  1. From what I heard he's been working out with the SC coach there and some camps. If you're comparing his testing to Phillips from Miami you're not getting a good comp. Phillips was the #1 player in his class and an OLB who converted to DE. His numbers are actually pretty good, a 4.7 at DE is great, but his 10 is more important. The bench is affected by his wing span, and his vert at 6'6 is scary. I think people thinking he's going to be like a Chase Young type are looking at him wrong, Phillips is more like Young
  2. Rousseau isn't going to stand out athletic wise. But in his redshirt sophomore year he was right behind Chase Young in sacks and only started 6 games. He's not a pure pass rush player, he's a collapse the pocket like Cam Jordan and stop the run on the edge. If he drops to 30 we should be excited. As for who to avoid at 30, for me its Eric Stokes. Wasn't even the best CB on the Georgia roster. That was Tyson Campbell and their second best transferred out
  3. I feel like one of the edge guys will drop. Lots of very good OL and WR in the draft 4-5 QBs go in the first round, CB will over drafted. Someone out of Phillips, Rousseau, or Ouljari will drop to 30 probably. My guess is Rousseau based on his one year of production and the fact that he's super super raw. Talented but doesn't have one wow skill. This is coming from a Canes fan, I thought he'd get overdrafted based on production. He had a lot of effort sacks where he didn't give up on the play, will be something in 2-3 years but for a rebuild or early pick you want instant production. I'd love him in Buffalo as a learn from Jerry Hughes type pick
  4. If we're discussing a trade he most likely won't accept a trade that doesn't net him a one or two year extension
  5. Do I have to give just one or can I share a list of draft-able prospects? Doing it anyways! Just bringing a little bit of anarchy. WR: Frank Darby - 6'0 1/8 " 194 RS Senior from ASU Career Rec 67 Yds 1317 TDs 13 YPC 19.7 Nico Collins - 6'4 1/4" 215 Junior (opt out would have been a senior) from Michigan Career Rec 78 Yds 1388 TDs 13 YPC 17.8 Desmond Fitzpatrick - 6'2 1/8" 202 RS Senior from Louisville Career Rec 154 Yds 2589 TDs 21 YPC 16.8 Josh Palmer - 6'1 1/4" 210 Senior from Tennessee Career Rec 99 Yds 1514 TDs 7 YPC 15.3 Amari Rodgers - 5'9 1/2" 211 Senior from Clemson Career Rec 181 Yds 2,144 TDs 15 YPC 11.8 Marquez Stevenson - 5'10" 182 Senior from Houston Career Rec 127 Yds 1962 TDs 18 YPC 15.4 That's strictly Senior Bowl players minus Toney and Devonta Smith who will most likely be gone before 30.
  6. From my understanding, if we extend Allen this offseason, it nullifies the 5th year option as we've put a contract in place of that option, which means we have the extension starting at the end of next season but his bonus money would be upfront this season. Again that's just my understanding of how the extension works. For instance, Tre gets paid salary starting next season I believe (or did we pick up the 5th year option first?) So his bonus money was accounted for with this season and then his new salary would start this year. **Okay so I was on the right path, but I see where I went wrong. So yes in theory extending Allen now "helps" but we have to put half of his salary in bonus money and divide it over the amount of years (with a maximum of 5 years), OR you go the Julio Jones route which is minimal base salary and majority bonus over 5 years, the bonus can be averaged out where the base can be miniscule to start and slowly rise up.
  7. Buffalo should pick-up the 5th year option on Allen before any extension is done, would allow us to have an agreement in place for when the cap situation is in place and save some money upfront extension wise. There will be massive cuts across the league, a guy like Julio Jones could come available. Ideally we resign Feliciano and Williams, I'd leave LB for the draft, I love Milano but the tweet that was out regarding Beane and Milano comes across as Milano has a number and we aren't going to match that number so if you can get it in free agency then go get paid. I think we'll see a depth corner signing, maybe a low tier lineman, and maybe and edge guy. I think we're going to get creative and move Oliver to the LE spot where he can focus on edge and outside run contain (his strength) while letting Butler and Star go to work inside. That allows Klein and Edmunds to roam free of any wash and watch our run d sky rocket. My sneaky picks so far, 30 trade down into the second and pick up Brevin Jordan, Chazz Surratt in round 2 and in the third hope that Quincy Roche falls to us
  8. I think he'll stay with McDermott and Beane, his best years as a pro were with Beane being involved in Carolina.
  9. I mean the article I read and the one which was quoted in the replies after me both said 19
  10. Both played well, Phillips had a couple key run stops where he shot the gap. Murphy I think came down on one read where Lamar kept and bounced out, otherwise Murphy played well in the read game and even got Jackson to make a mistake on the read as well
  11. Stafford has been a legit QB regardless of the terrible staffs put in front of him. But I agree, you take the HC job over OC regardless
  12. Most concussions are whiplash related. So the neck could have been the cause
  13. The NFL average is 19 days... Or so I read. If so it's Henne this week
  14. Bolton isn't bad, but if you want decent value, Chaz Surratt out of UNC is my pick for LB. Ex QB who switched to defense last year with the young QB who came in, while he may not be a perfect LB coming in, he understands passing concepts and can be a strong over LB ala Milano. I do believe they had similar size coming out as well.
  15. Ehn if he turns into end of career Vick (Philly) I'd take that as a win for Baltimore. Once he learned to play QB in a west coast spread system like Reid ran, Vick was a solid QB. Now, if teams start following our defensive blueprint will he fade away? Last year and this year we took away his run game, and in the conditions today he clearly needed that running ability. If he can use the pocket mobility he was showing last night and throw from the pocket he may be fine. Baltimore needs a west coast scheme though I think for him to be successful
  16. Heard he wanted Salah, so that's supposedly why he was interested in going to San Fran. Rumors are that Bieniemy does not interview well, whether that's GM talk for not a great leader skill set or just looks better because of Reid? If Daboll leaves for LA I'm intrigued as to what we do OC wise, I'm not sure I want Dorsey cutting his teeth as an OC with our group, but maybe Daboll takes him. Who do we hire. If Frazier leaves what do we do at DC?
  17. I think we'll see a lot of delayed blitzes tomorrow. I also think it will be a lot of zone blitzing, if they run man blitzes it lets Allen roll to his right and throw or run and we all know how effective he is while doing that. Zone blitz at least keeps all eyes on Allen underneath and "limits" his ability to run. We'll probably also see a spy in the form of Patrick Queen or maybe someone like Jimmy Smith. Smith is a big bodied DB who struggles in coverage now as he's gotten older and some injuries, but he still can move and if he's spying Allen it should slow his ability to get away from the pocket (in theory).
  18. Depends on how much is bonus money/base salary and how they structure it. Ideally we find a way to maybe not make it fully guaranteed. Maybe Allen turns to us and says let's make a deal and help the team win on a bridge deal.
  19. I really like this hire for the Jets. Saleh could do damage with the front seven in place and they get Mosely back next season. Get some help for Maye and Poole on the back end and Saleh just needs a decent offense. If he is bringing Matt Lafleur's brother to run the offense (worked within the offense with Kyle Shanahan) they might be able to salvage Darnold. Ideally they trade down from #2 but if not they pickup Sewell
  20. Yes, Brevin Jordan out of Miami. Although he's more of a flexed out TE than inline, he can still block and chip DE to help the tackle, I'm not sure how he'd stack up against OLB in a 3-4 though. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EzOhH4sqGOM (Miami Vs Louisville) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gJ1dIzcFjwQ (Miami vs UAB) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=72UNdAuoCkA&t=90s (Miami vs FSU) I'd add Jordan late 2nd, early 3rd had some issues staying healthy but when he was playing for Miami he was an absolute stud. Really good after the catch, had pretty good hands, couple drops here and there but not constant drop issues. Mismatch vs LB in coverage, clearly was D'eriq King's favourite target when he was on the field, move TE that can really cause headaches. https://www.profootballnetwork.com/brevin-jordan-nfl-draft-player-profile-miami-tight-end/ (Brevin's draft profile, note my quick notes vs their write up is similar)
  21. I don't think there's any chance of Jonnu Smith getting out of Tenn.
