  1. It’s become the exercise of choice for me. I’d love to still run/jog but in my 30s the muscle soreness outweighs the benefits. I do a 5-10 minute walk if it’s nice out to get out of the office. Sometimes 20 minute walk after work at the local park then a 5 mile walk on the weekends. Lets me clear my head from being around people as well
  2. Agree. People in general are exhausting as hell
  3. This tread is like so 1993 😝
  4. I do love the city of Cleveland so I like the Browns. Other teams I like/liked seeing do well to some extent. Detroit Lions- they kind of remind me of the Bills/Browns over the years. Underdogs. Heck the only time they made an NFC championship I believe was in 1991 when they got steamrolled by the Redskins (or WFT). The few interactions with their fans over the years I had have usually been pleasant. The interactions fans on this site have talked about with Lions fans has usually been pleasant as well. That 2nd to last 2018 game. Plus during the 7 inch snow storm of 2014 they let the team use their field...... which happened to be one of my favorite drought games. The 38-3 beating of the Jets. I mean I'm not a fan per say but I you know they'd probably be my NFC team if I had to choose. NY Jets- if they have non d-baggy players/coaches on their team I don't mind seeing them do well. The days of Vincenzo Testaverde, Chad Pennington, Wayne Chrebet, Curtis Martin, and Herman Edwards I pulled for them. I even felt a little bad for them last year. Philly Eagles- I rooted pretty hard for them as a kid in the NFC in the 90's during the Rich Kotite/Ray Rhodes years. I think a lot of what fueled that was Dallas had always been their biggest nemesis. And of course I was very happy when they beat the Patriots in the Super Bowl a few years ago
  5. I’m still around here but more a lurker than participater these days. When I was a kid the Mets would come on Sports Channel at a premium cost and my dad who was a big Met fan who introduced me to the team didn’t wanna pay for it. He’s be like I’m not paying to watch this, total rip off!!! So ironically I learned most of the game by watching the Yankees. A form of child abuse? Lol. I bring that up because I guess life came full circle for me in that’s how I feel about baseball. I didn’t know who Scott was until I read your post. Looks like he’s very much a numbers guy.... degree in Mathematics and part of the analytics teams with the Red Sox. Perhaps that explains the Richard Head personality you’re kind of touching on? But I mean the teams won 5 games in a row it looks like. And what do we miss Brodie now? 😆
  6. I don't get what they mean by number 7. The Bills had two stray upset wins against the Patriots in the Brady era not one. The 2003 Bledsoe Bills opener as alluded The 2011 week 3 game Fitzpatrick started. I know I sound like I'm nitpicking/being whiny but little stuff like that makes it sound like some know it all shill wrote that article
  7. I'm not sure if the OP felt the need to clean out skeletons or something but it was definitely one of the most disappointing seasons I remember as a fan. The 2019 Jets opening day win felt like some revenge for the 2012 opener against the Jets. Although everything outside of the Buffalo Bills was better overall in 2012 than 2020 imo. I do actually recall Stevie became the first Bills receiver that year to get 1,000 or more yards receiving 3 years in a row. Not even Andre Reed can say that. At the time he was the only Bill to do so. I still think that stands?
  8. An unpopular opinion here I'm sure but even in 2019 I'm not sure how far apart the Browns and Bills were really. The Browns beat the Bills that year. Yeah the Browns were 6-10 and the Bills were 10-6 but the Browns had a much harder schedule that year. I see them (the Bills and Browns) as about equal strength today. You can make an argument for either team. My guess would be if the teams played each other twice it'd be one win and one loss for each team
  9. I was at the Week 3 win against the Patriots in 2011. I felt at that the time it was a REAL turning point for both the Bills and the Patriots. I figured then at the very least the Bills would be a playoff team that year. I felt as well the Patriots at the time 10 year dynasty was staring to break up. They lost to the Jets in the playoffs the season before and now the Bills broke their 15 game losing streak against them. It made the celebrations that day all the more sweeter. A new era! We all had to wait though another 10 years before we starting seeing it actually happen though.
  10. Lol. You gave me some much needed laughs. I could feel the remote going through the TV after reading that 🤣 The only thing I would say long term trajectory is about Cohen. Look it'd be insane to say after 20 or so games new owners new results. He still has to get into his role, etc... At the same time though I still say a good amount about him is lip service until proven otherwise on the field.
  11. I hadn't looked at the Mets thread in a while on the MLB sec of the site, more of a reader of forums these days versus poster. Seems most baseball talk is on this thread. All good. Since they were playing the Phillies last night, 1st game all year I watched a good part of. Observations: I have never seen a pitcher with the number 0 on a uniform before. The Phillies pitcher in the 8th inning was a little too exaggerated there for my liking as well. I don't think anything will trickle out of this. But who knows in this social media age? It's not the days of kids having fights and cooling off. Everything continues online Only the Mets can actually lose a game where the only runs they gave up were on a strikeout with 2 outs! Wonder if that's ever happened in baseball before. I can't remember ever seeing it
  12. I'm not a big hockey fan but was 1994 one of the best years ever for the playoffs? This Sabres/Devils series which went to 7 games and showcased possibly the best goalie performance ever in a game by Hasek The ECF with the Devils/Rangers Series going to the 7th game overtime. The 1994 finals with the Rangers/Canucks going to the 7th game
  13. In the 90s I was as a grade/middle schooler. The Ewing/Starks/Oakley/Mason days. Then basketball fandom just kind of waned on me all together. I didn't even know they were a good team until I opened your thread. If you're into watching Knicks games from the 90's/early 2000's , I highly recommend his channel. He has a lot of gems https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCarNznjEzoD52qHQIZ_nA5A
  14. Gordon Lightfoot Bryan Adams Alanis Morisette I'll give Carly Rae Jepsen honorable mention
  15. Actually quite the opposite for me in terms of the late 90s/early 2000 Yankees. I always respected them and would root for them against the Braves. I thought they were classy guys. But they had a lot of steroid guys on those teams: Knoblauch, Clemens, Pettitte (I don’t think he was a big user and I still respect him but still), Dave Justice, Canseco, and I’m sure missing other names. Add in Jimmy Leyritz I believe killed someone driving drunk in 2006. plus there’s Chad Curtis and Wettland as well https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.woodtv.com/news/barry-county/curtis-out-of-prison-after-serving-7-years-for-sex-assaults/amp/
  16. Stevie Johnson was always a good WR but never really a true #1 in my opinion. Especially thinking of 2010-2012 when he didn't have much else help in that position. So 2010-2012 SJ13, Diggs, and Beasley would be something else
  17. Following drafts honestly has never been my thing unless there's areas of need that scream out. But the point I was trying to make and as you say there's still certainly long term talent to be found later on in the 1st round and beyond that
  18. Thurman Thomas was selected 40th in the draft. Just sayin'
  19. not sure it’s really a song? But it’s under 3 minutes and is still really funny
  20. Now that I think off it that whole Money Ball approach gained popularity after As coped with life after their big bopper Giambi left. The game is now way too analytical for my taste...takes the heart out of it. Rey Ordonez was a personal fave for his glove. I remember he became an ego case later though. I loved Todd Hundley growing up! I remember the Yankees always had outwardly clean and proper players. Meanwhile Hundley was this chain smoking/sleep 2 hours a night to counter that lol. Only thing is her turned out to be a steroid guy as well. That year he set the record for most hrs as a catcher. I still contend that’s why Piazza had a hard time with the Mets fans at first... he was replacing a beloved Met as catcher
  21. I like the Mets as well but I think the 2001 World Series is where baseball interest peaked for me in my lifetime to the point now I just only look at the scores for the most part. I guess I’m looking at it through a Mets fans lens but even if the Yankees win the World Series, I mean what fun is it? Their signing of Jason Giambi in 2002 is where I think they kind of jumped the shark. Buying players who turned out to be a steroid guy anyway. Before then you can definitely make the case the Yankees didn’t buy their championships... most of the players before that were home grown talent. Plus what happened to guys like Turk Wendell in the game that actually had personality? 🤷🏼‍♂️
  22. Dark Water (Jennifer Connelly version) My Life Snoopy Come Home I'll add Tammy and The T Rex is a movie that can make me laugh so hard I cry for all the wrong reasons.
  23. I think so 😀. But who is this prince Hairy the OP speaks of?
  24. Hairy or Harry 😆
