 1 or 2 plays decides the outcome.

Taylor loathing - A dissenting opinion
Mat68 replied to Foreigner's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
As someone who likes Tyrod. For him to be the long-time solution at QB he has to avoid having these style of games. Sure his worst games Buffalo does not get blown out but look completely inept on offense. Regardless of his rushing numbers 125 yards passing is poor at any level. If he does get into these games it would be different if he routinely found a way to win them. Overall, my assessment of his game is that of Russell Wilson. But, these are the kind of games he has to but the main difference is normally finds a way to win them. His first year he has a game like this vs Tennessee but found a way to win that is the last one I can think of. -

Depending on what side of the body the injury is on, would it be easier on Glenn to play and anchor from RT than LT. I like Dawkins athletic ability on the left side. -
Zay Jones drops huge catch. <radio edit>

Thats bound to happen with a rookie wr. He is getting open just not making the plays. Imo we are close to him really having a break out type game. I would do a few things early in the next game to get his confidence up. -
Like i thougbt he worked his way into a sack. I expect for the next couple of weeks that is what to expect. The defense played great. So far so good on that side of the ball.

I think he has the potential to be a #1. He also is clearly a leader. His decription of Zay Jones is very indepth and shows he is willing to help a guy he met a few weeks ago. -
Yes. Our current home combo with a red helment.

Red helmets 90's. I would be all for taking current uniforms and using a red helment. Current all whites are the best current combo.
