Whichever way they felt a most likley high 2nd rd pick and a starting corner is top of the market in value. I have a Watkins jersey I am not thrilled about it, but I understand it as well. The difference in Sammy Watkins to Jordan Matthews and the difference in Ron Darby to EJ Gaines imo is not the difference in a making the playoffs or not or winning the superbowl or not.

The health of Streater and Matthews will impact Holmes. If they practice next week Holmes will be cut and and every signing needed to get to the comp 3rder.

Are we talking on paper week 1 last year or what was on the feild all year? I think Wr is much improved depth wise. Watkins is good but was ineffective much the year. The Jets, Jaguars, Rams, 49ers, Bears are some I can think of that will be much worst. Buffalo will run the ball well. Jones and Matthews is better than Woods and Goodwin. Buffalo will finish the year better than last year. Will it result into the playoffs? I dont think so but they will have a shot.

He made the tougher of the two catches. He was literally millimeters from a touchdown on the second 1. Fairly bleek. The wrs in Watkins class all had the 5th year options picked up.

Maybe it is just because I grew up with them but for me the red helments with current jerseys would be fire. Blue would make sense if we went white more often.

There are too many good football players to completley tank. The defense will be much better than many think. The run game is still incredibly good with Mccoy. I think Jones and Matthews will be able to make plays. I do not see Buffalo being flashy but they will definetly be competive and most likley better than last year.

He seems like a guy Mcdermott would like. Well spoken and well liked. Seems like he will be on feild sooner rather than later. If he has a productive year Buffalo will resign him.

The loss of boldin and the injury to Streeter and matthews give the best chance to brown. He is fast enough to play outside but imo will take over the slot. Reily, Lewis, and shorts all have a shot. Streeter seemed like a lock now probably IR and waived. The last 2 games will decide the last spot. If Streater is healthy before week 1 imo the wr will be: 1. Jones 2. Matthews 3. Brown 4. Streater 5. Tate 6. Rielly

After watching the game film and seeing himself labor down the field had to be eye opening. He is not better than any of the top 4 wrs on the roster. He most likley came to that conclusion saturday in practice when he did nothing but take reps inside.

The McCoy rumors are not from insiders. This is just people throwing ideas out there. They are assuming that Buffalo is trading the farm becuase they traded an oft injured Wr in the last year of his deal. Imo Getting Matthews and Gaines limited the loss of both players. They got draft capital and did not take a big step back this year. Boldin retiring to me was just the realization he is not a starting caliber wr in the NFL anymore. Buffalo is not deep at wr and he is nothkng more than a slot guy. His pride told him to hang it up after watching the game film.

Cam Newton is why Jones and Manuel were drafted. That is why the draft is a crapshoot.

If Ej was a franchise QB it would have bern the right move. Whaley tried to get over the hump. Best shot was with Marrone than he over played his hand and lost.

Injuries happen. Its doubtful to me that he makes the 53 but isnt on the roster week 10. Only way he gets hurt and they do an injury settlement.

Sammy Watkins didnt win the Buffalo Bills football games in 3 years. The offensive production was not much different with or without him. Imo Zay has potential to become a number 1. Matthews will be another productive reciever for Buf. The Bills playoffs hopes and chances are about the same they were in June. Alot of things would need to go right to get in. Looking at the Bills roster objectively you see that the best football players on the team around or over 30. They are pretty old my NFL standards. There is one possible elite player in Daures. If he is not you are married to for 3 more years. And lastly there is no franchise qb or elite talent at QB. Buffalo going forward needed to ability to add young talent. Whether it be a qb or skill players.

Yes. Very much so. He will be a very relible target over the middle from the slot. He is not suited to play outside anymore. Thursday showed that. He is a great downfeild blocker and will help the passing game. He isnt going to light the world on fire for us but he will get 3 to 5 catches a game and make some clutch plays and contested catches.

This team has much more talent on the roster than that team had. Imo.

This is why Buffalo needed the 6 picks in the first 3 rds. The best players on this team are on their second or third contracts. That nucleous of players have not accounted for any degree of sustained success. If Matthews can get on the feild soon I feel Buffalo is improved on all phases of the game compared to last year. You can argue that last years team was more talented but where wildly inconsistent.

I think they have more faith in Ragland than many believe. They are not putting much on him while he comes back from his knee. By mid season i think he starts pushing brown for the mike.

I think both gains and hodges get in the starting line up sooner rather than later. Hodges will take over for Humber at the will and nickelbacker. Gaines is going to start opposite White.

Im intrested to see how Taylor response. Seems like the only wr hes had any chemistry with was Watkins. Zay looks like he can play. Taylor needs to build trust and chemistry with him quickly. At this point no clue what kind of impact Matthews can provide. The passing offense is nothing more than a work in progress.

Inside Boldin will be fine. I doubt you see boldin line up outside maybe once a game come regular season.

Taylor had a bad game. Doesnt seem to have any real chemistry with any pass catcher. Him and Zay need to get together. Matthews adds another dimension that we havent seen yet. Preseason game 3 is usually the best berometer of where the team is at. A little gameplaning and for the most simulating a regular season game for the better part of 3 quarters.
