Gameday Thread Week 4.5 Bills @ Titans 1st Half
Success replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
On the previous TD run, he wasn't even looking at the runner. He was totally focused on his blocker. -
Gameday Thread Week 4.5 Bills @ Titans 1st Half
Success replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
For 20 years, we had either a decent or stifling defense, and and all I thought was "I'd give anything for a great offense." Turns out I wouldn't give everything. I wouldn't give a decent or stifling defense. -

Losing Tre really hurts. Gonna have to keep scoring. -
Week 5: Bills at Titans on Tuesday Night Football
Success replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It would have been a candidate for regular season game of the years. Still is I guess, but this definitely takes away from it. -

Fair enough. No doubt there are things going on that I & we do not know about. I feel like I see more adjustment w/ the other leagues - more of an acceptance of the reality of a pandemic, and a willingness to cut into profits if necessary to ensure a successful season. -

And don't forget heaven being moved so that our biggest division rival can play their Denver game with extra time to get their star QB and CB back.... -
Week 5: Bills at Titans on Tuesday Night Football

There is no reason to keep aspects of a plan like that secret, or hidden from the public. What is the threshold of players/staff infected before they postpone a game? Where is the "extra" time built into the season or the end of the season for make-up games? What are the consequences for a team that breaks protocol? From any objective point of view, this looks thrown together. It looks like they based their entire plan on wishful thinking. -

Everything is on the fly. There is no, "if this happens, we do this" set of guidelines. I mean, a pandemic is interfering with the season. Who could have foreseen that? (that's my best sarcasm, btw) -
Pats-Broncos moved to Sunday 10/18
Success replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If Lock plays, the Broncos have a shot. They're not as bad as their record. -
I lurk on one of the Pats boards. Don't ask me why; it's a weird thing. But the near constant mantra since we started hot is "the Bills have started hot before - they always unravel." I mean, some truth - but that was with a completely different team, coach, GM, owner, QB...the works. This is the same team in name only. But still....it worries me. Irrationally.

Yeah - I said walnuts....but it's really peanuts. It's almost like when someone asks me who my favorite band is. I take the Beatles out of the equation, because they're so far ahead that it isn't fair & it's not really that interesting to say them because they're so clearly the GOAT. I'll revise my answer to peanuts. I'm nothing without peanut butter.

Revisting 2019 Draft - D.K. Metcalf?

We wouldn't have traded for Diggs. I love Diggs. Everything has been perfect. -
Chargers: Herbert will remain starter, Tyrod to bench
Success replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Lynn didn't have a choice, and it's the right decision given how Herbert has played. But man, what terrible luck for Taylor. I know he's a wealthy man, but I still feel bad about the circumstances. I hope he gets another shot somewhere else. -
AC/DC on GMFB = Super Bowl halftime?
Success replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
LOL Those guys are like the Beatles. Whenever I have seen them show up at award shows or wherever, the screams are out of control. I'm like my Dad now. There are so many things were I just furrow my brow and say something like, "I don't get it...." -
Walnuts. Love 'em in my oatmeal, in my chocolate chip cookies, and on apple pie.

Week 6: Chiefs at Bills (+5): Monday 5pm on Fox
Success replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Maybe I'm overthinking it, but I think this is where Josh Allen's pure love of the game gives us an advantage. Tuesday night, short prep time for the league's best team, general uncertainty - just observing him so far, I don't think any of it will bother him a bit. He strikes me as the kind of player that just wants to know when kickoff is & can't wait to get out there. That's really how the whole team has to be this season. No matter what happens, you just have to roll with it and play the game whenever they tell you to, and with whoever you have. -
Week 5: Bills at Titans on Tuesday Night Football
Success replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's such a unique year. I shocked myself by actually having a teensy bit of sympathy for the Patriots w/ the way the NFL handled Pats/Chiefs and Cam. But my guess is that just about every team will have to make some compromises and quick adjustments before the season is through. It's the trade-off for actually having football - which is a trade-off I'll make any ol' time. -

Zero complaints. The team that wins the championship this year is the one that can be pretty nimble and adjust on the fly. I'm glad we get Bills football this week & next. Are we the 1st ever Tuesday night football game? -
I want to play, because I think we'd beat them. But getting the W by forfeit would drive Patriots fans bananas. So, there is some benefit there.

Any way they'd have to forfeit the 2000 game? -

That's fair, and you're right - I'm not taking much of that into consideration. It's just frustrating for me as a fan. From the outside, it seems like they're just making it up as they go along, and hoping for the best. But I'm sure there is a ton that goes into it that makes things more complicated than I'm allowing for. -
That was a BIG play in the game on Sunday. It came at a time when we most needed it. Special teams can be downplayed - especially both the return game, and punting. A great punt that pins an opponent deep can be just as impactful - we've been lacking that, but hoping it develops.
