People get on my case because I'm 55 and my wife is 22. Last week we were out to dinner and everyone was staring - totally ruined our 10th anniversary!

It's worth spending 21 minutes and 12 seconds watching/listening to this:

The snow bowl was fun to watch, as it reminded me of playing sandlot football in the snow when I was a kid. The Denver game was good too. We were driving our son to college for dorm move-in day, so I recorded the game and watched it when we got home. I was expecting a loss but was pleasantly surprised at the outcome. And the NYE game against the 'Fins was a blast. Kyle Williams' TD run was a thing of beauty. And the post-game locker room scene when the Bengals won was huge.

You hate to see her leave, but you love to watch her walk away.

The Bills did not "luck" into the playoffs

So you're saying the Bills Forced their way into the playoffs. -

There's another saying: the better I am, the luckier I get. -
The Bills did not "luck" into the playoffs
WhoTom replied to The Red King's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed. I said this in another thread: if the BAL-CIN game had occurred in week 10 and gone down exactly as it did in week 17, and all the Bills needed in week 17 was to win and they're in, then nobody would have called it "luck" or "backing into" the playoffs. -

The more cases you've had, the nicer they are, right? ? Shaw's a lawyer. I'm guessing he finds a creative way to bill a client for the time he spends writing the RR. ? (Just kidding, Shaw.) -
Which Bills Moments Legitimately Made You Cry?
WhoTom replied to BuffaloRush's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ditto. Football is entertainment; nothing about the sport makes me cry. But after watching a man lie still for 20 minutes, be carted away in an ambulance, and be told that if he survives, he's likely to be paralyzed for life ... and then to see him walk back onto the field where the injury occurred - THAT put a lump in my throat. -

Indeed. Thanks to the mods for maintaining the site and thanks to the quality posters for contributing intelligent thoughts. Being 600 miles away from WNY makes it difficult to find other Bills fans to talk to, so it's great to get on this board a few times a day, see what's happening, and get peoples' take on it. -

Summa --- Laude? Glad I'm not a smart person
WhoTom replied to The Poojer's topic in Off the Wall Archives
A long time ago on MNF, Madden was talking about a player who graduated with a GPA of 4.4 out of 4.0. He did say that it was because the kid took graduate level classes as an undergrad, so that accounted for the extra points. I kept thinking, "Cmon, John ... say it: He gave 110%!" But alas, Madden couldn't do the math. -

THE ROCKPILE REVIEW - Credit Where Credit Is Due
WhoTom replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Right. When they told Rex to start EJ in the last game, he asked about his future and Mr. Pegula said, "We're probably going in a different direction," so Rex said, "Just fire me now." He was definitely fired, because his contract was guaranteed. If he had quit, he'd have lost all that money. -
Eat your way through Buffalo’s new chicken wing trail
WhoTom replied to \GoBillsInDallas/'s topic in Off the Wall Archives
Rule No. 2 when you’re eating wings in Buffalo: Never, ever ask for "Buffalo Wings." -
A racoon would have eaten them, and Ozzy would've been more disorganized. Obviously, this was a Pigeon Mafia hit.

My sister and oldest brother are exactly 11 months apart. (Sicilian ancestry.)

I'm the youngest of four kids. (Mom said she wanted six.) When I was born, my siblings were 17, 16, and 10. Noting the large age gap, I once asked my parents why they had another kid that late in life. With a sly grin, Dad said, "You were a forgotten trip to the drug store." I know he was joking, for three reasons. First, my parents were absolute devout Catholics, and at that time, the church opposed birth control under any circumstances. Second, my dad worked at a drug store! Third, he had a great sense of humor. While he usually kept it G-rated, once in a while he'd go for a little touch of shock factor.
