  1. Or The A-Team firing hundreds of rounds from automatic weapons and never killing anyone. They're like Stormtroopers, but somehow Hannibal and Company always prevail. (Which relates to my first comment on this thread.)
  2. If you gave me a choice between dying and spending the rest of my life in a maximum security prison with no chance of parole, I'd choose death. I'd rather see him get life without parole, so he can spend a long time regretting his actions.
  3. This play resulted in: A. a roughing the passer penalty B. A horse collar tackle penalty C. a sack D. an intentional grounding penalty Clearly, D was called because it was in the Bills' favor.
  4. I feed from the bottom, you feed from the top I live upon morsels you happen to drop And coffee that somehow leaks out of your cup If nothing comes down then I'm forced to swim up
  5. Many years ago, I called tech support about a computer issue. I explained to the person that I'm an A+ Certified PC tech and that I've already done the basic troubleshooting process. His response: "Have you tried rebooting?" A similar thing happened when I called the power company to report an outage. I explained that I checked my service panel and no breakers were tripped, and all the houses in my neighborhood were dark, so it was more than just us. You guessed it! He sent me down to check the main breaker.
  6. It's been such a long time, I think I should be going, yeah And time doesn't wait for me, It keeps on rolling.
  7. Everyone except the Bills, Packers, and Lions. 1. Obvious reasons 2. I'd love to see how Rodgers reacts to Jordan Love getting a ring in his first year as a starter, while A-Rodge couldn't make the playoffs with the same team (if not a better one) a year ago. 3. I sympathize with their fans
  8. Schrödinger's dumpster:
  9. Because TB's o-line was allowed to hold.
  10. She had a choice in marrying him. When my FIL was young, he wanted to be a dairy farmer like his father. His fiance saw that his parents never took vacations because there were always farm chores to do, so she told him that she wouldn't marry him if he became a farmer. He decided that he wanted her more than he wanted to be a farmer. Teller had already been drafted into the NFL when they started dating, so she knew from the start what his career path was, and she chose to get into a relationship with him anyway. I do understand that there are hassles associated with being a celebrity (or being married to one), but it's a chosen lifestyle - like everything, it comes with its pros and cons. Her video focused on the cons; the fans are reminding everyone about the pros.
  11. Oh, catch that buzz Love is the drug I'm thinking of Oh, can't you see Love is the drug for me
  12. I tried it once in college (early 80s.) I bought just enough for one evening (two lines maybe) and realized that for the money I spent, I could have bought a bag of weed that would last a week, so I decided I'd never buy it again. I did indulge a couple of times when a friend offered it, but after the Len Bias incident, I decided it wasn't worth the risk. He was just a few weeks younger than me. (Google it if you're too young to recognize the name.)
  13. So you, you get on your bad motor scooter and ride Walk over to my place and stay all night, mm, yeah
  14. Their win was against a team that had already locked up the #1 seed and was resting its starters. Had the Ravens been playing full-strength, then yesterday would have been locker clean-out day in PIT. By contrast, our win was over a team that was desperate to beat us, partly because we've owned them over the past few years, but mostly because the division title and playoff seeding were at stake.
  15. That depends a lot on the reason I'm interviewing for another job. If I hate my current job and will do just about anything to get out, then I agree with your premise. But if I'm reasonably happy where I am and I'm just looking for advancement or a career change, then I'm still dedicated to my current job - certainly through the interview process. I'd say most coordinators who interview for HC jobs are in the latter category.
  16. I made a batch of wings with a new technique: Wings ala Tom This recipe cuts out a lot of the fat, primarily by not deep-frying, but the wings still come out tender and juicy. Start with a package of frozen chicken wings, skin on, separated into drums and flats. Put them in a pot of water, bring to a boil, and cook until a meat thermometer says they're at 165F internally. Remove from heat. Drain the water, which gets rid of some of the fat. Put them in the fridge to cool for a while. Line a baking tin with two layers of paper towels. Place wings on paper towels and cover with another layer of paper towels. Dry the outsides thoroughly. Move the wings to a pan or bowl and add some Frank's RedHot. Shake/stir to coat the wings. Save the sauce for later! (Remember, the wings are already cooked.) Put wings onto an oven-safe grate with a baking sheet underneath. Skin should be facing up. You can air-fry them, broil them, or use a convection oven. (Our convection oven has an air-fry setting.) Either way, don't preheat it. Set it at 400F and put the wings into the oven on the top rack. As the temperature slowly increases, the fat from the skin will baste the meat. Cook for 10 minutes. Flip wings over and cook for another five minutes. They should be nice and crispy all around. Remove wings and toss them back into the bowl of RedHot. Coat thoroughly. Put the wings back in the oven for about 5 minutes. These are the best wings I've had in years - even better than most I've had in WNY, and certainly better than anything I've found outside of WNY. I doubt I'll ever order wings from a restaurant again. And using the oven/air-fryer instead of a deep-fryer doesn't detract from the taste or juiciness at all. In the summer, I'll use the grill instead of the air-fryer.
  17. Well, alright, well, alright You know we'll live and love with all our might Well, alright, well, alright You know our lifetime love will be alright
  18. Happy birthday, Gug! I'm glad the Bills gave you a nice present because I didn't. 😉
