  1. Mariota is better than both of them, with a team with less quality talent than Miami or Buffalo...and way less than Dallas BTW. He's something like 25-0 scoring in the red zone this year. If you could have your pick from the 3 of them, which one would you choose?
  2. Commentators and reporters kept asking Gronk and Hoodie what they thought of the non-call, as if the refs blew it. The idea is so embedded now that the league is in bed with NE that even the "pros" are stunned when they don't get a biased call. But to prove that favoring Tommy Boy is still an unbreakable habit of the refs, how about the roughing the passer call where the defender was pushed to the ground and towards Brady, then grabs him by...the ankle? WTF? And the commentators were calling that "a dangerous tackle." And what about the refs never penalizing NE's Oline for constantly cross body blocking at the Seattle D's knees?
  3. That was confirmed by the first two games.
  4. MAJBobby, you changed you name!
  5. When you say "damnable Bills," don't you really mean Rex, Rob, Dennis and Ed? Who will likely be back next year, and the next year, and the next year, ad infinitum, because, well, "continuity," it's the key to success. Maybe not Ed though; why would he want to be associated with this? And probably not Dennis because, see, someone's got to take the beating when the Bills go 4-12 or maybe, if they get lucky, 6-10. So Rex and Rob Forever. I mean, who would get rid of a genius, and when you have two of them, well then, you're really living the high life.
  6. Boce, I look forward to your weekly reviews. You tend to tamp down lots of the criticisms with actual facts.
  7. The title caught my eye so I was going to read it. Then I saw it was from Yeezus so decided to skip it. How did it turn out?
  8. What year did you envision this happening?
  9. Would it really surprise anyone if the Bills didn't win another game this year? I don't really believe they have won their last game of the year but honestly it wouldn't surprise me if that happened, especially with Wood done for the season, McCoy constantly in danger of damaging his hammie again, and TT always at risk of being knocked out for a game or two or three.
  10. This is totally demented. In the previous two drafts he took at least 4 I can think of off hand. And when did he ever say that "guards aren't valuable"? The old maxim about building a football team was that you did it "from front to back, from inside to outside." Which is pretty much what I think you're saying, and it's something I agree with.
  11. This idea of coaching continuity makes sense...if you have the right coach. The downside of continuity above all else sometimes gives you a Jeff Fisher or a Marvin Lewis. Very good point. And this is not...
  12. What about the Patriots?
  13. More like all FOUR Ryan's suck...
  14. Your screen name suggests you're a joker so I guess this post is meant to give us all a laugh.
  15. You do know Harvin hasn't been retired for ten years, right?
  16. Watched the UCLA game last night with a guy who's involved with the program. Says Rosen might be done forever. Like in, career over.
  17. Oh, man, you're in trouble now, you've used facts and then compounded your foolishness by not accepting as Holy Writ that Shag is a wasted pick, that Dareus is a failure, that Sammy cost elevendy seven picks, and that TT's agent hornswoggled Whaley. Don't you know we live in a time when anyone can make up crazy stuff out of thin air and pretend it's true, and the rest of us are supposed to nod in agreement?
  18. Actually, I think we agree that QB is a position of high need and that there is no proper replacement either on the Bills or in the upcoming draft. As to a looming need for WRs, I wouldn't be spending a first round pick on one without a QB who can properly utilize him. We already have Sammy, whose talent is hugely under-used (when he can stay healthy). There are more pressing needs than elite receivers at this point.
  19. And if pigs could fly...yadda yadda yadda.
  20. Bob Dylan's "Desolation Row."
  21. I agree with your premise but I have to ask, Who are you going to get to replace him? EJ and Cardale are not my idea of a vast improvement, and none of the likely QBs coming out of college seem to be either. That leaves current NFL QBs and I honestly doubt that any one of them that will be readily available will be a significant upgrade, if at all. So that leaves you with the choice of sticking with TT for another year or two or three, or just replacing him with whatever you can get just to save money. BTW, there is one current NFL QB who might want to get out of what looks like a lousy situation with no signs of improvement and that's Andrew Luck.
  22. I would have the same criticism about using a high first round pick (and you know it will be high with this team) on a WR. It's like buying your 90 year old grandmother a Ferrari. Until the QB situation changes, I think it's a wasted pick. Safety, cornerback, probably OT, those seem like the positions of greatest need, after QB of course.
  23. Darnold might already be the best in the nation. He's certainly the best in the PAC 12. And he's only a freshman. Now let's see if he can keep improving and avoid any serious injuries. Since he's taken over, SC has become a beast. I'd love to see them play Alabama now. For those of you who haven't watched Darnold and SC, they're on ESPN at 7PM EDT this Saturday.
