People that understand football and what it takes to win think Allen was the top Qb. Let that sink. In a deep Qb class it was thought of Allen going 1. He is the most talented Qb Buffalo has had since Kelly. Today Allen has the best arm in the NFL. The first practice after his first throw every player on the team will see this guy is different. That is all good and excited stuff. Dont let the hype/debate of the last 3 months jade your feelings on what just happened. They have a potential franchise qb. The argument can be made Buffalo got the #1 Qb and #1 Lb A++. Reguardless of your personal opionions they both are genetic freaks and both have played football for only a handfull of years. If someone told me Buffalo would get Allen and Edmunds I would say you are drunk.

Come OTA'S, TC and Pre Season Allen will be all over Mccarron for playing time. Allen plays sooner than many think. Allem performs better than many think.

Making sure the Qb the guy they want most is there at 2. If not they go option B at 4 or 5 imo. They need a Qb either way but if you are going with the second choice save a few picks in the process.

I was confusec with the 2016-2017 aspect. I see why he is risky. I understand why some people would risk picking him. He is a late bloomer without alot of refinement. My prefrence for Buffalo is Rosen. Outside of Rosen I would go Allen. His upside is too great. You have professional coaches, coach him to reach his potential.

Spot duty. He was't brought it as a starter. i get it you liked him since Alabama. He never beat out Dalton, the chances of him being anything more than a spot starter in the NFL is quite small. I am not going into 2018 as Mccarron as my unquestioned starter and leader. Maybe he is fantastic but more likely whoever Buffalo drafts early quickly becomes the starter.
