LIVE ***NFL Draft, Day 3, coverage at noon.
TheyCallMeAndy replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall
We now have: 5 6 6 -
They used to take Johnson off the field, but Klein was SO BAD at coverage they were forced to evolve. Williams gives them scheme flexibility, we really don’t want Johnson on the field when the opponent is in 11 personnel.

This confirms the return of 3 LB sets. If it’s Williams- Bernard - Milano you have incredible speed and coverage ability. He’s closer to 230

I’m pretty sure the NFL would make a ton of money if they had an add free, no 2 minute pre-pick announcement BS speeches premium draft that could be paid for. Just make all the subscribers sign an NDA for the picks to avoid spoilers 😅

The Bills pick at 91 is projected to be :

He honestly wouldn’t be an awful 5th rounder if he survives the 4th. -
“D’s what?” - a joke that Josh Allen has 100% made already

I sooo wish we had athletic testing on him, super curious to see where his speed, burst, and agility times would have been.

Idle Speculation on who will be the Bills Pick at #59
TheyCallMeAndy replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’ve been open to that reality all spring, even did a thread on it. I think there is a real shot that if Bernard is viewed a OLB and we plan on seeing 3 LBers more this year (something McD is known for), then there are LBers that can be had in round 2 or round 3 that can likely dethrone Dodson and Klein at some point in September. I wasn’t shy about my opinion that Jack Campbell was a April 28th starting LB on this team, but Sanders, Simpson, 22oh, and Henley can all probably be a starting MLB on this team. They would just require more developmental time. -
Idle Speculation on who will be the Bills Pick at #59

Lots of WRs should still be on the board. I wouldn’t rule out a trade up as well in round 2. Marvin Mims at 59 would make me happy, seems most of the guys ranked for the spots we’d be picking are mostly edge, WRs, and safeties. -
He’Ll Be tHeRE aT 59 😑

Will DeAndre Hopkins be available this offseason?
TheyCallMeAndy replied to NeverOutNick's topic in The Stadium Wall
Only person allowed to do that and still have our unconditional love is Von. Hop isn’t shy about wanting to join the Bills, that is the only reason why I think this may happen. I also think his comments fuel these BS Twitter insiders we have to deal with every year. IC Bob was ahead of him time. -
Your one, and only one, draft hot take?
TheyCallMeAndy replied to Sammy Watkins' Rib's topic in The Stadium Wall
My hot take is we will fall madly in love with an early pick, hate a mid round pick, and fall again for a UDFA. -

How would he know? -
Meh, I’m at work on my cell 🤷🏻♂️ Re: Campbell - I think there is almost no shot he makes it to 59, if Bills want to get him and he slides into round two, he’ll be gone before 40. We will see, where CJC gets drafted is one of the top storylines in my eyes. I’ve read Simpson doesn’t work off blockers well, transitions best to WLB. I will fall in love with whoever the Bills draft though.
-
I’ll play: 1) LB J. Campbell - Day one starter at MLB, slightly lower ceilings than Edmunds but much higher floor. I don’t understand why he isn’t a unanimous first round pick. 2) WR M. Mims - You want speed? You got speed. Will push for snaps in 2023. WR is an investment position, Diggs, Davis, and Knox will be the primary pass targets in 2023. Rather than naming random players, here are the positions: 3) DT - No one is under contract in 2023, should push Settle, maybe Phillips by year end. 4) TE - Bills don’t run 12 a ton, but someone who can push for the #2 job and provide depth incase Knox ever gets hurt would be great. 5) OL - An athlete who can back up the 3 IOL spots. 6) DB - Safety depth is good on paper but has serious red flags, top of the CB depth chart has concerns as well. McBeane love them some DB.

Sorry, but if we trade our first for Hopkins and a 2nd Beane should be fired

There will be drafts those years as well, and free agency. Not all of those needs will actually be needs when the time comes.
