I could be wrong, and please feel free to correct me if so, but wasn’t dropping DEs into coverage a large part of Rex’s defensive scheme? For some reason I think I remember Mario Williams complaining about it. anyway, if Jackson dropped into coverage when he should have been holding contain, either that was a communication error, or he simply made a bad read. That feels like a good teaching moment for a guy making his first start if it’s his mistake. Otherwise, clean up communication issues. if that was Bernard’s job to come up and hold contain, yikes.

Not loving the trend. It was hard fought games against the dolphins and the saints, who were both inferior teams and aren’t very good. And now we lose to the patriots. Maybe this team just isn’t that good

This is some of the ugliest football I’ve seen from this team in a long time. And somehow they’re still scoring 30 and winning by multiple scores. Pretty crazy to think what they’re capable of

To me this looks similar to many passing plays, when the tackles stand up early right before the ball is snapped, but the league always dismissed it as being “bang bang”. But now because the league hates the tush push, they’re slowing it down to super slow mo and saying it’s a false start.

Hawes has been bullying Chubb all game. My goodness he’s a beast

He played fine. The 51 yard pass he kept with him and the ball was thrown well where Elam couldn’t get to it. He among the others often played off the ball. This happens in many eagles games considering their wide receivers and tight ends aren’t exactly low talent. He held his own against one of the best receiving corps in the league. He also had a really nice camp from all accounts. I wish the kid all the success in the world. It just didn’t work out with us.

This. The chiefs o line has been awful all year. It’s just par for the course that an inferior o line dominates our d line when it counts. They weren’t going to have the same success against the eagles d line. They’re relentless
