This is the team that really has the biggest question marks and it has nothing to do with any possibility of a success story this year. Why in God’s name would you roll with a 70+ year old coach and a GM who has made repeatedly bad decisions for the past six seasons? If you were going to trade the best quarterback your franchise has ever had and roll with Geno Smith and Drew Lock as your quarterbacks, then you should probably go ahead and recognize that the time has come to move forward and rebuild the franchise from the GM to the coach. There is some talent on this team, it’s just no longer in the front office or coaching ranks.

You cannot overstate the importance of McCaffrey to that team. He is their best player by such a wide margin....but his health has taken a 2 year hiatus and it seems to be enjoying the vacation....

I dunno. Williams always looked bad. Mekhi had a pretty decent rookie season then got hurt and didn't rehab properly it seems. I don't think Saleh lasts past this season. He was a very good DC, but hasn't shown a darn thing as an HC. Outright stating that Becton is done as a LT through the media seems to either be calling his guy out or motivating him, with neither of those being the best way to manage a player.

The DL has not been as big of a conversation here relative to last year, but that is the group that can really turn up the D. We know that the DB's will be good to elite when Tre returns, but the heat that the front 4 bring is what I am excited to see. Stuff the run and let Groot, Boogie and that Miller fellow cook from the outside. edit: Maybe even AJ who still doesn't look like a DE who is physically strong enough to play in the league.

It's hard to watch a guy play post-college when he actually hasn't played post-college. Hodgins needs to show-out because he is on the outside looking in right now alongside Stevenson who got burn on last years team.

Another reason I am happy to have the braintrust of Beane and Co in charge of our Bills. Players want to be here and are rewarded accordingly for doing so. The Chiefs, perennial contenders at this point, had the equivalent of a Stefon Diggs trade and a Dion Dawkins non-report this season. We would be losing it if that were the Bills...and the Chiefs management is actually well respected in the league

See. That’s the problem with people. I just stated why some people might be siding with him. I never said that I would be, but it was the only thing that I can think of that would have people backing him up. He has never proven to be an NFL quarterback in his time in the league. He seems to have a pretty prickly demeanour and nobody has really stood up for him amongst his coaches and former coaches. You decided that it was political. My last statement was lighthearted. Any single statement out there seems to be able to be twisted to whatever people want it to be. Take it easy.

Like most of us, I eat up all the information in preseason that I can. I like the idea of one thread per practice day.
