Have you ever quit following a sports team?
Another Fan replied to Miyagi-Do Karate's topic in Off the Wall
At least the Braves lost last night Getting older and traveling more I hear that. It's pretty fake of me to call myself a fan but there's teams like the Sabres, Reds, and Pirates where I'm like yeah it'd definitely be cool to see them do well. I would definitely have added the Cleveland sports teams there but the Indians name change was kind of a turn off to me and the Browns going so in on Watson -

I grew up in New Jersey and used to like the Devils in the 90s. It helped they were good then as well. After Martin Brodeur retired I couldn’t tell you player on the team. The Devils didn’t really do anything to turn me off my interest just completely faded over time. It helped as well I used to know a fair amount of fans and went to school with them. Today I lost touch with all those people. Actually ditto the NY Knicks and the Nets once they moved to Brooklyn. -
The Giants really bothered me for the longest time. Can’t forget making this then 7 year old crying his eye out. Hell I even bought a Baltimore Ravens shirt after they beat them in the Super Bowl. I would say this though the 2 Super Bowl wins over the Patriots helped ease the dislike a lot. Plus since 2011 they’ve have their struggles as well. The Jets even beat them 3 times in a row in the regular season now. And looking back the 1990 Giants were a pretty good team as well with a good coach. Super Bowl 28 is the one to bother me now the most all these years removed.

In real time I still remember thinking that call was BS but relieved and happy at the same moment

The Jets don’t look half bad this year so far. With 7 teams now in the playoffs it’s early but I could see them getting in if all holds up. The Sabres better step it up this year! I remember those years the Bills had the longest playoff drought in the 4 main sports…. it wasn’t nice!

I guess the Dalton/Boyd love wore off based on some of the responses. For me it's really only the Chiefs and the Patriots. The Chiefs have finally overtook the Patriots to me as team I can't deal with the most right now.

Perhaps it was already brought up but #28 on Miami looks and moves an awful lot like CJ Spiller. Same number too. -

Bills closing in on .500 in all time rivalry vs Miami. -
Her rally quote definitely hit a nerve with him. He couldn't let that one go

A Few Thoughts about the Cardinals Game, in no particular order
Another Fan replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
Was what it was. A game I won’t get too high or low off. Funny though in the pre McDermott era I would have thought a win like that was epic…. come back from down 2TDs and it coming down to that final Arizona play -
Daniel Jones leaving the stadium to intense heckling

I agree. When I hit play on that link I was expecting a lot more vulgar comments thrown his way -

His pops did die during the week which I mean sucks for him. My feelings about him as a person aside. That being said I don't think he's that good. Or a good fit for that offense. Flacco was actually I think a better option -
The Giants today had the ugliest uniforms of any football team I've ever seen.

I only lived in two homes in my life so there is that. But yeah it sounds per what you write Williamsville hasn’t changed much over the years

For me Woodbridge, NJ. It still a solid middle class town with not too high crime rates. However, the demographics where I grew up changed like a lot. There’s really only one family I still know in my part of town since the 90s. As a product of Catholic schools for some years most of the Catholic schools shut down due to lack of enrollment. There was a mini strip mall a few blocks from where I used to live but just about all those stores are gone. Had some good memories growing up of the bagel shop there and Easy Video aka Sleazy Video. In recent years though “luxury apartments” have really skyrocketed. They are built all across town. So yeah I mean it is what it is but I don’t get childhood nostalgia from visiting.

@ExWNYer @Gugny @SinceThe70s Happy Labor Day guys Well I ate some crow above. I saw a team that can battle the 1962 Mets record for losses and I thought yeah tailor made the White Sox will take 2 out of 3. lol Silver linings: It's September and the team is going to be playing meaningful baseball. Better than what I expected early in the season.

Someone actually made a video of all his picks last year. This user thought 10 out of the 18 were actually "bad ones". The others coming on Hail May attempts, chucking it up on 3rd and long, and or deflections
