I also don’t believe for one second that the Bills would trade away Diggs without Allen’s blessing. They just wouldn’t. And Allen wouldn’t be saying to the Bills, “sure, Stefon and me are buddies. Do what my buddy wants.” No way. Josh wanted him out as bad as anyone. Maybe even orchestrated it behind the scenes for all we know. (Conspiracy theory) but make no mistake. Josh Allen and the Bills coaching staff and front office wanted Diggs gone. They couldn’t care less about the media.

But a lot were after the last 10 horrendous games of his Buffalo career.

Rex Ryan was a lazy, awful head coach. To even think he’d have more success than McDermott is stupid at best. McDermott took Ryan’s roster, stripped it to nothing, and had more success than Ryan ever thought of having.

Kind of guy you sign in case you don’t end up with a low-round or UFA target. Break glass in case of emergency.

Diggs has been traded from 2 teams under similar circumstances. #14 is the problem here. To even pretend he isn’t is ignorant. He acted the same way, if not worse, last off-season.

FWIW, Cowherd is claiming he heard Allen was getting tired of Diggs last off-season.

He deserves to talk ***** to those guys for sure. They weren’t exactly nice to him.

Some big ol’ hot takes in this thread. I remember getting roasted after I said we had a problem with Diggs after he was flapping his arms like a Teradactyl in front of Allen during the Bengals playoff game. I thought he’d be a sure fire release next off-season. It was obviously so bad with him they couldn’t wait any longer.

You sound like a Diggs groupie that is out of touch with what has been going on with the Buffalo Bills.

Diggs will be fine for the Texans the next couple of seasons. He’s like the spouse that gets caught cheating and promises to change their ways. They are on their best behavior after being caught (traded)……but only for a while.

I’d be willing to bet the Bills would have taken less. It is obvious this trade was more about getting Diggs off the team than it was about compensation coming back for doing so.
