Promoting from within would mean something on our offense was pretty above and ahead of other things we were doing on offense. This offense was basic in all aspects. So I think promoting from within wouldn’t be the best way to go.

We don’t give excuses. That’s why we are on our way to a 20 year playoff drought. But we are too quick to call a coach a bust. Our roster is in a shakeup right now and the teams you named all have a pretty solid roster. The least we should do, in my opinion, is allow the GM and coach 3-5 years to build their roster. Not trying to disrespect your opinion, though. I don’t want to come across as one of those guys.

Man....year one and the guy is already on the spit with the apple in his mouth. This team is going to go nowhere unless you have some patience and allow a rookie coach to grow into the position and build his type of team.

Kind of feels like a chip Kelly-Eagles situation right now. Stubbornly trading talent for cheap so you can install what you think is a plug and play system that can be successful no matter who is operating in it.

I don’t see why you’d get rid of an offensive coordinator week 12 of the season. If a move were to be made there, it would have to be in the off season. We don’t have an Anthony Lynn waiting in the wings. And installing a new system week 12 is just not possible. A switch from Leslie would be easier to do given that McDermott could take over for a few weeks until a new one can be found.

You simply cannot win an nfl game with a defense playing like this. Enough about the offense until we see the defense prove they can stop a run or cover a pass.
