  1. Hopefully I will not be around by 2087. I'd be a 99 and probably looking pretty rough, unless I could be some sort of Cyborg terminator mix. That would be freakin awesome
  2. The All or Nothing series on Prime is superb and far better. They did the Rams and Cardinals before the Cowboys and they did the University of Michigan Football for the first college one.
  3. I wish there were no cheerleaders period. It's stupid and outdated and this is even worse and more pathetic. I'd rather have those dogs catching Frisbee's during halftime or breaks; their farrr more entertaining and better to look at.
  4. Yea pre-season W/L means not much to me I judge it by how the team looks and depending on the need that offseason the players themselves. I remember a bad pre season would be the 2014 Bills were the offense in the main pre season game against the Bucs got booed off the damn field at half time. That was bad. So far the offensive has looked better then expected and the defense did what I figured especially because they are showing 1% of their true plan. That works by me and Allen looks possibly more ready to go sooner which would be great..but if they don't rush him that's also fine.
  5. Spygate changed everything. Up until then I could respect what they were doing while very much disliking them. That and the 2007 season with how arrogant they were every game made me utterly despised them. I was at 56-10.
  6. Yea major bummer. I do graphic design work and some web design from time to time and it sucks to see something with the resources and potential like an NFL football team have such a subpar product.
  7. So I understand your gripes and frustrations and will react to those in a second. BUT please please please remember NFL teams are moving away from doing training camps instead preferring to do it at the main training facility with limited fan access. I don't disagree on a lot of what you said but please remember that there could very possibly be a day when we don't get this access or you have to pay for it etc.. That would super duper suck. I have a kid on the way in January and can't wait in a few years to go to camp especailly living here in Rochester. It's free and a great first football experience then the chaos of a real game. That said: -Crowd/Autograph: You may have just went on a bad day crowd wise. When I went Thursday August 1st in the morning there was a crowd but I got Poyer's autograph after. Basically if you hang at a certain place (depending on the player granted) a lot of times it's easier to get an autograph. I know Allen stayed late and signed a lot for people. Eddie Yarborough and Harrison Phillips also were there and you easily could've got there's if you wanted it. But this was all not a ticketed practice. Ticketed practices I will say are a zoo and unfortunately a lot of adults could give two craps about a kids experience sadly. I have found to try and avoid those at this point because of the chaos and lack of respect to others. -Merchandise: 1000% agree. Back in the Marrone era you could by a ton of different stuff and they really had a nice diversified amount of gear. Now it is not only more expensive, but the gear is so basic it's like their not trying. I've been going to camp since 2009 and I have seen the shift with gear. I completely get your frustration. -Kids Setup: So the day we were there they had pony's for kids to ride where they use to do the Pass and Kick thing because it was Wild West theme'd day. Additionally they were giving out cowboy hats for fans. I actually thought the setup was better then previous for everyone, although I do agree the beer pong probably should've been elsewhere. Perhaps on non-theme day's they could utilize the area better with more kids stuff. -VIP: This I also agree with and is sad reality of the NFL now where it's corporate 100% of the time. The Bills like every team have made a concerted effort to the VIP crowd and at points its frustrating because a lot of the autograph stuff is now favored for them first and makes it very hard to get those players. I actually called about the VIP thing to see the cost and basically it's like $1000, doesn't include food or drink, and just gives you access to that area. Now if you can gather enough people that's not awful, but are you really wanting to spend even $50 at a free event because you might get a better autograph or picture? As a Rochester resident I sadly agree. Having camp here is awesome because of the energy it brings to the area for the team, but literally everyone is now doing practice in house and I just can't see this lasting. The real shame of it is the amount of fans here in Rochester who actually get the team for a bit rather then having to go to Buffalo for everything. Say what you want about R. Brandon but he did a great job giving us in Rochester opportunities to see the team and the feeling it was part of our region not just Buffalo. I am nervous if camp leaves that the interest won't be as high here but I could be wrong.
  8. I know a few weeks ago someone had a thread about how the Bills website was pretty blah and all. Turns out it is that way for every team. Looks like the NFL forces all teams to use the same platform which is pure garbage.
  9. He did too much good up until last year for me to buy this. I want to give him a year before I judge. But I get others apprehension at this point.
  10. I picked the Chargers but I do think people are selling the Raiders short. Last year they were Super Bowl favorites etc.. blah blah but they still do have a strong offense. They are like the Cowboys if the defense does enough while the offense is rolling they can make noise. With that said I rank like this: 1. Chargers (Best roster, can they finally break through after so many disappointments?) 2. Raiders (I buy the offense and think last year was a blip. They can be a WC team IMO) 3. Chiefs (If Mahomes is real I think the offense can get them to 9-7. But the defense is too shaky the rest of the way) 4. Broncos (They have the hallmarks of a organization headed down all together. QB is most likely a one year wonder, defense is losing its glue, head coach made everything worse, and the ownership is turning into a cluster fight between family which never goes well. Denver has been consistently good forever but I think this could be the start of some long dark years like we saw)
  11. There are very few bell cow RB's like Shady, Bell, or Zeke who take 90% of the carries. Teams do RB by committee and don't pay the position like they use to because a RB's shelf life is usually so short now. The other thing is not only with the league moving to be a passing league, but teams running 3, 4, even 5 WR formations teams have 2 to even 3 good-great WR's that share the ball there. I mean heck Brandin Cooks whose a pretty dang good WR himself with considered expendable enough to be traded twice and I think he is better the Michael Thomas. But with how WR's get paid and the fact you can get guys cheaper in the draft I would say even the WR position outside of your elite guys like ODB, Brown, AJ Green etc.. teams are only willing to pay a certain price. Basically with QB's now being valued more highly then ever teams are very budget conscious and forcing hard decisions on which players to spend on.
  12. Much cheaper is a relative thing. The cost is around $500 million for Reno vs a new which could be the same potentially or in the $600-700 million range. Neither situation is cheap straight up. It's going to be a massive investment in either scenario and for the team, region, politicians, etc.. its a valid question to ask whether to rebuild or go new when the costs are massively different. The studies have been done on locations a few years ago. I get that your one of the fans which things are perfect and if for eternity things never changed for Bills stadium you would be fine with that. There however are many who are not that way and wayy more forces then just us fans at play that will dictate will the Bills play. If you don't think the city of Buffalo would love to take in the tax revenue that Orchard Park gets plus the general aura/prestige of having the team downtown your dead wrong. Doesn't mean there going back either, but the grand picture is massive.
  13. I covered this in my thread a few months ago the link is here: The cost for a new stadium vs a renovation of the Ralph is very similar with the renovation cost nearing $500 million off recent estimates. For that price your pretty close to a new stadium if they choose to want one and its a valid thing to consider when that time especially considering how much the Pegula's have invested in downtown. What I said in no way reflects my personal opinion for or against a stadium it just simply is the numbers and what has been reported.
  14. I prefer 2018 for RB, WR and 2017 for O-line. TE is a wash same group. QB is unknown at this point but I think they should have a bit more success now with Coleman and the scheme they are running. Zay Jones is frankly where he should've been before in the WR4 spot assuming he even makes the team. Cam Phillips has been sensational in camp and I'd put him over Zay at this point.
  15. Sgt Pepper (Although I highly respect your inclusion of Abbey Road that would be 2nd for me) Nevermind (As a 90s kid this blew our doors off) Zeppelin I My Dark Beautiful Twisted Fantasy 59 Sound
  16. Oh I have nooooo problem picking against the Bills in a pick-em pool I say keep them in. And this is an excellent idea
  17. haha these are my fav football piece to read pre season starting My favorite thing I ever read is someone compared a Bills tailgate to the battle of carthage lol
  18. Exactly. He is a solid enough starter that with some pieces your offense can be pretty decent for the most part but he won't win you the game with his arm. If you have a 3-5 year period where your defense is really good he certainly can manage your team to some 10-6/11-5 years. But he isn't a guy like some media make it that will single handidly carry you to 9-10 wins just by himself the way Brees, Rodgers, Brady, Ben, and even lesser QBs like Wilson, Stafford, Ryan, and Rivers have. And that's what leads to the fighting between people because he is serviceable enough and with help can be pretty decent. But if Josh McCown was the Bills QB who is another good serviceable enough starter last year they probably beat Jax because he can pass better.
  19. If their 3-5 the season is going better then I expect and the idea of 8-8 9-7 doesn't seem wild in the least to me
  20. This morning was awful and I did email the guy Jeremy White said to contact. Such a joke that corporate forces a switch from a perfectly fine service to one that is terrible and literally makes it impossible to listen.
  21. Once again I posted a thread weeks ago explaining GB has renovated the stadium for a combined $500 million, Chicago built a new stadium on the old one for $383 back in 2002, and KC did a $375 million dollar renovation. So no our stadium is not newer then any of those and the question which will be posed is a Ralph renovation is estimated just under $500 million. For that price tag is it worth rebuilding or just moving new to downtown. If you honestly think that the owners in the NFL who are some of the richest and greediest people you will find aren't putting significant pressure on the Pegula's for a new stadium and that the Pegula's themselves don't at least want to consider a stadium by all of their investment downtown then your a fool.
  22. Don't disagree with anything you have to say. The whole thing will be fascinating and the real world will be harsh on both sides. People need to be ready for fake threats of moving or government making too big of promises at points etc.. It won't be pretty but its going to have to go down. Also even if just comes down to tax breaks or increases on taxes on things like soda, beer, hotel etc.. like other cities have done that is money which could be used for more valuable projects.
  23. I wrote an thread weeks ago that dove into the entire cost breakdown of a new stadium with research and numbers backing it up etc.. The Bills can get $200 million from NFL in loan type fund, they pledge $200 million, state 100 million, and city/county $100 million there's your new stadium. It will be a split job if its a new stadium that looks something like that. Breaking down the city/county piece lets just say the city of Buffalo offers $100 million which is paid back over 10 years. There are 250k residents currently its breaks down to about $40 more in taxes per year. Now your absolutely right to question if that is the best use of funds but that is the breakdown. OR the government does a Sin Tax on alcohol or hotel occupancy etc..
  24. NYS commuted $130 million to a damn renovation. Stop saying people won't pay for it, if this team ever hinted leaving people would be up in arms.
  25. Like it or not the long term future will require a future stadium whether at the Ralph or a new stadium to be updated and it will have some elements that cater to a richer and more family based crowd. The cost to renovate the Ralph is estimated right around $500 million so its a good serious question do you rebuild or relocate new? I get you and every other fan who will talk the tailgate environment and culture blah blah blah. They don't entirely care about that and if they can make a stadium downtown near everything else they own that will make more money while still maintaining some tailgate culture they will do so.
