Well that Seals it Josh Allen # 1 over all
Mat68 replied to 17 Josh Allen's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Marino and Farve in an arm talent and 3 years of college exp are the outliers why he is going top 10 5. You may not think he has a special arm. Again, jeff george would be a bust as well. So idk what made you so upset, but before his senior year Mario was sup 60% as well. -

Hes going to be Jeff Goerge or Farve, Marino. Hes unique in the way that Joel Embid has not play basketball that long but can do things most guys cant. Allen wasnt an elite 11 recruite. He was playing baseball. Now that he is with Qb coach, same one as Darnold, he has improved his footwork in a way your mind wanders to what will he look like in 12 months with NFL coaching, training, and talent around him. If he has the fortitude and the drive he could be great. He could be ehhhh.. with that arm ehhhhhh is a 10 year career starting and back up. -
I would like that. IMO he wants Darnold the one guy he has no link to. Allen may go 1. If Darnold is there Beane pays. Obviously, their is concern on Beanes part about who will be at 2. They have the capital, but Beane wont trade til he knows his guy will be there. He may contact cleveland about 4 and gain info at who they take at 1. If their guy is there they may complete it at the owners meeting. I think NYGs intrest in Darnold is hype. He wants to rebuild the giants like Beane rebuolds the Bills. If their is no trade Gettleman and Beane want the same guy. That happens Beane goes after Jackson and keeps 90% of their picks.

Was Buddy Nix A Good GM? Make Your Case
Mat68 replied to BuffaloRush's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No Mack and Williams is imposing. 3rd down move Mario insiden and have hughes and mack off the edge. Gunner is a probably a cool smart guy. Whaley stays at 10 drafts Beckham or trades up for Mack he is still employed. -
Bills should move up again from #22 for a Win/Win
Mat68 replied to BBillsWestCoast's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No. Move to 2 with 12, 22, 56, 65 2018 1st. The giants say No... Move to 7, 8 or 9 take Jackson and let him battle Mccarron. Keep 22 and get sideline to sideline baker. Maybe move up for the best mike in the draft. 22 and 56 for 15. -

Whaley was better in every way. He couldnt find a franchise qb but made the roster 100% better. His down fall was inhertiting Ej 2014 sammy trade. ODB Jr was picked later and best wr in the draft. Him landry and allen robinson were all more prolific than sammy. That was a mistake or take Mack the best player in the draft and from their back yard. -
Was breaking the drought worth it?
Mat68 replied to The 9 Isles's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Shows a good coach can do in the NFL. Made the playoffs and traded the best Wr on the roster, starting Cb, and former All Pro Dt. They were old and in cap trouble. Beane cleaned the slate and has a bunch of picks. Idk what you consider tanking but trading players that currently contribute for cap releif and future picks would fall under that umbrella. Looking at the way the draft is lining up, I am curious to see this organizations approach. I think to get any of Darnold, Rosen, Allen, Mayfield or Jackson Buffalo will need to trade up. Comes down to the difference of Jackson and who will be at 2. I do not think it will be massive. Not 3 first rders massive. I think Beane trades to 6,7,8 range get Jackson and keeps 22. If Peguala forces the issues for someone at 2 I think a Buffalo will pay a big price to move. The million dollar question is will NYG think a Qb is worth 3 first rders and a 2nd and 3rd. Thats what Buffalos 12th hr offer will be if they want to move. I think Buffalo will want Allen or Darnold and will pay to land them. Option 2 is Jackson for a third the price. Swap picks and 65. -
Would you be satisfied if the draft looked like this?
Mat68 replied to BBillsWestCoast's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Jackson wont make it to 22. If they want a qb they will need to trade. Who they want will determine where. 2,4,or somewhere in 6 to 9. If Buffalo waits for 1 to fall to them a team will Jump b/c everyone knows they are Qb desperate. -
Rosen and Jackson. I think similar to Matt Ryan his size and durabliity will be questioned.

How much it will actually cost to get to #2
Mat68 replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My best guess is 12,22,56,65 2019 1st rd pick. Maybe flip our 5th rder for their 4th. Imo 3 1s will be the price and thats an offer NYG cant say no to that. Its hefty and substantial. Beane is going to take his time deciding is there qb at 2 better than 1 at 4 or 6 plus considering the price moving to 2, 4, 6 plus. With the blantant disregard for the FA class they need to make splash and go get a Qb. -
Rumor: Trade up discussion with Giants
Mat68 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Either Buffalo released this info so if/when they dont make a trade to 2 they can say offers were made and you need a partner to trade. The other one is NYG are trying to encourage others to make offers to push up the price. -
Rumor: Trade up discussion with Giants
Mat68 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If the Giants dont take that offer or counter something realistic they are taking a Qb. -
These are the kind of signings Buffalo has made since Whaley became GM. This is nothing new or strange. They are not going to make any splash FA signing. They are going to fill as many holes before the draft like they do every year and how every good team operates. Beane takes a morning poo at 730 instead of 6 is a sign of a trade up now.
-
The imminent trade up because they signed 2 vetran lineman is a bit ridiculous. They traded a tackle and the starting center retired. Were they suppose to field a team of rookies?

Why not give McCarron an honest chance?
Mat68 replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I dont think he is that good. If im Buffalo im leaving the draft with a Qb. Im taking 1 in the first. I have the picks to pay premium price. Where are the qbs likley drafted? 1,3,and 5 i would assume are Qbs. Who is my top qb. If he does not go 1 I can move to 2. Probably 12,22, 56, 65 and 2019 1st. Is 4 available? What is that price? Would you risk your #1 going in division? Who is my second Qb. How much less in the evaluation process is he from 1? Where does he go? 1,3,5 qbs. Is my number 2 making it through? Possible? Likley? Ok the third guy how big of a gap from him to 1? Whats the odds my 3 top qbs go 1,3,5? This year is unique. There are 5 guys not rated as first round talents. All very different in styles. I could see stark contrasts to different evaluators rankings in the league. The cost of moving up significantly goes down after denver. I think Buffalo can move up and retain 22. Two qbs will be there? It will take brass cajones to make that call but the cost will be much less. Is it darnold rosen mayfield? Allen and Jackon are still avaible. You see where im going. A number of combinations can play out. I think Buffalo plays it like FA. Dont pay an arm and a leg. Moves up gets the 3rd or 4th qb off the board and only gives up 56 and next year 3rd to do it. -
Will Mason Rudolph be the first QB taken in the draft?
Mat68 replied to mileena's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
12 is perfect. Maybe the Jets moved up for Rudolph? -
The majority of his throws he had massive passing windows. Second half vs GA. They control rushef him and contained him in the pocket and it was a struggle. Thats what concerns me. I dont hate mayfield but i dont love him to trade top 5 for. 8 or 9? Sure. Keep 22 and get a QB is my new train of thought.
-
I see it a little differant. Similar premise. The move to 12 was to put them in position to get their second choice at qb. Depending on the price the ability to get their number 1 choice. Imo Buffalo has is Rosen 1 Jackson 2. Beane is going to take the next month determining is Rosen 3 firsts and 2 thirds better than Jackson. After watching the past year Im going to go with the conclusion Rosen is not. Buffalo gets Jackson and then makes a move to Mcd his linebaker.
-
I do not. I would be happy either. They are the most talented Qbs in the draft.

Beane & Co. too Conservative in their Trade Offers? (Opinion)
Mat68 replied to BigDingus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think Gettleman has been asking for that all along. No problem with Beane doing his dilegance and finding out if the guy they like is worth it. There are multiple qbs as well. How do they rate Jackson to there number 1 guy? If its close take him and keep 100% of their picks. -
This is becoming a strong possibility. I Could see Buffalo taking Jackson at 12 trading up from 22 for one of linebakers. This may be a better option then trading 6 picks for rosen.
-
Im assuming NYG want 3 1s plus. Its a steep price and if the guy is a franchise qb you do it. If they are that high on a guy they have doubts he will be there. Im not going to right off the new regime until the picks are in and see who they got. If they get any of the top 5 I will be happy. If they get one of them and keep 22 I would be impressed.

2004 rivals it. This year looks to me like 2004. There are 5 prospects with completely differant skill sets, make up, and personalities. Depending how Buffalo has their 5 ranked they may not need to trade to 2. I think Mayfiled, Jackson, or Allen can be had around where the Bills pick at. Depending on the situation any of them could become success or bust.
