For me Woodbridge, NJ. It still a solid middle class town with not too high crime rates. However, the demographics where I grew up changed like a lot. There’s really only one family I still know in my part of town since the 90s. As a product of Catholic schools for some years most of the Catholic schools shut down due to lack of enrollment. There was a mini strip mall a few blocks from where I used to live but just about all those stores are gone. Had some good memories growing up of the bagel shop there and Easy Video aka Sleazy Video. In recent years though “luxury apartments” have really skyrocketed. They are built all across town. So yeah I mean it is what it is but I don’t get childhood nostalgia from visiting.

Top Gun 2 was one of the few movies of the last few years to gaze my interest. I would say I thought the first one (1986) was all right but I just couldn't really get into the 2022 one. I usually like Lady Gaga as well and that theme song she did for that movie was my least fave song she ever did. But what Damon said there makes a lot of sense. Movies I think were trending that way but streaming services and the pandemic sped it up.

Yeah I mean I had that thread where I spoke of movies not interesting me much these days. To me even the music or theme songs were a lot better in movies back in the day. Great tune that still holds up

Horrible story. When I read stuff like this I’m reminded life as precious no matter how much it can feel like it sucks at times. And yeah Jersey drivers are the worst. This may very well be the cheesiest song of all time. I wouldn't argue with you if you thought that. But it does bring back memories of being young and innocent. I still like the song. I still remember watching this movie Author! Author! over 20 years ago now. I stuck it out because Pacino was in it. Movie was all right but I still recall the ending theme song Another one by the same artist Michael Franks. It's very Yacht Radio like. Feels like this song goes well with a cold beer in hand after a long day. It has that 80s feel to it.

Gailey I thought was real good at maximizing the talent and strengths of his teams from an offensive standpoint. Thats why 2012 was one of the years I felt the most hurt by when it didn’t work out.
