He's not even that tall. He measured in at 6'1 at the Senior Bowl. He's average height and has decent speed. There's a lot of average in the draft class and he doesn't wow. If you're looking for a nice round 2 guy, look at Ja'Lynn Polk and Brenden Rice. Jmo

There was the reports on him from college, great athlete zero brain. Plus the fact that NYG instantly were like...uhhh we made a horrible mistake tells you everything. Andy Reid figured he could get something out of him and all he's gotten is a constant migraine

It's just there for us to take and we seem to think it's like off limits to use a RB screen. It just makes teams think about blitzing us, can add an extra half second

Fair, but then do a throw back screen, lots of teams will do that vs a spy, roll a QB away, stop and dump. Best part is, you can run it off a QB sweep look, you can run it off a sprint out look, even a play action boot look. All of those get the spy moving.

Just want to address this, yes screens are great CAN WE RUN A SLIP SCREEN GO TO A BACK THOUGH?! I get bubbles to get Shakir or Diggs in space but like how many times would a RB slip screen or a TE screen been effective against a blitz?

He's just not good, yeah okay he had a good game in their biggest game of the season but Coleman is mid. I'm at the stage right now of trade out of the 1st and get a future first and a 2nd this year, and get after Ja'Lynn Polk from Washington. I really like what I've seen so far and watching the game vs Texas 👀

I'm not saying he isn't good or that he's overrated. My point is, is he a guy you put faith in signing long term to replace Diggs as a #1? I don't, and I don't think he's a true #1 WR either. He's a good #2 but he's not a great #2 fringe #1. Look at guys we've had, Peerless Price? Great #2 terrible #1 in Atlanta. Stevie Johnson, would have been a much better #2 but was a fringe #1 guy. Diggs has been that clear #1 and Davis was a good #2 to him. I think there's much more enticing options in the draft. I really think all 3 of the Washington guys will be #1s if not the fringe #1 great #2. I think someone will see his size and the games like the 13 second game and pay him more than he's worth.

I get that, but that's what you're paying Dawkins to do, beat Jones one on one and not get pushed back like he's on skates.

Tre missed the tackle but he's in a tough spot, he's the contain guy. He's doing his job by forcing Hall inside where the flow is supposed to clean up. Does he miss a tackle? Yes, did he olé the tackle? Not at all. Poyer was worse down the field flat footed.

All this tells me he's had a number from day one and we laughed him out of the meeting. I'm sure he is using the 13 second game and the fact that Diggs is aging as his main points of why I'm worth X. I just don't see him as a need here. He's easily replaceable via draft and doesn't offer something that Diggs or Shakir don't. Noted I've been big on Shakir since his draft but Davis can go and look for the money he thinks he's worth

He's shown a willingness to tackle, also not to be forgotten, Hyde was a slot corner guy for Green Bay when we signed him. White has never shied away from contact, he may not be the greatest tackler ever, but he will make contact and he's got a knack for making the ball pop out. I'm just saying he's something that the team looks at and goes hey, he could be our cover guy vs getting a bonafide SS that's "imposing"

Maybe not as a corner, but Tre is a player you could make the case for attempting a move to FS. I'm not saying he's a guaranteed surefire stud there, but it's something to look at. Coverage wise he's able to sit in zone and let it come to him more and he's been quick enough to patrol a deep cover 2 zone. He's a willing tackler on top of it, so I'm just saying it could be a possibility to have less needs come draft and lets you re up Rapp if necessary

I mean I don't think you're planning on Chris Jones coming off the edge at the end, he's been the guy in the middle pretty much his career, and you have a well paid OT in Dawkins that you have to trust to stop Jones one on one, Dawkins got bull rushed like he was a sled into Allen's lap.

James Williams? I'd imagine so. There's the risk someone will fall in love with his measurables size speed combo and over draft him. But 3rd is a good spot for him. The other two WRs from Washington have me excited. Polk and McMillan, both have size and did different jobs at Washington. Polk was the sure handed over the middle need a catch in the clutch guy, and McMillan was your third option that abused the slot/overmatched coverage. Against Texas he was unstoppable.

I'm intrigued to know what his "character issues"are as I've been following him since he arrived at UM. Williams flashes his zone coverage on plays but under Diaz he was utilized as a head hunter. Under Cristobal he was hurt his first year with a torn labrum and that whole defense was terrible under that DC (name is escaping me), this year under Guidry he was utilized best with his skill set as he was used as a blitzer and cover guy. He had probably his best year this year and you could see the improvement as the season went on. He's an energy guy and he's constantly looking to make a play or big hit to get the team or crowd into it.

If you're playing him in the Poyer role, he's a good safety and high calibre, didn't say first round pick, but a high calibre player. Closer to a Kam Chancellor type, but still high calibre

Avoid Keon Coleman like the plague. He showed up for 2 games at FSU and it was the LSU and Syracuse game. Outside of that he was pedestrian at best. Everyone sees his size and he will test well and think D.K. 2.0 but he has not produced like D.K. has.

Give me Kam Kinchens from Miami. One of the better safety's out there and we have to replace two. He's a ball hawk, isn't super proficient in the run game, but he's was a do it all safety for Miami 2 years ago, this year he missed some time with an injury but was their best player on the back 7. They have two high caliber safeties coming out but James Williams is a Strong Safety whereas Kam is the FS.

Greg Rousseau has only been playing DE for 5 years. He was a safety/LB/WR in highschool. At Miami he moved to DE as a freshman. He's played exceptionally well for a guy who's talented yet extremely raw. He's not going to be a 10-15 sack guy ever, he's your edge setting DE who plays the run better than the pass. His sack numbers at Miami were inflated due to the DC moving him inside on passing downs where he used his length to beat guards. He's a low end Cam Jordan, known as a better run stuffer than a pure pass rusher. He's one you keep because his measurables are something you can't find. He can disrupt pass lanes and knock down lots of balls as we've seen him do here. If you have a legit pass rush option opposite of him he will look much better.

I don't understand why people think DT get astronomical sack numbers. Ed will get some looks every once in a while where he's single blocked, but he's often going to get chipped by a RB in the pass game. Oliver gets great penetration, but the downfall with that is you lead to a secondary block. The benefit of that is you take that running back out of the play. I understand stand people expect 10+ sack seasons cause he was drafted at 9. That is absurd, if he's constantly in the 6-8 range as a DT and gets his share of TFLs we are winning with him. Secondly, I do believe he has a high ankle sprain.. that's what he got dinged up with? I'm 3 months out from a high ankle sprain and I still don't have full strength/weight bearing ability. Granted he's an athlete with a world class rehab team, but they always tell people the high ankle sprains last and linger all season

This states that players who are on the transition tag or franchise tag, I guess they have the ability to sign their deal or whatever until November 15th. I can't see them not being allowed to add free agents post week 10. If you have an injury to a position that you don't have anymore backups or practice squad players teams have still signed players late in the season. I believe what's interpreted here is if you have a player on one of those two tags, they can hold out till week 10, if they don't sign the tender then they must sit out

Combo coverage when called at appropriate times, is extremely effective at slowing down an offense. It's just so nice to see such a complex system vs the years of Jauron and his cover 2 or Ryan's blitz everything and play cover 0 behind it. McDermott and Frazier have mixed two phenomenal systems and have built a very successful system.

Yes and no, second impact syndrome affects people under a certain age, but once they are 23/24 it seems to not be the same factor. REGARDLESS, there's a lot of questions to be answered right now and prayers for a kid that shouldn't have been put in that position

It's easy to say hey they let Hill and Waddle eat, but talent wise Peters and Humphrey are very good. Marcus Williams is balling back there too. Kyle Hamilton is a rook, but he's got talent. Also last year means nothing to me defensively, the amount of games lost to their DBs last year was insane. I believe they were down both Peters and Humphrey for a considerable amount of time.

I get that, that's why I said most effective way. I don't think there's much to do to slow them down, but if you can try to at least limit the big plays you probably stand a chance to stay in the game. I'm intrigued to see how we do against Baltimore's secondary, might be the best secondary we face all year, Green Bay has a decent one too. So far we've faced Ramsay, no one of note in Tennessee (maybe Byard), so...Miami has Howard and Holland has played well at S for them too.
