Re: Kirkley - McD will have an easier time adjusting the scheme to hide his limitations than he will for Klein or Dodson. I still really don’t expect a LB to be added, especially to start, but they’d have 2 weeks to learn as much as possible.

Also credited with zero missed tackles. Did surrender 75% completions for 9 yards per, and a QB Rating of 90 last year.

His coverage numbers are BAD, doesn’t offer much that AJ Klein can’t do himself.

Obvs player safety always comes first, but that’s pretty ***** on the multi-billion dollar, non-profit NFL to not even issue partial refunds.

Keep him unless it’s stupid compensation, 3rd or better. Hell, maybe 2nd or better.

Let’s not get carried away over end of roster preseason play, Kyle Allen is #2 for the foreseeable future, but finding a developmental guy is a very good idea with Barkley’s status up in the air. This is clearly a difficult offense to learn, seeing the last 4 backup QBs have looked hit steaming garbage other than when they play the TC bodies. Get a kid in now so he has a full year to learn the offense and is already under contract when Kyle Allen’s expires next year. Maybe Kyle Allen figures it out and gets and extension, who knows. My preference for a #2 QB is a guy who is willing and able to scramble.

Keep and develop, bolsters the depth at CB. I refuse to call him a bust, but he has been a disappointment thus far. Thankfully, we don’t need him to be starting material yet.

Because of his positive play, not his competition’s negative play.
