They playoffs is when you unleash your weapons, and he wasn't even really needed against the Patriots so his workload was lighter in the first game. Crazy to think he wasn't even a top 250 WR college recruiting prospect, or top 250 Florida recruit. Beane loves his late bloomers.

This sounds like when the Bills were "interested in" or "tried to sign/trade for" every big name, when really it was more like "hey would you happen to be willing to play for league minimum" or "hey would you take a 7th for CMC and eat his salary".

Being condescending isn't a substitute for intelligence. It's obvious you just want to argue with people so you can think you're smart. If you'd take two seconds to actually take in what I said, you'd know the implication is that much of the "love" he got was based in being a meme, and not actually being a great QB (he was just the best we had for a while). It's not that the beard itself excludes him from it you disingenuous...well just fill in the blank since you like putting words in my mouth.

As much as I wanted him to retire (as a backup) as a Bill and maybe win a championship with us, this is the right move for him. Coming off an injury at his age, just take your respectable career earnings (and career in general) and go enjoy your life.

I think you're confusing being a meme with being loved. I mean sure he was loved, I love him, but if he looked like just a regular guy he wouldn't have held a candle to players of his era like Fred Jackson, Kyle Williams, etc. I'd love to see him retire as a Bill, but wall of fame? Lol no not even close.

I dunno, with adding Howard and a couple pass catching RBs, and anticipating better run blocking with Bates and our old O-line coach back in the mix, I'd be surprised if he cracks 1000 yards even as the #2.

I saw an article saying we could/should pick up OBJ for the later part of the season based on some perceived need for another veteran WR, but I don't know what he was smoking. I'd put our top 3 of Diggs/Davis/Crowder against any in the league, and we might have the deepest WR room in the league (if a little slot heavy) when you add McKenzie and our 5th round steal to the mix. Then you throw in Knox and Howard, our new pass catching RBs... I mean I wouldn't be upset if we landed OBJ for a Super Bowl run, but I just don't see it as necessary.
