  1. I was not alive for the 70s but my Dad distinctly spoke of a Bills Phins game where Buffalo had the lead we punted and the Miami player never called for the catch or something like that, Buffalo made a clean hit that forced a fumble but the ref threw the flag anyway. Miami proceeded to go down and score for the win. It was something in this regard I am sure someone know better then I what happened and utter BS to the level of Benjamin or "Just Give It To Them"
  2. There is merit to some of your points but in general I think its just the league itself. It does no good for the NFL to have an issue were it looks like teams are favored ie: New England, Seattle, Green Bay, Pitt etc... I think as fans who are on downtrodden teams like BUF, CLE, CIN, DET who haven't had much success we will find the flaws even greater then perhaps an up and coming Rams team or Panthers team. That said I do find it pretty hard to digest that NE has now benefited big time from four major calls that have gone there way with major impacts on the outcome of their games (HOU Cooks catch, PIT James catch, BUF Benjamin catch, & NYJ Jenkins catch). Even a non bias person would say that is really bad for the league to have a team benefit that clearly from calls that are blatantly wrong. At the same point if your the NFL think of how bad it is optics wise that a team like NE who people do not like and people are always looking for a reason to bash is again in the cross hairs of a major call that allow Patriot haters more ammunition to discredit their success. That does ziltch for the NFL brand to help it and I say that as a Bills fan and fellow Patriot hater. This is where replay, not knowing what a catch is, and the massive amount of stupid rules/rule changes have forced the refs far more into the spotlight then ever needed. That is 100% un-equivalently on the NFL as a league. The Chargers point is pretty bad. They have a lot of talent on that team and the last two years led the league in losses by like 7pts or less. Their schedule also was relatively soft after finishing last in the division. I understand that from a distance it looks shady but you could say the same about the Rams success. I will say this though the NFL is notorious that if you piss off the ownership circle they will have it out for you. Al Davis was despised for how he did his business and battled the NFL. Kraft and the Patriots are not respected in certain ways by a lot of owners and the deflategate suspension/penalties levied were a show of that dislike/jealously by other owners. I think Jerry Jones is very close to actually being shunned into a corner as the crazy old guy especially with Richardson's passing thanks to the stink he created with Elliot and Goodell's contract. At some point every sword loses its edge and Jones is teetering there.
  3. Once Dareus left it took away a player teams had to game plan for on run D. Marcell at 70% is better then most at 100%.
  4. Agreed. If Bills make playoffs we absolutely play on MNF along with TNF. SNF is tough unless the Bills lose a dramatic game to an opponent we'd face next season like JAX.
  5. The home schedule is dreadfully boring outside of maybe Chargers and Lions. The away schedule is quite fun though and I plan on going to at least Baltimore and possibly Minnesota or Indy. Green Bay is too hard because of ticket costs from my understanding.
  6. I would say this. In the AFC they at least have the potential to upset PIT or NE. I don't know if they have to go two consecutive weeks with those two if they come out ahead just given the war of attrition. BUT if I was New England I would fear them more then Pittsburgh because of that defense and how good they run the ball which NE fails to do well against. And PIT already knows what Jax can do. I wouldn't go to this extent. It was a straight up power battle between Whaley who had Brandon on his side and Marrone who would've got Polian in if he won. Don't forget for a sizeable amount of time after the last game it was expected that Polian was coming in as the football Czar and Whaley was toast. Not sure if it matters that much now we pissed 2 years away with Rex but McD isn't doing too shabby so I will give him time.
  7. I would disagree to an extent. The games Buffalo has won in the 2nd half they scaled back their playbook considerably and were fine just running clock out in the game. Now I would not do that, but McD has been conservative to start with and IMO they feel their best chance is less risk the better (like I said would not do that). I think Dennison has been hit or miss all season and I would be fine if he leaves although I would say the parts he is working with and injuries have had a bit of a role. I am interested to see with Pats and Fins if the Jets game was just a blub for rnd 2 or if it really is an issue of adjustments.
  8. Strong post, for some reason NE tends to play better in BUF in terms of blowouts then at home. Not sure why.
  9. The issue is where in the penal code does it say its illegal it break a table regardless of how stupid? That's a realllllyyy hard thing to enforce
  10. And that is my issue with holding calls this year especially. Most of these calls are complete bogus where it is a light grab not something where it is blatant which has killed big plays. And 100% agree with snow game was nice just to have both teams play and be done with it.
  11. To me it stems to this. Somewhere in the early 2000s when we got replay we went mentally from just getting the basic calls right foot in bounds, ball over goal line, was the knee down etc.. to making every catch, TD, tackle, fumble, you name it into the dam Zapruder film. Additionally do not under estimate the amount of rule changes the NFL has had starting in 03 on that has emphasized the offense more and made the game far more complicated for how a defender can even tackle an opposing player. This also has created a situation where if Tom Brady or Drew Brees is grazed remotely wrong its a flag immediately, yet if your a lesser QB you most likely do not get that call. That's a really bad look for the NFL and only imbalances the rich from the poor league wise. I would honestly like to see a bit of a pull back on calls and replay. It is just too much and the amount of times a play is called back because of an insanely light hold that doesn't need to be call is astonishing. This season especially really seems to have had that a lot IMO. The NFL needs to do some work to clean up its game because its too messy with flags and rules to the point no one knows what a catch is.
  12. I would disagree that Pete is the worst coaches in football, if anything he probably is a top 10 guy. I do think his game mgmt leaves a lot to be desired and I do believe he wanted Wilson to win MVP to prop him up higher which is why that pass happened in the SB even though he should've just ran the dam ball. I also think his inability to own his mistake in the SB which was well reported to divide his locker room with D vs O has come back to bite him a bit here. That team since the SB loss has not looked the same and there is a noticeable vibe that differs between the two sides of that roster. That said the Seahawks have had a very good run here, they have won a SB and played in 2, dominated the division for almost a decade and without injuries would most likely be in the playoffs right now. Pete Carroll does deserve a lot of credit for this, although I understand Bills fans having a grudge for his failure to beat our hated rival with the worst call in the history of the Super Bowl.
  13. The initial roster is an honor because its not replacements and highlights the best in the game that season. It would be nice for a few Bills to make it. In regards to the game eh whatever haha
  14. PG-16 based of DD's entrance requirement ayooo!
  15. If true I really really like this minus one small thing. The family friendly portion makes me happy for the access they have and that is great, but also makes me slightly nervous on in game experience. In no way do I want nor condone the drunken idiots we see weekly and those people are not needed in the game. At the same point the Sabres have become so freaking family friendly that they do zilch to push the envelope. My fear is they start really trying to punish those who stand in the lower bowl and also have a much more corporate style fan environment that is not natural to what we as fans can contribute. I don't like that a lot of families won't take kids under 13 to a game so I am all for making that better, but I really hope they still allow the fans to be a presence and not neuter the experience.
  16. My source said a lot of seats probably the color blue, some suites, bathrooms for sure, a few beer stands, and at least 10-12 concession stands. Speakers and soundsystem are still TBD
  17. Whats really frustrating with Shaq is he was a 1st rnd pick who has now had two sizeable injuires that have limited his season. THEN add in this scheme was suppose to be better for him and he still was ineffective and he really looks like a bust.
  18. For a time Fisher was an above average coach but the league passed him by at the end of his tenure in TEN. And in St. Louis/LA he really lost his touch.
  19. Sh*t forgot about him. Yea he should be in there.
  20. Today the Pro Bowl rosters are suppose to be released and I wanted to take a quick look at who the Bills may send. Micah Hyde won the fan vote as starting safety in the AFC which he rightfully earned and is in. This is who I see in and who else may have a chance: Is In: Micah Hyde: Sublime play and year from him. Plus his leadership his been crucial to keeping the Bills defense afloat. Should be in: LeSean McCoy: Buffalo's one true superstar player and man has he turned it on the back half of the season again. He will make it either in the initial team or as an alternate but I would expect him to be in the first group. TreDavious White: He has built an incredible reputation already in the AFC and should win DROY as look as the Bills make the playoffs. His rating this last week by PFF was so good that Jay Cutler was better off in-completing passes to the ground then throwing at him. Typically CB is a tough Pro Bowl spot to crack but he has forced his way to make this an exception. Toss Up: Richie Incognito: He is highly respected league wide for his play and leadership (ironic right). It is not surprise that as his play has improved so has the running games. Additionally for offensive lineman once they start making appearances voters usually stay with guys even if they have a down year just because of their name. Richie has made the Pro Bowl the last two years and I wouldn't be surprised if he is in even though it was a slow start for him. Jordan Poyer: He is the only player in the NFL with 3 INTs, 2 Sacks this season and he has been magnificent in coverage. The issue for Poyer is Hyde has been a little better and already has a higher reputation in league given his Pro Bowl election. The NFL rarely sees two safeties from the same team make it in and despite Poyer's high play I think he may need a guy to bow out to make it in. That said you never know. Steven Hauschka: He has had a great year for the Bills at one point going 13 straight FG's completed from 50 or longer. He is one of the few weapons other teams have to acknowledge the Bills have. Hard to say if he makes it only becuse special teams voting is always weird and reputation matters big time where I could see Justin Tucker making it in over Steve just because of that. (credit to YoloinOhio for reminding me on Steve)
  21. He should won it just slightly over Lattimore. BUT I think the Bills have to make the playoffs for that to happen. Otherwise it goes to Lattimore because the media likes to see the impact of the player result in something tangible. A division title for the Saints after last year does that for Latts, a playoff appearance does that for Tre. But no playoffs for Tre he loses that even though its a team sport.
  22. When you use any form of thinking to create a concrete argument with facts and evidence I'll respond again. Otherwise your just an incredibly pathetic individual.
  23. This is a horrendously stupid take and how your a global mod is really impressive given how vain this is. You say the team is shredded talent and can't compete yet this squad is superior then anything Ryan had and his 2015 team was probably the most talented the Bills have had since 99 and unlike last years Bills team which sank against Miami this one showed some fight and won. You say with each win we cost ourselves draft position yet the Bills drafted Tre White 27th who was picked after CB's Gareon Conley & Adoree Jackson, but sure you can't find talent in later rounds. You make no mention of Dion Dawkins drafted in the 2nd round who has played quite well and has been rated highly by most major media nor do you want to mention Matt Milano's ascent into a solid starter. You basically make gross generalizations to try to support an incredibly shallow and pathetic point especially when 3 of the highlights to the team are from this years rookie class. Getting the pick of the liter at QB only guarantees your pick of a QB who may be less of risk of failure. Luck was suppose to be the 2nd coming of Elway and has been killed because his team has no talent, coaching, and culture. You can preach that it's better to be 4-10 is better then 8-6 because of draft, yet the best QB of all time was a guy in the 6th round and the only one who challenges him (Montana) was a 3rd round pick. For every high QB pick that is Cam or Matt Ryan I can throw back Brees or Rodgers who were late 1st or 2nd round guys who have outperformed your pick of the liter. It's a flat joke to believe culture and building a winning atmosphere is insignificant to just having high picks in draft. The top sports analysts say that having a large quantity of picks is the best way to go given the statistical odds of how the draft is a crap shoot. The Bills have done that and managed to exceed anyone's expectations in performance despite an admittedly flawed roster by the team itself. Sure we may not 100% know if this is going to work, but off what we can judge so far they are in good hands. People like yourself are the type I would never want to play sports with because you have no concept on what it takes to win nor the belief to do so.
  24. You cannot expect that the Bills host of a 3 hr show 5 times a week dedicated to the team which is an arm of the team to actually criticize the Russ who is the head of the Bills and Sabres business wise. Second fans complaining about Russ who has zero role with team decisions anymore and can be credited for helping the team stay here still baffles my mind to this day. Yes there was a point Russ was at the controls and he biff'd it pretty decently, but that was years ago and I'm not sure what is achieved revisiting the past constantly.
  25. For patriots nothing. BUT I think it was Peter King in today's MMQB said Bills vs Dolphins week 17 could get flexed to 4:25 if Bills beat the Patriots so the Chargers game later matters and their not eliminated before they start play at 4:25.
