Take your bets now what top 15 pick will fall?
Monty98 replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This, if I'm a GM/Coach I'm terrified to hitch my career to him, plus Tua lacks the ability to read the blitz. He gets a lot of Madden syndrome, drop drop drop get sacked. Otherwise I have a feeling Isiah Simmons will drop. He's positionless in the NFL. He'd make a solid Dime\Nickel backer or safety, but I don't think he's big enough for a full time 4-3 backer but I don't think he has the skill set to play fulltime safety in the NFL. I wouldn't be surprised if someone takes him late round 1 or round 2 -
I'd love us to go after Shaq Thompson, I think he's terribly miscast in that weird multiple front Carolina has been using. He'd make our trio Milano, Edmunds, and Thompson. He excels in coverage and hes been solid for Carolina otherwise. Knows the system plus we'd have the funds to get him out of Carolina

Week 16 - Bills and Pats up for a flex?
Monty98 replied to Gavin in Va Beach's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think by American Thanksgiving we'll have a better idea of how that Saturday will look. Looking at the rest of the season, there's no real weeks we'll get flexed into prime time unfortunately. Unless they are willing to move Vikings Cowboys for our game against Cleveland. -
Week 16 - Bills and Pats up for a flex?
Monty98 replied to Gavin in Va Beach's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If that game can decided the division, we'll easily be the Saturday night. Rams Niners would make sense to be the afternoon game since that's roughly 1pm kickoff for them. Houston Tampa 1230 makes sense too. -
I think one of the off the radar moves would be Devante Parker from Miami and he would only require on of our multiple 5ths or a 4th. He's a big rangy guy who can the underneath game but also use some speed down the field, hasn't been what Miami hoped but a change of scenery maybe beneficial for him.

Week 16 - Bills and Pats up for a flex?

Fox wont care, they'll have back to back NFC East match-ups Sunday. In theory it should be either us and the Pats or Niners Rams. -
Josh Allen - week FIVE report card
Monty98 replied to rayray808's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What are you talking about?! Josh rolls to his left avoids the sack, the backer comes up for secondary rush help. The sideline isn't an ally in this play, its more likely to result in a non completion or similar pick to last week where the DB comes over the top to pick it. Josh sets his feet and throws to where Yeldon should end up if he keeps running. If Yeldon doesn't stop running across the field its right in his chest. That's not on Allen, that is on Yeldon, and in future scenarios Yeldon will learn that Josh wants him to keep coming. -
My thing with Baker is I feel like he lacks pocket presence. Against Tennessee he constantly didn't feel the rush coming and tonight he just held on to the ball a lot and kept expecting OBJ to get open. At Oklahoma and at Texas Tech he played in a system that didn't require multiple reads, so it was Brown or Lamb should be open get it to them otherwise take off. He may get better but honestly I'm not too sure. Josh last year at least showed some pocket presence with getting out or taking off from a collapsing pocket and reading his progressions. He looked lost at times, but progressed as a rookie. Also since last year Baker has thrown the most interceptions

He shouldn't get fined, that's just a good physical play. I hate this rule because it pretty much only affects the defense. All an offensive player has to do is brace for the hit and lower his head a bit to theoretically draw a flag. It's stupid, Poyer didn't launch or lead with the crown, he did what you're taught to do in a tackle, head in front of the target, lower, explode through.

does any team still use DE who mainly set edge?
Monty98 replied to Orlando Buffalo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Dallas uses Tyrone Crawford as an edge setter at DE, Trey Flowers was a better edge setter than pass rusher, Chris Long is an edge setter and that is just off the top of my head -
I'm from Oakville, lucked out having family in Buffalo too.Made it down for the Jags game last season

I'll see your Bryce love raise you Travis Homer, kid does it all Miami despite terrible OL play and has home run hitter speed plus he runs angry. He'll be available in the 5th or so.

If we're playing the mock off-season game I want to play too! I mean, hey I have one too. FA - I'd target Daryl Williams from Carolina assuming his knee is healthy and give him a prove you're healthy contract, alternatively, if New England doesn't re-up with Trent Brown I'd take him too T - Williams (CAR), Brown (NEW) AJ Cann has the run blocking we're looking for (plus eff Marone), and DJ Fluker has had it come together in Seattle G - Cann (JAX) or Fluker (SEA) Not a lot of good C, but one sticks out to me and that is Brett Jones from Minn, he would be someone to go after imo. C - Jones (MIN) At WR there isn't a lot of star power outside of Josh Gordon and Golden Tate, I would avoid Tate, but Gordon interests me. Otherwise I think you need to look at prove it contracts and the draft for this position. WR - Gordon (NEW), White (CHI), Bryant (OAK) all three would be prove it contracts, drugs for Gordon and Bryant and injuries for White. At TE I'm a little less worried with Croom, but if Clay were to be let go I wouldn't be upset at this point, but if you can bring Eifert in for Allen I'm all for it. TE - Eifert (CIN) Draft wise I'm expecting a Top 10 pick, anywhere from 8-10. RD1. Greg Little OT (OLE MISS) if you can't sign either Williams or Brown. If you sign one then I'd try and trade back to 15 - 18 , Say Denver at 18 for their 1st and 3rd, then grab either AJ Brown WR (OLE MISS) or D.K. Metcalf WR (OLE MISS) RD2. I'd be okay with Ross Pierschbacher G (BAMA) to shore up the line, unless you've addressed already then go to get Jerry Hughes (carbon copy player almost) heir apparent Joe Jackson DE (MIA) or Trayvon Mullen CB (CLEM). RD3. Another 2 picks, Tevon Coney OLB (ND) to complete the trio with Milano and Edmunds for hopefully 8-9 years, and Gerald Willis DT (MIA) who has been as dominant and disruptive as one could be at DT this year, at one point he was leading the country in TFL as a DT. That's how I'd attack the off-season, we'll see what happens.

Noah Fant - TE Iowa - Should Bills pick at 8
Monty98 replied to Sanners's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Personally I like Issac Nauta, but if we can nab Fant in round 2 I'm all in -
Given the Keys to Draft How Would U Drive The Car ?
Monty98 replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If possible I want to drop to around 15-17, I'd look at either Greg Little or AJ Brown if still there. Outside look at Gerald Willis at DT. He's been an absolute monster at Miami this year. I think round 2 you get BPA for OL or WR or CB, round 3 the same for OL or defensive player -
If Zay pans out, McD's first two drafts are awesome
Monty98 replied to Da webster guy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Maybe it was looked at is Mahomes worth the extra first or not at this moment. I'll gladly take the extra first. I wasn't sold on Mahomes last year, not everyone was as he dropped to our pick. So did Watson, in the end Buffalo passed for an extra first plus Tre White, that extra first was converted into one of either Allen or Edmunds. If/when Allen pans out or looks good in the second season, will you be less upset with Tre and Allen? As a 21 year old he's not even fully developed physically. There's a huge difference there between a fully grown man as a football player and a 21 year old still growing. The excitement is because he's raw and physically talented at 21 but has a ceiling that's crazy, maybe it's rough now but as he continues to grow it can be scary. Look at Amobi Okoye he was drafted crazy young too, as a young guy he was physically over matched, but later in his career he was a solid DT and played well. -
Watch the hit, he leads with his head into the block. It's not a clean block, to be honest its about as bad as Harrison on Mohammed Massaquoi for you guys.

@stuvian as one Canadian to another I'll gladly take a pair off you for a preseason game. Just a friendly Canadian offer.

NFL Combine - Measurements, Times, and Other News
Monty98 replied to thebandit27's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Josey Jewell is a heck of a linebacker who's great against the run, not sure on his coverage though. RJ mcintosh is good but kinda raw, but extremely athletic. Chad Thomas is a great DE from Miami though I think you'd like. good tape to watch is Miami vs VT and ND -
Not yet, even if we win out and Baltimore wins out and Tenn wins 2 and LA wins out after this weekend its a tie and we're on the outside looking in.
